Chapter 21 Earth Immortals Are Also Immortals

Sheng Laosan couldn't hear what Jin Tong and Yu Nu were saying, but Xinghe heard it all clearly.

She originally thought this had nothing to do with her, but now it seems she really is involved.

She glanced at the Golden Boy and the Jade Girl. The Golden Boy looked pitiful, his eyes brimming with tears, while the Jade Girl's eyes darted around nervously.

Xinghe couldn't ignore the mess her own little devil had made, and she really wanted to see what other demons Shengyue could create.

Is it because she's been too good-natured lately? That's why everyone thinks she's easy to bully?

Xinghe remembered Shengyue's room and walked towards it.

"What are you trying to do?" Sheng Laosan nervously followed, trying to stop Xinghe.

Xinghe glanced at him, then used her teleportation ability to disappear from his sight and reappear at the gate.

She originally wanted to interact with them as an ordinary person, but now she's come clean and isn't pretending anymore.

Sheng Laosan's pupils contracted sharply, his shattered worldview once again teetering on the brink of collapse, as if it could not bear the weight.

Xinghe glanced at him, gave a casual smirk, and walked inside.

"Wait! Stop right now! You're not allowed to hurt Yueyue!"

Sheng Laosan scrambled in after him.

All the brothers were in the room. Sheng Yue leaned against the eldest brother's chest, looking very weak.

They heard Sheng Laosan's voice and looked at Xinghe warily.

"They're all here, what a coincidence."

So that she doesn't have to go looking for them one by one.

Old Man Sheng scrambled in, shouting, "I knew it was her! She just teleported right from the fountain to the door right in front of me! I don't know what kind of weird stuff she's learned!"

The brothers had different expressions.

This world is just too mysterious, overturning their understanding of the past twenty years. They need to calm down.

However, what shocked them even more was yet to come.

Xinghe looked at Shengyue and said, "You said you were scared? Scared by what, what ghost?"

Sheng Yue's face was deathly pale as she clung tightly to Sheng Laoda's arm. "I don't know either. I just heard a sound, the sound of a ball bouncing."

"What else? Did you encounter a ghost wall, or a ghost carrying a sedan chair? Or were you possessed by a little ghost?"

Sheng Yue's eyes flashed. "Little devil, yes, I saw a little devil."

"What do male and female ghosts look like? What are their distinctive features?"

"I...I don't remember, I'm so scared."

Sheng Yue nestled into Sheng Laoda's arms, looking pitiful and weak.

"That's enough. Yueyue is already like this, what more do you want?" Sheng Laosan stood in front of Xinghe.

Xinghe ignored Sheng Laosan and asked, "You little brat, right?"

She reached out and grabbed the two wild ghosts from mid-air.

Ordinary people cannot see ghosts, but Xinghe has a way; she directly made two wild ghosts appear.

The two wild ghosts arrived at the Sheng family looking completely bewildered. The moment they saw Xinghe, their eyes lit up, and they pounced on her, calling her "Fairy Maiden."

"Fairy Maiden! Fairy Maiden, are you missing us?"

"We will absolutely not refuse any orders from the fairy maiden!"

Ghosts and humans are fundamentally different. No matter how obsequious the two wild ghosts' smiles are, they cannot conceal the deathly aura emanating from them.

It was grayish-white with a hint of black, semi-transparent, and its feet didn't touch the ground; it cast no shadow under the light.

The Sheng brothers' breathing quickened, their pupils contracted slightly, and they all stood up to protect Sheng Yue behind them.

Even Sheng Laowu, who used to smile at Xinghe, turned serious and looked at Xinghe warily.

Sheng Yue screamed the instant the ghost appeared, "Ah!"

The next second, her voice was stuck in her throat, and she looked at Xinghe in terror, unable to utter a single word.

"Tell me what good things you did today," Xinghe said, not bothering to listen to the two wild ghosts' nonsense.

The two ghosts stealthily glanced at the Golden Boy and Jade Girl, but one of them looked down and the other looked up at the sky, neither of them looking at them.

Under Xinghe's gaze, the two wild ghosts stammered out what had happened that morning.

"So you only scared these few people, but not her?" Xinghe pointed at Shengyue.

The two wild ghosts nodded repeatedly, "The two celestial children only told us to scare them, not to mention that woman, so we didn't touch her."

"Okay." Xinghe removed the gag from Shengyue's mouth. "Is there anything else you want to say?"

Sheng Yue retreated in fear, instinctively pulling Boss Sheng in front to shield herself, hoping to feel safer.

"It wasn't them, it was someone else, a little devil!" Her soul trembled with fear, yet her mind was incredibly clear.

Xinghe remained calm. "Within a radius of ten miles, there are no souls. I set up an array in the courtyard so that wandering ghosts cannot enter."

"Xinghe, I know you don't like me, but you—" Sheng Yue's eyes were full of hurt and disbelief, tears welling up in her eyes but not falling, making her look incredibly pitiful.

Xinghe tapped the ground with his foot, "Where is the land?"

The Earth God appeared out of thin air in the room.

The Earth God sensed that the Milky Way was calling him, and upon emerging, he went straight to the Milky Way, fawning over it as much as the two wild ghosts.

"Does the fairy need my help? Just say the word, and I will definitely do it for you, even if it means going through fire and water."

The Earth God patted his chest loudly.

Xinghe, "Help me check the wandering ghosts within a ten-mile radius."

The Earth God laughed, "Fairy, you're joking. With you here, what wandering ghost would dare to cause trouble here? Without your permission, even I can't enter this place."

Xinghe nodded and continued to look at Shengyue.

"I know you're ignorant, so let me introduce you. This is the Earth God of the City God Temple, the head of the underworld's office in the human world. This whole area is under his jurisdiction."

Only then did the Earth God notice the person next to him.

Regardless, the Earth God is also part of the underworld's hierarchy, and the Earth Immortal is still an immortal. Facing mortals, he straightened his back and glanced at them.

"What business do you mortals have of seeing me?"

It's a completely different attitude towards the Milky Way.

The series of unexpected events left the Sheng family members somewhat dazed, and no one spoke for a moment.

The local deity and others were getting a little impatient.

Xinghe said slowly, "She said she encountered a ghost today, a little ghost, and was so scared she almost died, so I asked you to ask her about it."

The Earth God put on a fawning smile again, "With the protection of the fairy, not to mention little ghosts, even evil spirits that have been around for hundreds of years can't get in. Isn't this person just lying through their teeth? They were almost scared to death. Although I am just an Earth Immortal, I am also somewhat knowledgeable in traditional Chinese medicine."

Although he was disgusted, the thought of being able to help Xinghe and enjoy the delicious food he had eaten before excited him. He took two steps forward, wanting to help Shengyue take a look.

Sheng Yue screamed and backed away, "Don't come any closer! Don't come any closer! Brother, save me, save me!!"
