Chapter 38 What an amazing face!

Xinghe hadn't really explored the city much yet; she had grown up in the mountains and everything she saw was a novelty to her.

She strolled around.

The two little ones were also incredibly curious, circling around Xinghe, sometimes looking at the snack stalls, sometimes at the trinkets. Xinghe still had some money in his card, and he couldn't control his restless hands, so he bought a lot of random snacks.

The weather in June is unpredictable; even though there were no dark clouds, the rain still poured down.

Like a string of pearls, they fell incessantly.

Pedestrians on the road disappeared at top speed.

Xinghe cast a rain-avoidance spell, and the rain swirled around her before falling to the ground.

It looked a bit fake that she didn't get wet at all in such heavy rain. She created a light drizzle to make herself look more like she blended into her surroundings.

The light rain dampened her hair, which clung to her cheeks.

She remained calm in the rain; she had already sent her location to Uncle Sun, who would be there soon.

Although she could shrink the distance to return home, she would only do such a power-consuming thing when she was showing off. In normal times, she would just behave herself.

The Golden Boy and Jade Girl flew out of the range of the Star River Rain Shelter Technique and played in the water on the ground.

As fewer and fewer people gathered around, Xinghe's eyes narrowed, and his expression became slightly serious.

At another intersection, a group of people appeared, slowly forming an encirclement around Xinghe.

Xinghe's eyes lit up. Since it was offered to her, she wouldn't be polite.

After coming down the mountain, she hadn't stretched her muscles for a long time.

More than ten people surrounded Xinghe, and Peng Mingjun and his two companions also came out.

Peng Mingjun sighed, "Fairy, we didn't want it to be like this either. I really wanted to be friends with you."

"If the fairy is willing to help us, we'll each give her ten million after it's done, how about that?"

They hadn't had high hopes for Xinghe, but as soon as they met, Xinghe revealed their biggest secret.

They did this so perfectly that no one knew about it except the three of them.

If Xinghe is willing to help them, then everything is fine; otherwise—

She can only stay here forever, carrying this secret with her.

Xinghe, "You want me to help you?"

"This is a win-win situation for the fairy."

Xinghe made a hand gesture and said, "I've calculated that you are lacking in virtue, have a bad destiny, and are destined to die young. After you die, the eighteen levels of hell will be your eternal home."

"It seems we can't reach an agreement." Peng Mingjun's face was somewhat gloomy.

Xinghe: "Talk? I can talk to Yama for you after you die."

The man in the shirt said gloomily, "You bitch! I'll send you down to meet them today."

"Brother Su, what's the rush? She can't escape anyway. Before she dies, let's all have some fun."

The third person, who hadn't spoken until now, opened his mouth with nothing but vulgarity and obscenity.

His sallow eyes fell on Xinghe. "I didn't notice earlier, but this bitch is actually quite pretty."

"Ouch!" He had barely finished speaking when he suddenly fell to the ground with a thud.

A small stone appeared under his feet at some unknown time, and he fell, his mouth full of blood.

Who the hell pushed me?

Xinghe glanced at the golden boy and jade maiden in mid-air and gave them a thumbs up.

"She's a bit strange; she'll finish things quickly."

The rain was getting heavier, splashing up droplets on the ground.

The excitement in Xinghe's eyes was almost tangible; they had practically delivered this to their doorstep!

At the intersection, a black Rolls-Royce stopped.

Peng Mingjun and the other two exchanged glances. They were amazed that someone would come to this run-down place in such heavy rain.

Since that's the case, we can't blame them. One is going to die, and two are going to die anyway. They have a lot of experience dealing with corpses.

They exchanged a glance and understood what the other was thinking.

Two henchmen walked out towards the car from behind, with large knives at their waists.

The henchman looked menacing and said, "Get lost if you don't want trouble!"

The car door opened, and a pair of hands, whiter and smoother than jade, reached out.

He gripped the wooden fan handle, opened the umbrella, got out of the car, and walked into the rain and mist.

Her long silver hair was tied back, and the rain soaked her tailor-made shirt and trousers, which clung to her body.

A lean waist and abdomen, and beautifully sculpted leg muscles, faintly visible.

When he looked up, that face appeared in the rain and mist.

His features were exquisite, his dark eyes deep and his high nose gave him a sharp and cold look. However, perhaps due to poor health, his lips were pale and his cheeks lacked color.

He placed his jade-like fingers to his lips and coughed softly.

Golden Boy, "Wow!"

The young woman exclaimed, "Wow!!"

Xinghe exclaimed, "Wow!!!"

Jin Tong's eyes widened in disbelief. "Such a rich white light!"

The maiden exclaimed in surprise, "Such a strong malevolent aura!"

Xinghe, "What an absolutely stunning face!!"

Although the Sheng brothers were not particularly likable, to be fair, they were all good-looking, each with their own handsome features, and even her father was a rare beauty.

But no one could have as much impact as the man in front of him.

It was like a critical hit right from the start.

The handsome man spoke, his voice cool and aloof, "Peng Mingjun, Su Jing, Wang Xiujie, it seems you haven't learned your lesson yet."

In just a few seconds, all of their dozen or so henchmen were knocked to the ground by the driver who got out of the car, rolling around in a sorry state.

The three men's expressions turned serious when they saw the handsome man.

"Young Master Jiang, what are you doing here?"

"It was all a misunderstanding. We were just playing a little joke on this young lady."

The handsome man's face was cold and stern, and his voice was like ice cubes falling into a jade plate, "Such an excuse is better suited to fooling a three-year-old."

“I already warned you last time.”

"Young Master Jiang, please give us another chance. We really didn't mean to do anything."

The three of them were not at all at ease in front of Xinghe, and even Peng Mingjun's expression turned serious.

The handsome man slightly raised his eyes. "It's time to move the Peng family's position."

A casual remark struck the three of them, and Peng Mingjun's face turned pale instantly.

He lowered his head, his face contorted in struggle, then suddenly looked up, pulled out the knife from his waist, and stabbed fiercely at the handsome man.

His face contorted in pain. "You forced me to do this!"

"Holy crap!" Xinghe appeared in front of the handsome man the next second and kicked Peng Mingjun over.

Xinghe turned to look at the handsome man, "Are you alright?"

The handsome man looked at Xinghe with a hint of scrutiny in his eyes, then looked away and gently shook his head. "I'm fine, thank you."

As he got closer, his voice penetrated Xinghe's ears, making them feel both numb and itchy.

The umbrella above her head tilted in her direction, shielding her from the rain.

The moment he reached out his hand, Xinghe seemed to smell a special fragrance.
