Chapter 46 Immortal and Indestructible, Endless

After crossing a large peach orchard, a large cluster of houses appeared in front of them.

Like a wild and unrestrained imagination, strange and bizarre.

There are houses made of giant mushrooms, treehouses growing in trees, houses made of clouds, and lollipop chocolate houses.

There are also Chinese, Western, and various other architectural styles.

A long river runs through the middle of the building.

Countless little girls, smaller than twins, are swimming in the river.

Laughter rose and fell in waves, one after another.

"Want to come down and play?"

"Play with us."

"Why don't you stay here with us?"

They reached out and grabbed the feet of the students closest to them.

The icy chill, like a leech clinging to the bone, crept up the students' feet, threatening to invade their very souls.

The bluish-purple little hands left marks on their ankles.

Several students paused for a few beats, trembling and almost screaming.

Xinghe appeared beside them, pulled them apart, and stuffed a handful of candy into the hands of several little girls.

"They don't like playing in the water."

The girls grabbed the candy, examining it curiously, and said, "Okay then."

"What do they like? Fire, rope, or a big knife? We have all of those here."

A raging fire broke out by the river, with rough, blood-dripping ropes and knives taller than a person; the stench of blood filled the air.

Xinghe didn't even blink. "They're tired. They need to rest before they can play with you."

The children in the river stared at them for a few seconds, then shrank back into the water, continuing to laugh, "Remember to play with us when you've rested enough."

The twin girls tilted their heads and said, "Your sisters want to see you. Come with us."

Xinghe followed the twins like a stroll, observing this strange place.

Even now, she has not sensed any ghostly or malevolent aura.

The twins were referring to several young girls as their older sisters.

Their appearances ranged from delicate and pretty to gentle and graceful to stunningly beautiful. Standing in the peach grove, they were otherworldly.

A fragrant aroma wafted from the peach orchard, and the tense expressions of the group gradually relaxed.

"You've all come from afar, thank you for your hard work. We've prepared some good food and drinks to treat you. Please come with us."

With giggles and laughter, they stepped forward, each taking the arm of the other and pulling them forward.

"Where did the guests come from? No one has come here for many years."

"The guest is really handsome."

“We’ve lived here for a long time, so please feel free to ask if there’s anything we can do to help.”

A gentle breeze blew, and the wariness on their faces was easily replaced as they began to respond to the girls' words.

Sheng Lao Er remained somewhat conscious and wanted to say something to remind her, but his whole body instantly stiffened, and he followed the girl beside him into the center of the banquet like a puppet.

The twin girls' dark pupils lingered on Xinghe for two seconds. Xinghe blinked innocently at them, "Aren't you leaving? They've all gone inside."

The twins then continued to skip and hop ahead, leading the way.

The banquet was lavish, and the group of people became happier and happier as they drank.

Jin Tong was puzzled. "Sister, this isn't an illusion, but it doesn't feel real either. I didn't hear any sounds from the grass or trees."

The maiden said, "I couldn't break the ground with my punch; the ground was fake anyway."

As they were talking, Yang Wen, who was drunk and dizzy, revealed his true nature and started to embrace two women.

He had one arm around a girl's waist and the other on another girl's shoulder, giving it a few inappropriate rubs.

“Come with me. What’s so great about staying in this backwater? My family owns two houses in Beijing. If you come with me, I guarantee you’ll live a life of luxury.”

"Really? You're so amazing."

"Of course, my little darling! When the old folks die, everything in the house will be mine. As long as you're with me, you'll never have to worry about anything for the rest of your life."

His eyes narrowed into slits with laughter, his hands were moving restlessly, and he tilted his head as if trying to kiss the two girls.

Will you always like us?

"Of course, little darling."

"You like it no matter what?"

"I love you, my little baby, I love you the most, come and let your husband give you a kiss."

Xinghe frowned and cursed, "Idiot."

The moment she made a move, the twin girls in front of her blocked her way with a grin.

"You can't break the rules, this is his own choice."

"Hehe, sister, you have to follow the rules."

Before Yang Wen could kiss the girl, she smiled and asked, "So, do you still like it this way?"

The flesh on the face of the pretty girl began to peel away, revealing bloody muscles and eye sockets.

Do you still like it this way?

"Ghost!! Ghost!! Ghost!!!" Yang Wen screamed, his voice cracking.

At the same time, everything around us began to change.

A child with contorted limbs clung to the students, crying, "Don't my mom and dad want a daughter like me? You clearly said we were cute."

The girl changed into a red wedding dress, her pale skin speckled with corpse spots, her charred muscles twisted, and her cracked bones seemed to smile. "Am I not beautiful?"

Why don't you want us?

Why did you abandon us?

The fantastical scenery around them vanished, revealing their true appearance: blood stained the scorched earth crimson, blood flowed in the river, and a child with deathly pale skin bobbed in the blood.

"Aaaaaah!"

Screams erupted one after another.

Yang Wen screamed as he ran away. The girl floated in the air, her voice coming from all directions, "Those who lie will have their hearts eaten."

Their sharp hands suddenly reached out to grab Yang Wen.

Yang Wen screamed and fell to the ground in panic, "Help me! Help me!"

He saw Sheng Lao Er, "Mentor, save me!!"

As a teacher, Sheng Lao Er couldn't just stand by and watch this happen, so he stepped forward to try and help Yang Wen.

Yang Wen was overjoyed. He reached out and grabbed Sheng Lao Er, then threw him backward violently.

The two girls' hands went straight through Sheng Lao Er's heart and pulled it out.

Bright red, vibrant.

"Hehe, it's red, and it's hot."

“His must be black.”

The students were terrified; their screams almost pierced the sky, "Aaaaaah! Ah!! A ghost!!!"

"You've killed the wrong person." Xinghe frowned, looking displeased.

The two female ghosts' clothes had long since turned bright red. They were stunned for a moment, then grinned.

"So what? No man is any good."

"They deserved to die."

"All men deserve to die."

"Hehe, damn it~"

Xinghe said, "Even ghosts have to be reasonable. Since you're unreasonable, I'll learn a little bit of martial arts."

A jet-black broadsword appeared out of thin air in Xinghe's hand. He raised the broadsword high and then slammed it heavily to the ground.

The red-clad female ghost in front of him shattered into two pieces.

The next second, the red-clad female ghosts instantly reverted to their original forms, laughing as they circled the Milky Way, saying, "We are immortal, we are endless."

This was the first time that Xinghe's broadsword had caused no harm to the ghost.
