Not long after I returned to the bedroom, Liao Nanxing came in.
He first glanced at the sleeping child on the bed, then whispered, "Mumu, come out for a moment."
Su Mu put his index finger to his lips and gestured for Liao Nanxing to be quiet.
She waved her hand and pointed to the child.
In a voice barely above a mosquito's buzz, she said, "Someone can't leave the baby's side. We'll talk later if something comes up."
Liao Nanxing frowned slightly, then relaxed.
"Then I'll wait for you downstairs."
Su Mu nodded.
As soon as Liao Nanxing left, she fell asleep right next to the child.
As for Liao Nanxing waiting for him, well, let him wait.
First floor living room.
Xu Xiuzhen, so angry that she didn't even eat dinner, was writing a letter to Liao Nanxing to complain.
The notebook in his hand already had more than ten pages filled.
Each page represents the grievances I experienced while alone at home today.
Liao Nanxing kept nodding to comfort him.
"I know, don't worry. When she comes down, I'll definitely talk to her nicely."
Xu Xiuzhen blushed and quickly wrote: "Say it, say it, say something useful, would she still dare to do this? She did it on purpose today! Just because I objected to her hiring a nanny, she deliberately pulled this stunt."
Nanxing! I'm not trying to criticize you, but why didn't you learn from Zhou Chunhua's mistakes? Look at Zhou Chunhua, you've been talking about her for over twenty years, has it done any good?
"I understand. Are you hungry? Let Auntie make you something to eat. Fill your stomach first, so you don't get sick from hunger."
Xu Xiuzhen turned another page and wrote: What's there to eat? I'm so angry I'm full! Look at her attitude now, she's doing it on purpose!
Having no other choice, Liao Nanxing got up and asked the housekeeper to make him something to eat. With this excuse, he left Xu Xiuzhen behind and went to the dining room.
After finishing the noodles, it was already 8 p.m.
Su Mu did come out, but he came out of the bedroom and called for the aunt to come upstairs.
Urged on by Xu Xiuzhen, Liao Nanxing followed her upstairs to the second floor.
"Mumu, come here, I want to say a few words to you."
Holding the child, Su Mu said, "Wait a minute. The baby is hungry, so I need to feed him first. Then I need to give him a bath, and after the bath, it will be time for him to go to sleep. If you have something urgent, just wait for me a little longer."
Liao Nanxing frowned: "So what time are you going to finish this?"
"I don't know," Su Mu said. "There are a lot of things to do with babies. How about we talk about it tomorrow?"
Tomorrow? Liao Nanxing's face was gloomy.
"Then I'll wait for you outside."
"Okay." Su Mu took the baby bottle from the aunt and put it in the baby's mouth without even glancing at Liao Nanxing.
Xu Xiuzhen, who was originally waiting on the first floor, was overwhelmed by anger and disappointment when she saw that only Liao Nanxing came down.
She was so angry that she picked up her notebook and pen and was about to go upstairs.
Liao Nanxing quickly stopped the person.
"She's feeding the baby, and she'll be giving the baby a bath later."
Xu Xiuzhen broke free and rushed into Su Mu's room.
Even though she saw Su Mu undressing the child, she rushed in and handed the page she had written to Su Mu.
"Can't you see I'm busy? We can talk later." Su Mu pushed Xu Xiuzhen away.
Xu Xiuzhen was so angry that her hand was almost doubled when she wrote.
However, no matter how much she wrote, Su Mu didn't look at it once.
Even when bathing the child, Su Mu "accidentally" splashed water all over Xu Xiuzhen's head and face.
Xu Xiuzhen was so angry that she screamed and wanted to rush up and hit Su Mu, but she was worried that she might accidentally hurt her grandson.
I tried to yell at her, but all that came out of her mouth were "Ahhh".
However, Xu Xiuzhen did not intend to give up. She waited until Su Mu finished bathing the child, and while Su Mu was holding the child and coaxing him to sleep, she called Liao Nanxing and sent the nanny away.
The three of them were alone in one room, and Xu Xiuzhen was so angry that she gritted her teeth.
She raised the notebook in her hand and slapped it down loudly.
Su Mu looked at it and saw that the page read: You deliberately left me alone at home, didn't you?
Su Mu looked aggrieved.
"I didn't do it on purpose."
Xu Xiuzhen snorted and wrote: Then why did you take Auntie away when you knew I was home? You did it on purpose!
Su Mu pouted.
"There was no other way! It was my first time taking my baby out, and I couldn't carry all of his stuff by myself. I had to bring the nanny with me."
After all, you're not bedridden and unable to move. You have hands and feet; you can cook for yourself when you're hungry, and you can fall asleep as soon as you're tired. Unlike the baby, who I have to hold when he's sleepy, and play with when he's awake. When he's hungry, one of us has to hold him while the other makes formula. You've all seen it; sometimes even the nanny and I can't keep up.
Besides, whose fault is this? Isn't it because you guys disagreed with hiring a nanny? Right? Well then, Anan, why don't you just find a caregiver or a nurse for your mother?"
Xu Xiuzhen was so angry that her hands trembled, but she couldn't write a single word with the pen she was holding.
Finally, he turned his attention to the paper and wrote quickly: "Why did you max out your card just by going out today?"
"You can't say that! The card belongs to your son, but I'm using my own money! If you don't believe me, go ask your son. If you're angry about this, it's easy to fix. Once he and Zhou Chunhua's business is settled, he can just deduct the money I used from my card."
Knowing the truth, Xu Xiuzhen felt a deep, agonizing pain in her heart.
Liao Nanxing quickly helped the old lady back to take her medicine.
Watching the two figures leave, Su Mu coldly snorted disdainfully.
