Seeing the doorman enter the hotel lobby, Zhou Chunhua looked bewildered.
What's going on?
Normally, if something like this happens at the hotel entrance, the hotel's security personnel should immediately appear to stop it.
But what kind of bizarre thing is this today?
Looking back, the man who had been vomited on was completely enraged.
He pinned Liao Nanxing to the ground and beat him.
The frail Liao Nanxing was no match for that man.
Sure enough, Liao Nanxing, who was able to shout for help just a moment ago, can no longer make a sound now.
He covered his face with both hands and tried to kick the man.
But this had absolutely no effect on the man riding on top of him.
Seeing Liao Nanxing being beaten and screaming in pain, Zhou Chunhua did not try to stop it.
Because this is something she has wanted to do for a long time.
Whether Gu Yao will intervene is another matter.
After all, they are colleagues and students from the same school.
Moreover, Gu Yao studied law and is a very righteous person, so he will probably go up to help Liao Nanxing.
When she turned to look at Gu Yao, she saw him engrossed in rummaging through his briefcase, seemingly oblivious to the commotion.
But... Liao Nanxing was being beaten and screaming in pain, and she could hear it all clearly. Gu Yao couldn't possibly not have heard it!
Just as she was about to speak, she heard Gu Yao mutter to himself, "Huh? That's strange, where are the car keys? I can't find them."
While she was wondering what was going on, she heard Liao Nanxing call her name.
"Zhou Chunhua! Gu Yao! Call the police! Call the police now!"
This was the first time she had ever seen Liao Nanxing in such a disheveled state.
She was thoroughly enjoying herself and had absolutely no intention of helping Liao Nanxing.
"Who called me?"
Gu Yao looked toward Liao Nanxing from the sound and immediately shouted, "Stop!" before rushing over.
The man who was riding on Liao Nanxing's back even started cursing Gu Yao for meddling in other people's business.
He also told Gu Yao not to provoke him, or he would beat Gu Yao up too.
Liao Nanxing struggled to her feet, grabbed Gu Yao's leg, and kept shouting for help.
Gu Yao still intervened and pulled the man away.
Liao Nanxing, who had finally managed to get up, hid behind Gu Yao like a woman and shouted, "I'm calling the police! I'm going to sue you!"
As he spoke, he took out his phone from his pocket. It seemed he had called the police.
While Liao Nanxing was on the phone, the man turned and disappeared.
Liao Nanxing, realizing what was happening, only took two steps before stopping.
Liao Nanxing awkwardly touched the injury on his face.
The wound on the corner of his mouth made him gasp in pain.
"Are you alright? Should I take you to the hospital?" Gu Yao asked.
Liao Nanxing thanked him awkwardly and shook his head: "I called the police. I have to wait here for them to arrive."
Then he made some threats, saying he would find the man who hit him earlier, sue him, and make him go bankrupt and spend his life in jail.
Gu Yao didn't say anything more to Liao Nanxing. He went straight back, called her, and headed towards the parking lot.
"Why would you help someone like that?" Zhou Chunhua said, dissatisfied.
Gu Yao turned to look at her, a slight smile playing on his lips.
"After all, I ate with the teacher. If I don't help him, who knows what he'll say about me to the teacher later."
Zhou Chunhua didn't think much of it and got on the bus as usual.
As a result... the car wouldn't start for some reason.
"Wait for me in the car, I'll go down and check." Gu Yao got out of the car.
Just then, a police car pulled up in front of the hotel.
Zhou Chunhua got out of the car curiously and looked around.
Because they were quite far apart, she couldn't hear what they were saying.
A short while later, Liao Nanxing and Uncle Hat entered the hotel.
Less than two minutes later, Gu Yao's phone rang.
"They haven't left yet; they're in the parking lot."
Not long after I hung up the phone, Liao Nanxing and Uncle Hat arrived.
Uncle Hat asked Gu Yao about what had just happened.
Zhou Chunhua learned from the conversation that they had gone to check the surveillance footage, only to find that the camera at the hotel entrance was broken.
Other surveillance cameras don't capture the hotel entrance.
Gu Yao recounted what had just happened.
"So, it was Mr. Liao who bumped into that person, which caused the fight?"
"no……"
Just as Liao Nanxing was about to interject, Gu Yao spoke up in affirmation.
He then added, "Mr. Liao certainly said some very unpleasant things."
"Gu Yao! How can you still speak up for the perpetrator?" Liao Nanxing said angrily.
“You can’t say that! I always speak the truth. Providing a false testimony is illegal.” Gu Yao said righteously, “Especially since we are from the same school. You should be even more careful about your stance when you speak.”
Liao Nanxing was both angry and embarrassed.
Uncle Hat almost couldn't help but laugh as he asked, "Do you remember what that person looked like?"
Without even thinking, Gu Yao shook his head and said, "I have face blindness."
"Gu Yao, you...you did this on purpose, didn't you!" Liao Nanxing was so angry she almost jumped up. "You still remember Zhou Chunhua, right?"
"I..." Zhou Chunhua pouted, "I didn't see it clearly."
“Zhou Chunhua! You…”
Zhou Chunhua ignored Liao Nanxing and turned to Uncle Hat, saying, "It's late at night, and I haven't even gone over there. We're quite far apart, and he's over forty years old; his eyesight isn't very good to begin with."
After saying that, she rubbed her eyes.
Uncle Hat put away his pen and told Liao Nanxing to go back with them.
Liao Nanxing glanced at her phone and declined.
He said he had an urgent matter at home, and that he would go to see Uncle Hat himself when he had time tomorrow.
