"Gu Yao! What are you doing?" She stuffed her work ID directly into Gu Yao's pocket.
Gu Yao leaned against the wall.
"Aren't you looking for a job? I happen to have one right here."
"No! I know my own limitations. I know you mean well and want to help me, but it's really unnecessary."
Gu Yao took the work ID from his pocket and, without saying a word, hung it around her neck.
"Anyway, the contract has already been signed. If you want to resign, you need to submit an application a month in advance. If you refuse to work, you will receive financial compensation."
After saying that, Gu Yao pulled her along and continued walking forward.
Feeling the gaze cast upon her from downstairs, Zhou Chunhua was so frightened that she quickly pulled her hand back.
"Gu Yao! I really can't do this job!"
"This is the archives."
"Did you hear me?"
"This is the staff break room."
"Gu Yao!"
"This is the meeting room, and next to it is the tea room. We have coffee, tea, and snacks. Just come and help yourself to whatever you need. The snacks are delivered fresh every day, so you can eat with peace of mind."
"Gu Yao!"
"This is your office, and the one inside is mine. Your job is very simple; just do what I tell you to do."
After saying that, Gu Yao pressed her down into a chair and turned around to put a bunch of packages in front of her.
"Tear all of these apart, keep the useful ones, and throw away the useless ones."
Zhou Chunhua slapped her forehead: "How would I know which ones are useful and which ones are useless?"
Gu Yao seemed not to hear a word, put his hands in his pockets, and went into the office, closing the door behind him.
"This is utterly outrageous!"
She sighed and got up, intending to leave, when the office door opened.
Gu Yao leaned against the door, looking serious.
"If you leave, I'll send you a lawyer's letter tomorrow."
Zhou Chunhua had no choice but to sit back down.
Gu Yao smiled and said, "Hua Hua, do you know what your greatest strength is?"
Zhou Chunhua looked up helplessly.
"I'll take your advice." Gu Yao turned around and said, "Pour me a cup of tea when you have a moment. Thank you."
With a bang, the door slammed shut again.
Zhou Chunhua looked around awkwardly, then glanced at the corridor outside.
She felt that it took a lot of courage to walk out of that door.
Just as she was about to get up and knock on Gu Yao's door, a young woman who looked to be about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old walked in.
"Sister Zhou, this is the client that Teacher Gu is meeting today."
Zhou Chunhua stared blankly at the folder in front of her, then glanced at the name tag on the girl's chest.
Zou Linlin.
Just as she was about to explain to the little girl, the little girl suddenly let out a disdainful sneer.
Zhou Chunhua frowned.
"She looks like an old lady who doesn't know anything. I don't know how she got into this office." The disdainful look in Zou Linlin's eyes made Zhou Chunhua very unhappy.
She didn't indulge him either.
"Although I don't understand these work-related matters, I at least know that one should know how to respect others."
Zou Linlin's face visibly turned red.
"What's with the arrogance? It's just because you've gotten in touch with Teacher Gu."
Zhou Chunhua laughed: "That's right! I can reach that level, but can you?"
"you……"
"Tsk tsk tsk, it seems you're just jealous because you can't reach him, right? Actually, it's not your fault, it's just that your parents didn't teach you how to be a decent person, otherwise, you could have reached him too."
"you……"
"Zou Linlin! What are you doing here during work hours?"
A familiar, serious voice came from the doorway.
It's the person who just processed her onboarding.
Zou Linlin shivered.
"Minister Wen, I just delivered something to Assistant Zhou."
Zou Linlin's voice suddenly became high-pitched.
Zhou Chunhua wiped the hairs standing on end on her arm.
After Zou Linlin left, the man glanced at her and then left as well.
Zhou Chunhua let out a long sigh, glanced at the things on the table, and then at the door to Gu Yao's office.
I got up and went to the tea room.
Gu Yao kindly helped her, and she couldn't let Gu Yao lose face if she wanted to leave.
After brewing tea and delivering it to Gu Yao, she began looking at the client list that Zou Linlin had sent over.
The name and phone number are filled in, but the meeting time is left blank.
So she started making phone calls, arranging times with the other party, and filling out the forms.
Then they went to the archives and, according to the file numbers on the form, moved all the files into Gu Yao's office.
Gu Yao glanced at her and said, "I knew this job was perfect for you."
"Thank you!" Zhou Chunhua said awkwardly, "Gu Yao, I didn't leave because I didn't want to embarrass you. But your job is just too prestigious, it's really not suitable for me. I'll only work for one day, I won't come tomorrow."
Before Gu Yao could speak, she left the office.
Next comes unpacking the packages.
She was initially worried that she wouldn't be able to distinguish which items were important and which were not.
Once opened, anyone could tell the difference.
Zhou Chunhua never expected that she would spend the entire morning doing all sorts of miscellaneous tasks.
At lunchtime, Gu Yao ordered takeout.
When it was time to leave work in the afternoon, Gu Yao took her home again.
"See you tomorrow," Gu Yao said.
Zhou Chunhua was furious: "What do you mean, 'see'? I already told you I'm not going tomorrow."
Gu Yao ignored her and drove away.
When Zhou Chunhua returned home, she experienced back pain, leg cramps, and general discomfort.
I got into a fight yesterday and didn't sleep last night. Today I've been running up and down the stairs all day. No wonder I'm exhausted.
