Chapter 9: Gang of Thieves

Chen Suihuan was about to retract his gaze and lie down to continue pretending to sleep, when he suddenly saw a man standing at the entrance of the carriage, staring at the middle-aged woman with a pair of shifty eyes.

Judging from the look of it, he probably has no money on middle-aged women.

Chen Suihuan frowned, and soon figured it out. This middle-aged woman and this young man must be going to see a doctor, and if he is going to see a doctor, he must have money on him.

It seems that the man in black has set his sights on them.

He even wants to steal the life-saving money, how shameless, Chen Suihuan thought, and did not lie down and pretend to sleep, but stared at the man intentionally or unintentionally to see when he was going to make a move.

The boy's illness is so serious that he might be counting on this money for medical treatment. She must definitely help him keep it.

Chen Suihuan's strength has improved over the past two days. With her strength alone, she can definitely knock the thief away with one punch.

After stopping at two more stations, there were even more people in the carriage. Many people who didn't have seats were complaining in groups of two or three. The carriage was so noisy that it made people feel their heads buzzing.

The man still didn't move, his eyes occasionally looking at the bag in the middle-aged woman's arms. Chen Suihuan didn't want to keep staring at him, so he just pretended not to care and looked over there from time to time.

Suddenly, Chen Suihuan saw that man turned his head, and then made a few gestures to the man smoking at the aisle not far away.

It turned out to be a gang crime. Chen Suihuan frowned.

Unsure of how many people she was talking to, Chen Suihuan didn't dare to reveal any flaws. She continued chatting with the educated youth around her, but focused all her attention on the two men.

Soon, it got dark, and in addition to various strange smells, the aroma of food began to waft through the train compartment.

They also started taking out their lunch boxes and eating. Qin Fei and Gao Yue both ate the braised pork packed in the state-owned restaurant.

What Chen Suihuan took out were the dumplings he had made earlier, which he had specially let cool down and put in the space. It was just right to take them out and eat them now.

The three boys opposite, Xu Tao and Chen Suihuan, both ate meat dumplings, while Li Changxu and Ren Caiying also ate dumplings, but with vegetarian fillings.

As the saying goes, "When you go out you get dumplings, when you come home you get noodles." It seems that the families of these three boys treat them quite well.

After the six of them finished their meal, they looked at each other's seats and took turns going to the bathroom.

Chen Suihuan also went there once. After she came out of the toilet, she pretended to be uncomfortable after sitting for a long time, so she stood up to relax and stood in the aisle for a long time.

During this period of time, Chen Suihuan was basically able to conclude that the man in black had only one accomplice, the smoking man.

Knowing the number of opponents, Chen Suihuan felt relieved. She was confident that she could handle two men.

Soon, the carriage became quieter and quieter, and many people fell asleep.

The six people sitting in their seats discussed taking turns sleeping, leaving two people to keep watch.

Chen Suihuan said, "I slept for a while during the day, so I'm not sleepy now. I'll be the one keeping watch for the first half of the night."

Xu Tao said: "I'll go with you."

Chen Suihuan did not refuse, and the two of them began to keep watch. At first, they were talking to each other, but later the carriage became quieter and quieter.

The two stopped talking and fell silent.

Chen Suihuan no longer wanted to deal with Xu Tao, and focused all his attention on the man in black and the smoking man in the darkness over there.

These two pickpockets must be veterans and have a lot of patience. They waited until after 12 o'clock, when everyone in the carriage was drowsy, before they started to take action.

Before falling asleep, Chen Suihuan moved his body to the farthest position in order to make it easier to attack.

Chen Suihuan leaned against the back of the chair, squinted his eyes, and pretended to be drowsy, but in fact all his attention was on the man in black who was approaching.

There were originally quite a few people standing in the aisle, but at this time, they were all sitting in the aisle, leaning against the seats and snoring.

The man came to the side of the middle-aged woman and the young man with great difficulty, squeezed out a position, and began to work quietly.

The smoking man did not give the black-clad man a heads-up, but squeezed next to another seat and stretched out his hand to a well-dressed female educated youth.

Chen Suihuan couldn't wait any longer, so she stood up quietly and tried to approach the man in black who was taking out money with his back to her.

After taking just two steps, Chen Suihuan's hand was suddenly grabbed by someone. Chen Suihuan was startled and turned his head to see a dark-skinned but handsome man.

The man was about twenty-four or twenty-five years old, wearing a white shirt and black pants.

He sat in the seat with his back straight, one hand tightly holding Chen Suihuan's.

Chen Suihuan initially thought that the two were accomplices, but when he saw this person, he suddenly felt relieved.

Although this man looked a bit fierce, he had a very masculine appearance, with sharp edges and corners, and a heroic look between his eyebrows, especially his eyes, which were deep and sharp.

With this appearance, he is definitely not a thief, but rather a soldier.

Chen Suihuan's stiff body immediately relaxed, and as he gained strength, he slowly squatted down beside the person.

"Are you a soldier?" Chen Suihuan lowered his voice and asked the man.

The man nodded, looked at the two thieves in front of him, and said, "Yes, go back and sit down, leave this matter to me."

With the presence of the soldiers, Chen Suihuan felt much more relieved. It would be best to leave the matter of catching thieves to professionals.

Chen Suihuan nodded obediently, then quietly sat back in his seat.

As soon as Chen Suihuan sat down, he saw a black shadow flying out in front of him. It was the man from before. He moved very quickly and cleanly, grabbing the black-clothed man's shoulder in one go.

There was a flash of coldness in the man's eyes, and then he exerted force and directly removed the black-clothed man's arm.

"Ah!" The man in black let out a shrill scream, but the other man ignored him and continued to rush towards the smoking man a few steps away.

The smoking man was short, but his reaction speed was very fast. When he heard the voice of the man in black, he immediately withdrew his hand and ran away.

But now the aisle was full of people lying down. After running a few steps, he stepped on several people. Many of them were hurt by him and sat up cursing.

The man frowned when he saw these people sitting up, and then he supported himself on the back of the chair with both hands and jumped directly over the heads of these people.

The smoker hadn't even taken a few steps before he was kicked to the ground by the other man.

The man in black held his arm with tears in his eyes. Seeing that everyone in the car was woken up by him, he made up his mind and staggered forward.
