Chapter 62: Eyes Gliding

Chapter 62: Eyes Gliding

Song Yanzhou had been instructing Ye Mu for a long time, and now Old Xu in the kitchen was getting impatient listening to him. Was this still the Song Yanzhou who always had a cold face in front of him and didn't say a word for a long time?

He almost thought he had mistaken the person. As expected, there is always someone better. Song Yanzhou usually doesn't talk much, but in front of his wife, doesn't he talk a lot?

However, this girl has talked more in the past few days. Although not a lot, she looks particularly well-behaved in front of Song Yanzhou.

Old Xu smiled more. He didn't expect that he could also make mistakes. The last time he came, he was not optimistic about Song Yanzhou marrying this daughter-in-law. But now, when the two of them were getting along, outsiders couldn't interfere.

The two young couple looked at each other, and the atmosphere was all between the two of them, as if they had their own little world. He was too embarrassed to speak out and disturb their communication.

Old Xu sighed in his heart and was happy for Song Yanzhou and Ye Mu. No matter who they were paired with, it would not be certain that they could have such a good relationship.

It’s great to be young, there’s plenty of time.

Usually, Mr. Xu still thinks he is in good health, but when he looks at these two people, he suddenly feels old.

The mentality is old.

This is not a bad thing. It's just that Song Yanzhou and Ye Mu made me miss the old woman in the old city. I don't know how the treatment she is doing is going.

"Are you done yet? If you're done, go buy some groceries. You're not a child anymore. You're nagging like an old woman."

After listening to Song Yanzhou's instructions, Mr. Xu couldn't help but interrupt him and teased them: "Why don't you go buy some groceries? If you two continue to cling to each other for a while, are you going to have lunch today?"

Sticky?

Song Yanzhou couldn't help but explain: "Mr. Xu, Ye Mu has rarely been out of the house."

Mr. Xu didn't want to discuss with him, and urged Ye Mu to act quickly: "Go buy some vegetables quickly. The vegetable store and the grocery store are both on the left. You will see them in a minute or two."

Ye Mu nodded, took the money given by Song Yanzhou and went out.

The sun was blazing high in the sky. Just now at Mr. Xu's house, the doors and windows were open. Although it was a little hot, it was not too bad.

As soon as he came out, his whole body was exposed to the sun. The scorching sun came from all directions, "taking care" of him from head to toe. Under such scorching sun, Ye Mu started sweating after just walking for a few dozen seconds.

When she raised her hand to wipe the sweat, she touched her hair and it was actually a little hot.

Fortunately, she was wearing a skirt, but the color was a bit dark.

There were still people wearing long sleeves on the street, and Ye Mu had only one feeling when he saw them: hot.

Sweat kept pouring down the man's face, and his face turned red with heat. Seeing this, Ye Mu couldn't help but feel hot for that man.

She walked quickly to the vegetable store, not bothering to look any further, and bought vegetables as Song Yanzhou had instructed. She then went to the grocery store to buy soy sauce, returned with it and ran.

On this stretch of road, there is a small alley leading somewhere else, formed between two houses.

Ye Mu just took a casual glance and saw a familiar figure.

It was the little girl who had sold her flowers before. She had become much thinner. If it were someone else, one would probably not recognize that they were the same person.

But Ye Mu didn't recognize people by appearance, so he recognized him easily.

The little girl seemed to recognize Ye Mu as well. She looked at her and took two steps in Ye Mu's direction. But just as she was about to leave the shadow of the alley and walk into the sunlight, she retreated again and took her foot back.

The foot was dirty and bony, from being unwashed and shoeless.

Seeing this scene, Ye Mu subconsciously stopped running, and she even took two steps towards the little girl.

The little girl seemed to be frightened by her action. She turned around and ran away in the shadow of the alley. Ye Mu stood on the side of the road and watched her too thin figure disappear into the distance. The sunlight pulled her shadow to the ground, spreading out on the ground like ink.

She carried the vegetables and soy sauce back to Xu's home and delivered them to the kitchen.

Seeing that she was sweating profusely, Song Yanzhou quickly took it and said:

"There is a fan on the table in the main room. Go and fan yourself with it for a while. After you cook the food, you can eat."

"Yeah." Ye Mu nodded.

Ye Mu couldn't help swallowing her saliva at the aroma of the stewed pork elbow coming from the kitchen. Song Yanzhou glanced at her and smiled: "Are you hungry?"

She found that since she talked to him more, Song Yanzhou seemed to smile more often.

Although his smile was often not obvious, as long as he showed a smile, the whole person looked gentle, and all the coldness was swept away.

Ye Mu nodded: "I'm hungry."

Mr. Xu was washing vegetables. When he heard Ye Mu say he was hungry, he said, "Give your wife some soup and meat from the elbow. Let her eat it to fill her stomach first."

Song Yanzhou thought the same thing, and immediately took out a bowl. Knowing that she didn't like fatty meat, he specially picked out lean meat, then added some soup, and brought it out to the table.

Ye Mu followed behind him. After Song Yanzhou put the chopsticks away, he handed them to her and said, "Be careful, it's hot."

Ye Mu nodded, took the chopsticks, and watched Song Yanzhou turn around and leave. He suddenly felt a little embarrassed. Was he going to eat alone in advance?

She subconsciously grabbed Song Yanzhou's sleeve, and Song Yanzhou turned around and looked at her: "What's wrong?"

Ye Mu looked at Mr. Xu who was busy in the kitchen and asked him quietly: "Do you want to eat? ... And Mr. Xu. Eat some?"

Song Yanzhou laughed: "No, you eat it yourself."

Ye Mu: ...

She was facing Song Yanzhou and Mr. Xu, and she felt embarrassed to ask for special treatment. After all, she couldn't cook and had to eat alone in advance, so she really couldn't bear it.

She held onto Song Yanzhou's sleeves and refused to let go. Song Yanzhou had no choice but to say under her gaze, "Okay, I'll eat a little."

Perhaps guessing that she was embarrassed, Song Yanzhou was about to turn around to get another pair of chopsticks, but Ye Mu had already picked up the lean meat in the bowl with chopsticks and was about to pass it to her. When he had passed it halfway into the air, he realized, was she going to feed him like this?

She was stunned.

Song Yanzhou was also stunned, and they both looked at the chopsticks holding the pork elbow.

Ye Mu thought quickly for a moment and continued his actions.

Both ends of the chopsticks can be used, so it’s okay. Song Yanzhou eats one end and she eats the other.

Looking at the elbow meat that was already in front of his mouth, Song Yanzhou subconsciously raised his hand, but didn't know how to take it, and then he glanced at Ye Mu.

If he eats like this, will she dislike that he is using her chopsticks, which seems inappropriate?

Ye Mu whispered, "Eat quickly."

Then he looked in the direction of the kitchen. If Song Yanzhou didn't eat, Mr. Xu would urge him to go back to the kitchen to help.

Song Yanzhou lowered his head, trying his best not to touch her chopsticks, and bit off the meat. At that moment, he glanced at Ye Mu as if unintentionally, yet intentionally.

The moment my eyes met hers, I felt something strange.

I vaguely felt that there seemed to be some indescribable awkward atmosphere between the two of them.

Her frank and calm gaze made Song Yanzhou calm down as well. Perhaps the feeling just now was just his illusion.

But after she fed him a mouthful, he couldn't help but smile, pursing his lips. He no longer had any coldness in him, and lowered his eyes to hide his sight. He was even like a young boy in his youth, with a hint of shyness.

It was his turn to thank him politely:

"Thanks."
