Chapter 127 Heading to Jing City (1/2)

"Doctor Shen, sorry to bother you. We are from the ## unit in Beijing. Our captain was seriously injured while on duty, and the doctors are helpless. Officer Guan asked us to pick you up. Please be sure to go to Beijing with us as soon as possible."

Shen Liwu's brows slightly frowned, her gaze lingered on the two soldiers' faces for a moment, noticing the anxiety and earnestness in their eyes.

A glance at the military emblems on their shoulders showed that they held high positions.

"What's the situation with your captain?" she asked, her voice steady but with a hint of solemnity.

"He has multiple gunshot wounds, the most serious of which are in the legs and abdomen. He has lost too much blood and has been in a coma for more than twelve hours now." One of the soldiers answered, his tone heavy, as if every word weighed on his heart.

Shen Liwu was silent for a few seconds, weighing the pros and cons quickly in his mind. She looked down at her belly. Although there was no obvious bulge yet, she was aware of her physical condition.

Traveling long distances was not an easy task for her. However, her duty as a doctor and her respect for life made it impossible for her to refuse easily.

"I can, but I need to sort things out here," she said finally, her tone firm.

The two soldiers looked at each other, and one of them nodded, "Okay, we will fully cooperate with your arrangements."

Shen Liwu turned and walked out of the reception room, returned to the infirmary, and found Doctor An who was busy.

"I need to go to Beijing. I have an urgent patient to treat." She explained briefly, and took out a first aid pill she made from the medicine box. "I'll leave this pill for Ah Mao. If there is any emergency, give it to him. As long as he doesn't have a fever, he'll be fine."

"Okay." Doctor An took the medicine bottle and nodded seriously, "Don't worry, I will take good care of Ah Mao."

Shen Liwu gave a few more instructions and then returned to the reception room. When the two soldiers saw her come in, they immediately stood up.

"Doctor Shen, we came here by helicopter, you don't get airsick, do you?"

"I'm not airsick." Shen Liwu replied softly, his eyes still calm, but there was a hint of fatigue between his brows.

The two soldiers looked at each other after hearing this. One of them took out his communication gun and made a brief report. Then he turned to Shen Liwu and said, "The helicopter will arrive at the training ground within ten minutes. Please follow us."

Shen Liwu nodded, took the medical kit and went to the training ground, but the helicopter had not arrived yet.

"sister in law."

Jingnan came over with a lunch box in his hand. "Brother Jing asked me to take good care of you. You came to the infirmary before mealtime, so you must have not eaten. You are still pregnant, don't let the baby starve."

Shen Liwu was indeed very hungry, but she didn't say it. She didn't expect Chen Jingnan to think about it so carefully.

"Thank you, I am indeed hungry."

Jingnan: You’re welcome. Brother Jing did it for you.

It's just that he was lazy a few times and hoped his sister-in-law wouldn't let it slip.

Beijing!

The driver came to pick her up in person. When Shen Liwu got off the plane, the cold wind blew in her face, her hair was messy, and the corners of her clothes fluttered in the wind.

The driver strode towards me, the wrinkles on his face seemed even deeper in the night, but his eyes were as sharp as a hawk.
