Chapter 15 Wild Boar (2/2)

Shen Liwu's fingers gently stroked the cloth wrapped with ginseng in the backpack, feeling both the joy of harvest and the lingering fear of fighting with the wild boar just now. Her shoes were already covered in thick mud, and every step she took felt heavy.

I was unwilling to abandon the wild boar like this. All I could think about were: braised pork, pork rib soup, cold-mixed pig ears, braised pig's trotters...

The wild boar wasn't big, only about 70 or 80 kilograms, so she could still carry it on her back.

I grabbed a handful of leaves and covered the herbs to prevent the pig's blood from dripping onto them.

Shen Liwu stood up, brushed off the dirt on his body, and took a deep breath. She bent down and grabbed the wild boar's hind legs, gritted her teeth, and used all her strength to lift it onto her shoulders. The weight of the wild boar almost made her stagger, but she quickly steadied herself, held the wild boar's body tightly with both hands, and walked down the mountain with heavy steps.

After walking for a while, she felt unbearable pain in her shoulders, as if her bones were creaking under the pressure. He raised his hand and wiped the sweat from his forehead. My eyes inadvertently swept across the woods in front of me, and I vaguely saw a familiar figure.

"Sister-in-law!" She shouted loudly, and her voice echoed in the valley.

Zhang Damei raised her head when she heard the sound. Seeing Shen Liwu carrying a wild boar on his shoulder, her eyes widened and she ran over quickly, "Oh my God! How did you... did you run into a wild boar?"

Shen Liwu nodded, forcing a smile from the corner of his mouth, “Well, bad luck.”

Zhang Damei looked her up and down, and was relieved to see that although she looked disheveled, she was not seriously injured. "You are so scary! I thought something happened to you, and was just about to call for help."

"It's okay, it's just a little heavy." Shen Liwu took a breath and put the wild boar on his shoulders again, "Let's go, let's go down the mountain quickly."

Zhang Damei quickly stepped forward to help hold up the other side of the wild boar and took on some of the weight.

Zhang Damei couldn't help but mutter as she walked, "You are so brave, you dare to fight a wild boar alone! If it were me, I would have been scared to death." As she spoke, she did not forget to lift the wild boar up with her hands, "This thing is so heavy, it's a pity you can carry it this far. Let me carry it, and we can each carry a distance."

Shen Liwu smiled, his voice a little hoarse, "There's nothing we can do. We can't just leave it there, right? Besides, this is a rare game delicacy. Let's stew it in a pot and let everyone have a taste."

Zhang Damei's eyes suddenly lit up, "That's right! We're in for a treat!" She licked her lips, as if she could already smell the aroma wafting from the pot.

The two of them took turns carrying the load, and by the time they arrived at the army, they were nearly exhausted to death.

A few guys from the kitchen squad saw it from afar and ran over quickly.

"Oh my god, this is terrible! How did you two women kill a wild boar?" The leader, Master Li, came over, rubbing his hands. "Such a big wild boar is enough to improve the food for our whole team!"

Zhang Damei grinned, revealing her full teeth. "That's right, this thing is so heavy that it's killing me." She rubbed her sore shoulders and said, "If it weren't for Sister Li Wu's skill, this would be a disaster."

Shen Liwu shook her head gently, "I'm just lucky." She looked down at her dirty clothes and muddy shoes, and said embarrassedly, "I'll wash them first, the smell is really bad."

"Go ahead, go ahead," Master Li waved his hand, "Leave this wild boar to us. I promise to leave the best parts for you."

Shen Liwu nodded, picked up the basket filled with herbs and walked home.
