Chapter 58: Discharge (2/2)

The chief's eyes widened. He couldn't believe what he heard.

"Say it again!"

Zhou Yanjing didn't say anything else and just waited for the leader's decision.

"Who said I allowed you to resign and approved your discharge from the army?" The chief slammed the application form on the table, his face turning extremely pale.

Zhou Yanjing smiled and said, "Thank you, Chief."

"Go away, you little brat, you're bored if you don't make me angry for a day, right?"

Zhou Yanjing continued to push forward, "Commander, I want to recommend someone to you. Ji Jingnan is the most capable person under my command. I will rest assured if he can protect my wife."

Commander Jiang was so angry that he blew his beard and glared, "You kid has got into the eyes of your wife, calling her wife left and right. You marry a wife and treat her like an ancestor."

"I can't help it. It wasn't easy to marry her. I'm happy to keep her as my supporter."

Zhou Yanjing smiled with a sly look on his face, "Commander, I'll be out first. Come to my house for dinner when you have time. I'll cook for you myself."

"roll!"

"yes!"

Zhou Yanjing gave a standard military salute and walked out of the office.

Commander Jiang took a look at the retirement letter on the table and became even more upset.

"䲾 Jingnan. Sister-in-law, it will be my turn to protect you from now on." 䲾 Jingnan smiled slightly, revealing a row of neat teeth, with a look of respect and seriousness.

Shen Liwu nodded, but she was a little confused. "Arranged by Zhou Yanjing?"

"Yes, sister-in-law. Brother Jing specifically asked me to protect your safety at all times and not let anyone get close to you."

Shen Liwu said nothing more, nodded, and got in the car to go to the hospital.

When she arrived at the hospital, people around her pointed fingers at her and some even said some indecent things:

"That's her. I heard that she killed her stepsister and poisoned her to death."

"Is this true? How can she be so vicious? How can she be so dark-hearted when she looks like a pretty girl?"

"She's a doctor, but I don't dare ask her to treat me. What if she poisons me?"

"We'd better stay away from her. It would be terrible if she spots us."

Shen Liwu paused for a moment, her fingers clenched slightly, her nails almost digging into her palms. She could feel those gazes like needles piercing her back, sharp and painful.
