After class in the evening.
Gao Ye smiled and asked Jiang Yue and Yao Hua, "Where do you live?"
I drove here, but it's raining and walking is inconvenient. Shall I take you home?
Jiang Yue politely declined, "Thank you, but my husband should be waiting for us outside, so we won't trouble you."
"husband?"

If that's the case, that's fine too.
However, Yao Hua was worried that Su Chen didn't really think that way.

Jiang Yue gave a cold laugh and left the teaching building with Yao Hua.
Song Gang's car was parked not far away. When Jiang Yue came out, she saw Lu Jingnian waiting outside the teaching building with an umbrella. He immediately walked over when he saw her come out.
Jiang Yue handed the umbrella to Yao Hua and quickly ran towards Lu Jingnian.
The rain isn't heavy right now, just a light drizzle, so the path won't get Jiang Yue wet.
Jiang Yue rushed over and was immediately embraced by Lu Jingnian. Afraid that Jiang Yue would worry about him, Lu Jingnian smiled and said, "I listened to you and went home. I just got back."
Jiang Yue took his hand.
Normally, Lu Jingnian's hands are always warm, but tonight they are very cold. This doesn't mean he's gone home; it means he's been waiting for her outside for a long time.

When the car arrived at the Jiang family's door, Jiang Yue originally wanted to invite Song Gang to her home for tea and a bite to eat before going back.
Song Gang shook his head. "Sister-in-law, you don't need to be so polite with me. I've already eaten, so I won't go in."
I'll come again tomorrow.
Lu Jingnian smiled and took Jiang Yue's schoolbag. "Yueyue, you and Yao Hua go in first. I'll say a few words to Song Gang."
"Then I'll go in first."
Jiang Yue nodded and led Yao Hua inside first.
As soon as they went inside, Su Chen's car pulled up.
Zhao Lanxi's house is behind the Jiang family's house; to get there, you have to pass by the Jiang family's door.
Su Chen drove over, stopped briefly in front of the Jiang family's house, then rolled down the window, gave Lu Jingnian a silent, provocative smile, and drove away.
"Boss, this kid deserves a beating..."
Song Gang was so angry he wanted to hit someone. This kid must be tired of living, daring to provoke his older brother.

Lu Jingnian gave a cold laugh, then said to Song Gang, "Don't forget what I told you. You must find this person within two days."

After watching Song Gang drive away, Lu Jingnian turned around and went home with his umbrella.
When Lu Jingnian entered the living room, only Jiang's father was still there; everyone else had gone to rest.
Upon seeing Lu Jingnian return, Jiang's father immediately summoned him to the study.
"Lock the door."
Jiang's father sat at his desk, looking at Lu Jingnian with a serious expression.
Lu Jingnian obediently turned around and locked the door.
After Lu Jingnian locked the door, Jiang's father asked, "I saw Song Gang drive you back just now. What happened?"
How did you come to contact him?
Song Gang's identity is quite extraordinary, but not many people know it. Unless it's something urgent, Lu Jingnian wouldn't contact him.
"I'm being watched."
Lu Jingnian spoke calmly, as if he were the one being targeted, not him.

Jiang's father was so shocked that he stood up abruptly.

Lu Jingnian said, "It should be Gray Wolf. During the last mission, I killed one of his companions. Later, I found out that the woman was not only his companion, but also his fiancée."
He must have found out my identity and wants to get revenge on me.

Jiang's father almost slammed his fist on the table at Lu Jingnian, "I've already told my superiors about this, but since you haven't come back these past two days, I haven't reported it to you."

Jiang's father glared angrily, but was more worried than anything else.
