Chapter 227 Suddenly the pain stopped?

"Oh well."

Jiang Yue smiled and nodded, "You go to the hospital first to deliver breakfast to Political Commissar Yu, and I'll go see my master too. After we get back, we'll take them shopping."

Don't go shopping too early, because many shops won't be open when you arrive.

Upon hearing that Jiang Yue was going to visit her master, Yao Hua pointed to the breakfast she had made and asked her, "Yueyue, would you like to bring some breakfast to your master?"

I did a lot.

She made breakfast for the whole family, and there was even leftovers.

"good."

Jiang Yue thought so too. As soon as she came in, she saw that Yao Hua had made a lot of breakfast, and guessed that she had cooked for the whole family.

Jiang Yue took the thermos, filled it with breakfast, and left home a little after six.

Because of shoulder pain, Jiang Yue didn't dare to ride her bicycle when she left, as it would take her about half an hour to walk to her master's courtyard.

When Jiang Yue arrived at the courtyard, the door opened automatically before she could even knock.

"Why are you here so early?"

Old Chen's voice rang out in the courtyard. Jiang Yue carried the thermos and went in. She saw him wearing the clothes she had bought for him yesterday, making some strange gestures.

"I'm going shopping with my mom and an aunt today, so I came early to see Master."

"Master, I brought you breakfast. Would you like to eat it first?"

Jiang Yue walked over with a smile, holding up the thermos in her hand for the old man to see.

"They're all delicious!"

"Don't rush to eat breakfast."

Old Chen looked at Jiang Yue, pointed to her shoulder, and asked, "Does it feel good to share someone else's pain?"

"Master, you could tell that?"

Jiang Yue looked at Old Man Chen in surprise, full of admiration, "Master, I even put on makeup when I came, how did you know?"

"What do you think your master does?"

If I can't even see that, I might as well quit this job.

Old Chen's lips twitched as he looked at Jiang Yue's adoring expression.

"Stop flattering me. I'm asking you, you're in so much pain right now, and you have to endure it so no one can know. Do you regret it?"

"What's there to regret?"

Jiang Yue placed the thermos on the stone table next to her and said to Old Man Chen with a smile, "Actually, I'm quite glad. You see, I only shared half of his pain, and I was in so much pain that I couldn't sleep."

"If I hadn't shared his burden, how much pain he would have been in."

"Stop laughing, your laugh looks worse than your cry."

Old Chen sighed, "You've done so much for him, but you don't let him know. If you told him, I think that kid cares about you so much. Knowing what you've done for him, he'll definitely protect himself in the future and won't let himself get hurt again."

"He will find out, but it absolutely cannot be now. At least not until his death tribulation is resolved."

Jiang Yue put away her smile and answered seriously.

She never intended to keep it a secret from Lu Jingnian forever.

Touching her shoulder, Jiang Yue suddenly changed the subject, "Let's not talk about this anymore, Master, you should eat breakfast first, or it will get cold."

I'll head back now. If I get back early tonight, I'll come see you again; if I get back late, I'll come tomorrow.

"Don't rush off."

Old Chen told Jiang Yue to sit and wait, then turned and went inside to get a jade thumb ring and a piece of paper.

The note had two sentences written on it, which looked quite mysterious.

"Call me Master, and I won't say I don't care about you. Wear this thumb ring on your hand today, and remember these two incantations, keep reciting them in your heart."

This can alleviate the pain in your shoulder, but how much it will alleviate depends on your own skill level.

After Old Man Chen finished speaking, he placed the thumb ring and the note in front of Jiang Yue.

Jiang Yue picked up the thumb ring and examined it closely. The thumb ring was made of translucent jade, and it was clearly made of high-quality jade. Moreover, it was engraved with intricate patterns. Looking at those patterns, Jiang Yue felt that they were somewhat similar to the formation she had seen at the old Taoist's house.

"Thank you, Master."

Jiang Yue didn't stand on ceremony with Old Man Chen and quickly put the ring on her hand. Then, she looked at the two lines of incantation on the slip of paper and began to recite them silently in her mind.

Whether it was psychological or not, Jiang Yue seemed to feel the pain in her shoulder lessen after silently repeating it twice in her mind.

"Master, this is amazing."

Jiang Yue looked at the ring on her hand in surprise, "I just recited this incantation twice in my mind, and my shoulder really does feel less painful."

"Twice?"

Upon hearing this, Old Man Chen looked at Jiang Yue and smiled with satisfaction.

Not bad, not bad. This girl is even more talented than he thought.

"Since it's useful, let's hurry up and leave, so as not to delay our training."

Old Chen waved his hand, picked up the thermos, and prepared to go back inside.

Jiang Yue stood up and quickly chased after him. "Master, I have another question. When I recite the incantation and feel my pain lessen, will he also feel his pain lessen at the same time?"

Old Chen turned and looked at Jiang Yue helplessly. "Yes, are you satisfied?"

Jiang Yue was naturally satisfied. "Thank you, Master."

"Get out of here."

Old Chen waved his hand dismissively. This girl seemed quite shrewd; he never expected her to go to such lengths for a man.

Hopefully, that guy won't let her down.

As Jiang Yue left the courtyard, she kept reciting the incantation that Old Man Chen had given her.

Even after returning to the Jiang family, Jiang Yue was still reciting it. She had lost count of how many times she had recited it in her heart. She felt that with each recitation, the two lines of the mantra seemed to contain even more profound mystery.

When Jiang Yue returned to the Jiang family home, she was surprised to find that her shoulder no longer hurt. It wasn't that it didn't hurt at all, but the slight pain was now negligible.
