Jiang Yue didn't encounter anyone when she went upstairs. She originally wanted to climb the stairs by herself, but Lu Jingnian disagreed.
Once they arrived home, Lu Jingnian finally put the person down.
"Go take a shower first, I'll cook," Lu Jingnian said, worried that Jiang Yue might get sick from exhaustion.
"I'm not being that fussy. I'll go cook. You go and call my older brother and Political Commissar Yu over for dinner." After saying that, Jiang Yue went to the bathroom to wash her hands.
Yesterday, when Jiang Zheng and Political Commissar Yu were having dinner here, they agreed that they would eat at home every day from now on.
Lu Jingnian didn't go, but followed along.
"When I came back today, I told them that we had to go to the fields to work and didn't have time to prepare their meals, so they should eat at the canteen."

For some reason, during dinner, Jiang Yue felt that Lu Jingnian kept glancing at her, as if he wanted to say something but didn't, keeping it to himself.
After the two finished their dinner, Jiang Yue and Lu Jingnian cleaned up the dishes together. They glanced at the medicinal food, which would take another half hour to prepare, and decided to take a shower first.
She grabbed her clothes and had just reached the bathroom door when Lu Jingnian came over.
