In the manor.
Jiang Yue had already taken a nap when she saw Lu Jingnian return from the study.
How's your work going?
Jiang Yue looked at Lu Jingnian and asked.
It's been so long, and he's still so busy. Can his body handle this?
"It's almost time to wrap things up."
As Lu Jingnian spoke, he lowered his head and kissed Jiang Yue on the forehead.

A portly man sat next to the girl, holding a spiked drink and harassing her.
The girl's name is Hannah, and she's the one Lu Jingnian asked Jiang Yue for help in building a good relationship with.
Jiang Yue put down her juice, exchanged a glance with Lu Jingnian, then stood up and walked towards him.
Hannah frowned as she looked at the man's hand on her arm, trying to pull it off but finding herself powerless. "You... what did you put in my drink?"
She actually came to the bar and had seen several girls being secretly attacked. She had even helped a girl before, but she never expected that something like this would happen to her.
"Get your filthy hands off me. Do you know who my father is?"
Hannah glared angrily at the ugly, fat man in front of her, wanting to hit him but unable to muster any strength.
"What does it have to do with me who your father is?"
I'm just here on business, I'm leaving first thing tomorrow morning, what am I afraid of?
The man looked at Hannah smugly. If he were a local, he wouldn't dare do such a thing here.
Although the woman in front of him was of average appearance, she had a really hot body, and he liked women with hot bodies like that.
Hearing the other person's reply, Hannah was so frightened she almost cried.
It seems she really encountered a pervert tonight.
"Let me go, and I'll give you money."
Hannah said she tried to call for help, but she was too weak and her voice was too faint. In the noisy environment of the bar, no one noticed her or heard her cries for help.
Moreover, this bar is in a remote location, and the people who come here are a mixed bag. Even if someone hears her cries for help, they might not necessarily save her.

A woman's crisp voice rang in her ears, causing Hannah to suddenly open her eyes.
Jiang Yue grabbed the man's wrist and forcefully shook him off. "If you don't get out of here, I'll call the police."
The man never expected someone would actually ruin his plans. In a bar, even if others saw something like this, they wouldn't care. This woman was simply ungrateful.
"Call the police?"
The man wasn't afraid at all. He looked at Jiang Yue, his eyes brightening several degrees. "Beautiful lady, I think you're quite good-looking too."
As he spoke, the man reached out to touch Jiang Yue, but before his hand could touch her, Lu Jingnian stopped him.
Lu Jingnian looked at the man with a cold smile in his eyes. He spoke in a mocking voice, "I think you're not bad looking either. I have a brother who likes people like you. Since you like to have fun, why don't you come out and have some fun with us?"
After speaking, Lu Jingnian gave Song Gang a look, and Song Gang immediately grabbed him, covered his mouth, and walked out.
Jiang Yue helped Hannah up from the sofa and gently asked her, "Are you alright?"
Do you need me to take you to the hospital?
Although they came to get close to Hannah, they couldn't be too obvious, otherwise it would backfire and make her wary of them.
Hannah's gaze had been fixed on Jiang Yue ever since she first saw her.
She had never seen such a beautiful Asian woman before, and for a moment she was stunned.

After leaving the bar, Song Gang had already dealt with the man. Jiang Yue didn't ask them how they handled the situation; she simply helped Hannah into the car and took her to the hospital.
Lu Jingnian had already contacted Dr. James in advance. Dr. James knew about Hannah's condition beforehand, and when they arrived at the hospital, he had already arranged for the medication to be prepared.
Jiang Yue felt relieved after seeing Hannah admitted to the ward and receiving her medication.
"Thank you."
Hannah leaned against the hospital bed, her eyes shining as she looked at Jiang Yue, one hand still holding Jiang Yue's hand. "If it weren't for you tonight, I might have been bullied by that ugly man."
"It's nothing, just a small favor."
Jiang Yue patted her hand reassuringly, "Dr. James said that once these medications are finished, your body will recover."
"Where do you live? My husband and I will take you home in a bit."
Upon hearing Jiang Yue mention the word "husband," Hannah remembered the man who had come in with them. She looked up at Lu Jingnian, who was sitting not far away, her eyes filled with displeasure and hostility.
However, she concealed it well and Jiang Yue did not notice.
But Lu Jingnian noticed this and frowned in confusion, wondering where Hannah's hostility towards him came from.
It seems he made the right decision to have his wife help him get closer to Hannah; Hannah seems to really like Yueyue, which is a good thing for them.
Hannah was unaware that Lu Jingnian had already noticed her hostility. She was still holding Jiang Yue's hand when she heard that Jiang Yue was going to take her home. She said shyly, "Wouldn't that be too much trouble for you?"
