After Pei Hengzhi left, Jiang Zheng patted the motorcycle in front of him and asked Lu Jingnian, who was next to Jiang Yue.
"Old Lu, want to give it a try?"
He knew Lu Jingnian really liked motorcycles and would definitely not refuse.
"Brother, he's drunk."
The river moon remained silent.
Jiang Zheng was afraid that Lu Jingnian would ride his motorcycle into a ditch because of his behavior.
Lu Jingnian nodded obediently beside Jiang Yue, "I'm drunk."
Jiang Zheng: "..."
Lu Jingnian glanced at Jiang Yue and continued, "Yueyue said she won't let me ride this bike and wants to sell it."
Yueyue said she would buy him something better.
He believed it.
Jiang Zheng suddenly looked at Jiang Yue, "Sell it?" His voice was full of doubt.
Jiang Yue nodded, "Yes, I plan to ask my uncle to help me sell this car."
Seeing his sister's resolute tone, Jiang Zheng subconsciously glanced at Lu Jingnian, only to find that Lu Jingnian was looking at Jiang Yue. He swallowed back the question he wanted to ask.
"Then let's sell it."
Since it wasn't him riding it, and the other person didn't care, it would be superfluous for him to say a few words on their behalf.
The motorcycle was coming back, and Jiang Yue happily pulled Lu Jingnian into the living room, heading straight for Shen Huaiyuan.
"Uncle, can you do me another favor?"
Jiang Yue looked at Shen Huaiyuan with a fawning expression.
Shen Huaiyuan put down his teacup and tapped her forehead. "I heard everything. Leave it to me. I promise you won't suffer any losses."
Although Shen Huaiyuan is in the antique business, he knows people from all walks of life and has friends all over City A, making him the perfect person to help sell motorcycles.
After dealing with the motorcycle issue, Jiang Yue poured Shen Huaiyuan a cup of tea and quickly pulled Lu Jingnian back to their room.
Lu Jingnian needs to take a nap to sober up in this state.
"Sweetie, I'm not going out now. Why don't you get some sleep?"
Jiang Yue pushed him down onto the bed, helped him take off his coat, and covered Lu Jingnian's eyes with her hands.
At this moment, Lu Jingnian was exceptionally well-behaved. He did whatever Jiang Yue asked him to do, and when she told him to go to sleep, he actually closed his eyes.
Jiang Yue sat with Lu Jingnian for a while, and soon Jiang Zheng came upstairs to find her.
"Yueyue, come out here for a second, I need to ask you something."
Jiang Yue covered Lu Jingnian with a blanket and followed Jiang Zheng to the second-floor terrace where Grandma Jiang grew flowers.
"Brother, what do you want from me that you have to come all the way here to tell me!"
Jiang Yue followed and saw that Jiang Zheng had closed the balcony door, clearly not wanting others to hear their conversation, so she asked in confusion.
Jiang Zheng paused for a moment, then said to Jiang Yue in a gentle tone, "Yueyue, I know you're more sensible now, and I'm very pleased. I'm really happy to see that you're not bothering Pei Hengzhi today. You did a great job, and I'm proud of you."
Is that something to be proud of?
Jiang Zheng's expectations of her are too low.
"Brother, you called me here just to praise me?"
Can't we praise it elsewhere?
"There's something else, I'd like to ask you."
Jiang Zheng seemed to have something difficult to say. He paused for a minute before finally mustering the courage to ask Jiang Yue, "Yueyue, why did you sell the motorcycle?"
Did you know that... Lu Jingnian actually really likes riding motorcycles?
Does Lu Jingnian really like motorcycles?
Jiang Yue genuinely didn't know.
No wonder Lu Jingnian always seemed to have something to say when he mentioned motorcycles in the kitchen last time.
"Brother, thank you for reminding me of this. I'll remember it."
Jiang Yue and Jiang Zheng explained, "As for this motorcycle, I will still sell it."
Jiang Zheng: "..."
Seeing Jiang Zheng looking at her with a puzzled expression, as if to ask her, "Since you already know, why did you still sell it?"
Do you really not care about Lu Jingnian at all?
However, Jiang Zheng felt more sorry for his younger sister and didn't ask.
Jiang Yue noticed this and asked him, "Brother, let me ask you, if you were Lu Jingnian, would you know that I used to pester Pei Hengzhi all the time, and even used my dowry and betrothal money to buy him this motorcycle?"
Now that I'm getting my motorcycle back, I'm giving it to you. What would you think?
Are you happy, or will every time you see this motorcycle, you always think of this motorcycle and my unbearable past?
Jiang Zheng was stunned. He stared blankly at Jiang Yue, never expecting that his sister, who always only knew how to chase after Pei Hengzhi, would say such a thing.
"You did the right thing."
Finally, Jiang Zheng nodded in agreement.
He's a man too, and men understand men best.
If he were Lu Jingnian, he would definitely like that motorcycle when he saw it, but he would also be unable to help but wonder how he got it.
A man's possessiveness can sometimes be quite terrifying.
When Jiang Yue saw that Jiang Zheng was going to get better, she immediately smiled and said, "Brother, don't worry. I will work hard to earn money and buy Lu Jingnian an even better car."
Jiang Zheng: "...So you don't like Pei Hengzhi anymore, and you've started to like that kid Lu Jingnian, is that right?"
In the end, I'm not worthy to be the older brother, am I?
How could that be?
Jiang Yue shook her head dramatically, "Of course my older brother is the most important person to me. With Lu Jingnian around, my older brother certainly won't be left out either."
...
Jiang Yue's room.
Jiang Xue sneaked in, opened the door furtively, and saw that Jiang Yue wasn't in the room, only Lu Jingnian was sleeping in bed. He immediately became arrogant.
He walked to the bedside and yanked off Lu Jingnian's blanket.
The next second, the man who had been lying on the bed with his eyes closed suddenly jumped up and kicked Jiang Xue to the ground.
