Chapter 3 She Feels Different

Li Guifen heard the noise and ran out to see what was happening. She saw Jiang Manyue standing not far in front of Lu Junan, and Lu Junan had fallen to the ground, with the enamel cup falling to the side.

This scene made Li Guifen tremble with anger. She rushed over, picked up Lu Jun'an, and turned back to accuse him harshly, "He's still just a child! Why can't you take out your anger on me and Old Lu Sa? Why do you have to attack a child?"

Jiang Manyue was stunned by her scolding. Just when she was about to explain, Li Guifen carried Lu Junan directly into the room without giving her any chance to explain.

Lu Jun'an was carried away. Looking at his aunt who was standing there in a daze, he couldn't help but speak, "Grandma, it wasn't your aunt who pushed me. I stepped back when I saw you, and then I fell."

Li Guifen felt even more sad after hearing his words.

Such a well-behaved child, when she was bullied, she would step back when she saw her, and when she fell, she would explain for her so that she would not be blamed wrongly.

"Jun'an, be good. Grandma knows. It wasn't your aunt who pushed you. I was wrong to scold you. I was wrong."

Lu Jun'an nodded seriously, "Grandma, you were wrong to scold me this time. It's your fault. Uncle said that if you make a mistake, you must correct it immediately. You can't just ignore it."

He is still young and can't remember some of the words very well. He only remembered the last three of the four words "let it go". He wanted to say it out loud to educate his grandmother, but he could only vaguely remember it.

Li Guifen was amused by him, "Okay, Jun'an is the best, I will definitely change and not let him make the mistake, okay?"

Lu Jun'an now understood clearly that she was going to make the best of a bad situation, and nodded quickly, "That's right, if you don't make the best of a bad situation, you'll be a good grandma if you change!"

Li Guifen smiled and touched his head, asked him to stay in the house, and went to pick up the enamel cup to make malted milk for him to drink.

Lu Jun'an was born prematurely and had been in poor health since childhood. The Lu family's elders insisted on buying him malted milk and having him drink a glass every night, hoping that he would grow stronger.

Just this cup of malted milk made the former eldest sister Jiang Manyue unhappy, but the old couple refused to give in on this matter, so she had to let them do as they pleased.

Li Guifen walked outside and saw Jiang Manyue still standing there. She remembered what Lu Junan said and couldn't help feeling a little embarrassed.

Jiang Manyue heard her footsteps, turned around and saw her, sighed, and still wanted to explain for herself.

"Mom, I didn't push Jun'an. Maybe my sudden noise scared him, and he stepped back and fell."

Li Guifen was a little surprised that Jiang Manyue actually opened her mouth to explain.

According to her personality, she should have directly scolded Jun An for falling down on purpose and blamed it on her.

Seeing that she didn't say anything, Jiang Manyue added, "It doesn't matter whether Mom believes it or not. I'm going back to my room to rest first."

Li Guifen was a little embarrassed. Seeing that she really turned around and left, she quickly said, "Jun'an told me that it wasn't you who pushed her. It was Mom who misunderstood you."

Jiang Manyue turned to look at her, shook her head, thought about it, but still said nothing and went back to her room.

Her behavior today was already very strange. If she said a few more words, she was afraid that Li Guifen would really become suspicious.

Li Guifen sighed lightly, went into the kitchen to wash the dishes, poured hot water for Jun'an to make malted milk, and then went back to her room.

It was almost dark. Lu Qingyou, who had been showering in the backyard, returned to his room and, while wiping his hair, asked, "Did you and Man Yue quarrel again?"

Li Guifen was a little embarrassed. Just as she was about to speak, Lu Junan interrupted her. "We didn't quarrel. I accidentally fell down. Auntie was there too. Grandma thought it was Auntie who pushed me, so she scolded her. Auntie didn't say anything back."

Lu Qing looked at Li Guifen with some reproach, "Why don't you see it clearly before you scold me? If your mother-in-law comes to visit you, won't you be the one who suffers?"

Li Guifen shook her head. "I don't think she'll go to Miao Xianghua to complain this time. She even explained it to me. If it were before, she would have cursed on the spot."

Lu Qingyou paused as he wiped his hair. "What? Did she suddenly change her temper?"

Li Guifen still shook her head. "It's hard to say, but I just feel like she's a little different. She speaks to me in a gentle tone."

Lu Qingyou asked again, "Should I go to the county town to send a telegram tomorrow?"

Li Guifen hesitated for a few seconds, then gritted her teeth and said, "Go!"

Lu Qingyou had nothing to say. He dried his hair and went to bed.

Li Guifen also watched Lu Jun'an finish drinking the malted milk, coaxed him to sleep, blew out the lights, and lay down to sleep.

Everyone in the family was asleep, only Jiang Manyue was sitting alone in the room in a daze.

She never thought that one day she would be able to experience firsthand the hardship and simplicity of the 1970s as described by her parents, and she never thought that she would dress up as a married woman.

Although Jiang Manyue tried her best to paint a rosy picture for Miao Xianghua during the day, she really never thought about relying on the Lu family for her whole life.

She also saw from her memory that Lu Lin really didn't like Jiang Manyue. This marriage was not stable at all and might end in a few years.

She must find a way to support herself, and from now on she will not have to rely on anyone but herself to live well in this era full of opportunities.

As soon as the fire in her heart ignited, Jiang Manyue immediately lost her temper again.

She is now just an ordinary country girl, with no skills and no connections, and can't even get into a factory. How can she change her life?

Jiang Manyue was worried. It was 1974, and the country was still in a closed era. Even if she wanted to do some small business to save money, it would be impossible.

But the next moment, Jiang Manyue's hope was rekindled. She remembered that the college entrance examination would be resumed in three years, and she could take the college entrance examination and apply for university!

Jiang Manyue, who was a top student in her previous life, was full of confidence in herself. She believed that she could change her destiny once again through knowledge!

Jiang Manyue, who decided to take the college entrance examination, immediately set up a review plan for herself.

Starting tomorrow, she will go to various bookstores and scrap yards to look for books. She will buy all the books related to the college entrance examination subjects.

The college entrance examinations of this era were very different from those of later generations. Jiang Manyue didn't know what the test was about, so she had to cast a wide net and catch more fish. It was always a good idea to buy a few more books to read.

Jiang Manyue had made her plans, so she quickly washed up and went to bed. She had to go to the county town to buy books tomorrow.

Jiang Manyue closed her eyes, but the next second she suddenly felt a chill under her body and a strong light in front of her eyes.

Sensing something was wrong, Jiang Manyue opened her eyes and found herself lying on the floor between the supermarket shelves, her eyes facing the incandescent light on the ceiling.

Am I wearing it again?

Jiang Manyue climbed up with a puzzled look on her face, then looked down at her clothes, the confusion in her eyes deepened.

She was still wearing clothes from the 1970s, so she hadn't traveled back in time. Then why was she standing in the supermarket where she was before she traveled back in time?
