Chapter 1301: Xu Gong's Death (Part 3) (1/2)

Deputy Commander Ma looked at the familiar military gate, turned and walked to the special car, and glanced at Xu Qiangjun who was simply wrapped in the car.

He asked the guard to drive and he wanted to personally take Xu Gong to the People's Hospital of the People's Liberation Army.

Whether dead or alive!

Twenty minutes later.

The special car stopped at the hospital entrance, and four medical staff rushed out carrying a stretcher and carefully placed Mr. Xu, whose face looked extremely grim, on the stretcher.

Feeling that the person was still warm, they all breathed a sigh of relief.

Director Zhou of the People's Hospital of the People's Liberation Army stood beside him, watching Xu Qiangjun's condition and constantly wiping the sweat from his forehead.

Deputy Commander Ma, wearing a commander's uniform, raised his foot majestically and walked slowly into the hospital.

He needed to know Mr. Xu's current situation so that he could report to his superiors later.

The soldiers who were receiving treatment at the hospital suddenly stopped and saluted when they saw Deputy Commander Ma.

This made Dean Zhou even more nervous.

If someone of Mr. Xu's status died in the People's Liberation Army People's Hospital, then his tenure as the director would also end.

"Deputy Commander Ma, an hour ago, the Xu family insisted on taking Mr. Xu away. I tried to stop them in every way, but they wouldn't listen. Furthermore, there were thirty or forty of them. Our hospital simply couldn't defeat them. I just saw Mr. Xu's face, and I'm afraid... I'm afraid..."

As he spoke, Dean Zhou wiped the sweat from his forehead again.

It was already the end of September, and he was sweating more every day than in midsummer.

Deputy Commander Ma raised his hand.

"No matter how skilled a doctor is, they can't guarantee anyone's life. As long as the PLA People's Hospital does its best to treat the patient, that's all that matters. There's no need to say anything else. The higher-ups aren't incapable of distinguishing right from wrong."

Dean Zhou's eyes widened in shock at Deputy Commander Ma's remarks.

He quickly lowered his head. Why did this sound like someone was saying that Xu Gong was going to die anyway, so it had nothing to do with him.

As soon as this thought came to his mind, Dean Zhou clenched his fists.

He must have misunderstood.

Xu Gong's status was above one man and below ten thousand men.

Deputy Commander Ma’s status is not low either, but the difference compared to Xu Gong is not just a few levels.

He simply stopped talking and followed Deputy Commander Ma silently.

Anyway, no matter what, Xu Gong won't live long in that condition. What will become of him depends on fate.

Dean Zhou just convinced himself.

I heard a few hurried footsteps.

"Dean, Dean~"

The anxious and flustered voice of the oncologist Ren was heard along with the footsteps.

Dean Zhou's heart skipped a beat.

When he looked up, he heard the words he least wanted to hear: "Director, Mr. Xu showed symptoms of heart failure as soon as he was sent to the ward, and then cardiac arrest. We used the equipment we prepared in advance to perform first aid. It's been two minutes now. Please come and take a look."

After hearing the first half of the conversation, Dean Zhou ran out of the room.

The second half of the words reached his ears through the air.

Oncology Department Director Ren Tsumabu hurriedly saluted and ran away even faster.

Deputy Commander Ma stopped and told the guard, "Report the situation to the commander."

"yes."

The guard turned and ran away.

Deputy Commander Ma followed the direction where Dean Zhou ran away.

He had just taken a few steps when a group of doctors ran past him in a hurry on both sides and rushed into a ward at the end of the corridor.

When he slowly walked to the door of the ward, the noise in the ward suddenly became louder.

"Dean, it's been seven minutes since I last arrived."

"Continue with first aid."

Dean Zhou gave the order in a calm and composed voice, his eyes fixed on the numbers on the instrument.

Time passes by second by second.

Except for a few doctors who were performing rescue operations, everyone was looking at the electronic screen of the emergency equipment.

"Dean, it's been ten minutes since we passed by."
