Knowing she was in the wrong, Lu's mother dared not cause any more trouble. She could only take the fifty yuan Lu Chen gave her and slink away.

"I'm ashamed of these clothes!" Lu Chen felt unworthy of wearing them. "The Lu family raised me, and I don't know what to do!"

Lu He ultimately chose to compromise.
Lu Chen didn't say anything and took Lu He back with him.
When they got home, Shen Qiaoyue was already asleep.
After taking another shower, Lu Chen lay down next to Shen Qiaoyue and went to sleep.
As usual, Lu Chen got up and made breakfast.
When Shen Qiaoyue got up, Lu Chen was no longer at home. She finished her breakfast and went to work.
The noise of the night subsided and peace returned.
For the next few days, Lu Chen remained very serious, showing no mercy in training the new recruits, who all called him the Cold-Faced King of Hell.
Lu He seemed unaffected by her background and studied diligently.
Shen Qiaoyue was naturally unaffected and continued to eat and drink as usual.
Two weeks later, I received some shocking news.
Chen Shishi has been arrested; the news came from her hometown.
It turned out that Lu's mother was afraid that Lu He would report the case to the police, so she took Chen Shishi back to her hometown overnight.
