Seeing that Shen Qiaoyue was talking to the child, Lu Chen came in to get some clothes to take out and wash.
"What are you talking to the child about? You seem very happy?" Lu Chen asked Shen Qiaoyue with a smile.
I saw several red envelopes on Da Nian's clothes.
"You received quite a few red envelopes today, both on the Lunar New Year and the Lunar New Year's Eve!" Lu Chen couldn't help but tease.
"Yes, the amount in this red envelope is quite large, five yuan in one!" Shen Qiaoyue knew without guessing who gave the red envelope. Apart from those few leaders, probably no one else could give such a large red envelope.
“There are a few more on the Little New Year than on the Big New Year!” Shen Qiaoyue said with a smile.
Lu Chen bent down and closed the door.
"The point of celebrating the New Year is to have fun!" Lu Chen replied to Shen Qiaoyue while making the child laugh.
At this time of year, I didn't feel cold, but I did feel sleepy.
"Go and make some formula for Danian. After you've finished washing him, he can drink the formula and then go to sleep."
Shen Qiaoyue felt sleepy when she saw Da Nian.
Lu Chen picked up the clothes he had changed out of and put them on the basin in the yard. He went into the kitchen, took the baby bottle, washed it, and came back out of the kitchen.

Soon, Shen Qiaoyue finished bathing Danian and started feeding him formula.
Lu Chen carried the bath tub out and took it to the bathroom to empty it.
After Shen Qiaoyue finished feeding the child formula, the child quickly became sleepy.
Jiang Mingjing came out of the bathroom, put on his coat, and waited for New Year's Eve to arrive.
I came in, sat down in the living room, looked at today's newspaper, and drank some strong tea.
Lu Chen was washing clothes for the child in the yard. After finishing the washing, the busy Lu Chen went into the kitchen and saw that the chicken soup was almost ready.
"Um, shall I cook dumplings for you now? How many would you like?" Lu Chen didn't know why he asked this.
Jiang Mingjing looked up at Lu Chen and replied, "I'm not very hungry, ten will be enough."
Lu Chen nodded. Shen Qiaoyue should have eaten about seven or eight.
Before I even got back to the kitchen, Liu Xinlan and Xu Qianli arrived.
"Boil the dumplings, and cook ours too, shall we?" Xu Qianli said with a sly grin as he carried in a bag of raw dumplings.
They even brought flashlights to illuminate their way as they walked over, and Lu Chen looked utterly helpless.
"I don't know why, but the streetlight in this residential compound is probably frozen solid! We can only use flashlights to light it up!" Xu Qianli couldn't help but complain.
"You're a grown man, don't you often work in the dark? Are you afraid of falling down in the dark?" Liu Xinlan couldn't help but complain. She had never seen Xu Qianli so pretentious before.
"I was just worried you couldn't see, so I had to light the way for you!" Xu Qianli explained, annoyed. He was clearly just trying to prevent her from falling, but she was turning around and criticizing him!
Hearing the noise, Jiang Mingjing got up and came out.
"You've come all this way? How's Xinlan doing lately?" Jiang Mingjing asked Liu Xinlan, having not spoken to her all day.
"Uncle Jiang, I'm fine. Qianli and I came to spend New Year's Eve with you." Liu Xinlan thought that Lu Chen would definitely cook a late-night snack when she arrived, so she brought the dumplings from home.
They never light fires in their house; it's just their habit.
"Come in, let's have some fun together." Jiang Mingjing treated them like his own home and warmly welcomed them in.
They poured tea for the young couple and brought out all the snacks and dried fruits to serve them.
“Yuanyi was very worried about you. I came here for the New Year and asked him to come and see you. He also asked me to buy some gifts for you.” Jiang Mingjing looked at Xu Qianli. He had seen this child before, and it had been so long since he had grown up.
“I know, Uncle Jiang. We’ve taken all those gifts back. Tell him that we have everything we need here, so there’s no need for him to worry!” Liu Xinlan picked up an orange and started peeling it.
Jiang Mingjing knew about Liu Xinlan's situation and looked at her with some heartache.
"Xinlan! I heard you resigned. What are you thinking about lately?" Jiang Mingjing glanced at her, hesitated for a moment, and then asked.
At this moment, Xu Qianli and Lu Chen were helping in the kitchen, washing vegetables.
When asked this question, Liu Xinlan paused in her act of peeling the orange.
"I don't have any plans. I just want to live a good life with Qianli," Liu Xinlan replied with a dry smile.
She doesn't have any plans at the moment.
“Xinlan, Yuanyi and his wife are also very worried about you. They said if you encounter any difficulties in life, just tell them and they will try their best to help.” Jiang Mingjing tried to comfort him, but found that he couldn’t say anything.
After Shen Qiaoyue finished comforting the child, she came out and looked at the topic they were discussing.
“Dad, Xinlan has always wanted a child. It’s good that she quit her job. After a period of recuperation, she might be able to get pregnant once she’s fully recovered.” Shen Qiaoyue reached out and held Liu Xinlan’s hand. “Xinlan has worked for so many years and is very tired. It’s good for her to rest for a while.”
"Yes, Qianli and I were busy with work before, but now that we don't have to work, we can take a good rest for a while." As Liu Xinlan said these words easily, she was trying her best to hold back the tears in her eyes.
Jiang Mingjing didn't press the matter further.
He then nodded and said, "It's alright. You can take some time to rest and recuperate. After all, work is for making a living!"
Liu Xinlan nodded.
Around this time, some people started playing with those small fireworks in the yard.
"Aunt Qiaoyue, come out and play!" Upon hearing Xu Xiaosi's voice, she excitedly said it was Chinese New Year.
