I woke up and stretched.
I changed into a sweater and put on a thick cotton coat.
As I walked out of the room, I saw that Lu He was already eating breakfast.
"Sister-in-law, get up!" Lu He greeted her with a smile.
Shen Qiaoyue rubbed her eyes, not seeing Lu Chen. "Good morning, where's your brother?"
"Brother said he's going out for a bit, he'll be back soon, sister-in-law, have your breakfast." Lu He was eating corn on her hand.
"Okay, I'll go wash up first." Shen Qiaoyue helped Wei Shengci wash up and brush his teeth.
After washing up, I applied face cream first.
"Lu He, remember to put some face cream on your face and hands, so they don't get frostbite, okay?" She reminded Lu He as she applied the cream while looking in the mirror.
Lu He felt a warmth in her heart and replied, "Sister-in-law, I understand."
"It's okay, remember to tell your sister-in-law when you're done applying it, and we can buy more later." Shen Qiaoyue added, worried that Lu He might be reluctant to use it.
After hearing this, Lu He felt that her brother must have used up all his luck by marrying Shen Qiaoyue.
"Don't worry, sister-in-law, I definitely won't let myself get cold," Lu He said.
Shen Qiaoyue didn't mean to be long-winded; it was because Lu He was reserved, and she knew that if she didn't speak, Lu He would be scared.
"That's good. This will be our home from now on. Your job is to finish reading the rest of your books and not put too much pressure on yourself." Tu finished and came out of the room, then sat down to eat breakfast. There was milk today, which is hard to come by.
When Shen Qiaoyue sat down, she saw that there was only one bottle of milk.
"Lu He, have you drunk your milk?"
"No, this milk was prepared for you by your brother. I ate steamed buns and corn." Lu He was actually afraid to drink it, but her brother said to heat it up and pour half of it for her.
She thought she had eaten enough for breakfast, and then remembered that her brother had told her at the train station that her sister-in-law was sick, so he had left the milk for her to drink.
“I can’t drink milk, it gives me diarrhea. You drink this milk.” When Shen Qiaoyue was at her parents’ home, she drank milk every two days.
But she feels unwell whenever she drinks milk.
