Chapter 453 My Sister's Possessiveness

Lu Chen, who was in the room, also heard Jiang Mingjing's words.

Shen Qiaoyue continued, “Lu Chen obeys his superiors and goes wherever he is required to work. My job is different. I will work in Fucheng until I retire. However, as for the children, Lu Chen and I have discussed it. When the children are older and start elementary school, around the third or fourth grade, we will send them to school in Beijing.”

Upon hearing Shen Qiaoyue's plan, the disappointment on Jiang Mingjing's face quickly disappeared.

"We'll be in kindergarten around the same time as the Lunar New Year and the Lunar New Year's Eve. Next year, we'll be in preschool. It'll only be four or five years. By then, we'll be around retirement age, all seventy years old!"

Xu Tiande laughed and joked from the side.

Jiang Mingjing didn't know he had a son before. He could endure loneliness, but not now. Now that he has a son and grandchildren, he wants to come home from work and see the children waiting for him, and hear them call him "Grandpa" as soon as he enters the house.

"Grandpa, I'll stay here with you."

Before Shen Qiaoyue could speak, Danian said to Jiang Mingjing, "Grandpa, I'm going to school here. I'll stay with you."

"Da Nian is such a good boy!" Jiang Mingjing was really touched after hearing this. "Grandpa is very happy that you want to stay and keep Grandpa company, but you are still too young to be separated from your parents. When you grow up a little, you can come back here to study with your two younger sisters. Then Grandpa can pick you up from school every day."

Hearing his grandson's words, Jiang Mingjing was naturally surprised. He never expected that Da Nian would think of staying to keep him company.

Da Nian is still too young, and he's all alone in Beijing with an elderly person. At first, he could accept it, but over time, he started to miss his family.

Shen Qiaoyue breathed a sigh of relief; she didn't want her son to stay either.

Lu Chen remained silent in the room. He didn't want to express his opinion. Staying in Fucheng was fine; wherever Shen Qiaoyue was, that's where he would be.

When Da Nian heard that his grandfather wouldn't let him stay by his side, Da Nian was a little disappointed.

"Okay, Grandpa, don't worry, I'll call you often when I get home, so you can hear my sister and me. Hearing our voices will make you miss me less."

Da Nian looked up and pinched Jiang Mingjing's gloomy face to comfort Seventh Grandpa.

“Okay, Grandpa will definitely answer Da Nian’s call and talk to you nicely.” Even though he was reluctant, Jiang Mingjing respected the children’s opinions.

Shen Qiaoyue didn't say anything, but got up to attend to other things.

After leaving his room, Lu Chen went to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy groceries and prepare dinner.

After dinner, Shen Yuanyi took Xiangxiang home.

Before leaving, I thought about holding onto Xiao Nian and didn't want to go home.

Shen Yuanyi comforted him, "Think about it, sweetie~ Go home and get some sleep, and you'll see your older brother and sister tomorrow."

With tears welling in her eyes, Xiangxiang looked at her grandfather and asked, "Will I really be able to see my sister tomorrow?"

While asking the question, Xiangxiang still held Xiaonian's hand tightly and refused to let go.

Shen Yuanyi nodded and said, "Really, Grandpa will come with you tomorrow."

When Xiangxiang heard that Grandpa would bring her over again tomorrow, she let go of her sister's hand, wiped away her tears, looked up at Grandpa and said, "Don't lie to me, or I won't talk to you anymore, Grandpa!"

"Okay, okay, Grandpa promises you, I'll definitely bring you here tomorrow. Don't cry, go home and rest early so you can see your older brother and sister tomorrow." Shen Yuanyi gently coaxed his only granddaughter, his eyes full of love. He bent down and picked up Xiangxiang, saying, "Don't cry, let's go home. Grandma, Dad, and Mom are waiting for you to come back."

Imagine being picked up, nodding, turning back to wave to her older brother and sister, and saying, "Bye-bye, I'll come play with you again tomorrow, brothers and sisters, goodbye."

"Goodbye." Da Nian waved and said, "Girls shouldn't cry either, or they'll turn into little kittens and won't look pretty!"

"Think about it, I'll only play with you. Come find your sister early tomorrow," Xiao Nian said, holding Xiang Xiang's hand.

Xiangxiang nodded vigorously and said, "I will definitely sleep well. I will definitely come to play with you tomorrow, sister. Remember to think of me."

In Xiangxiang's heart, her older sister belonged to her alone.

Shen Qiaoyue looked at Xiangxiang and waved, saying, "Bye-bye."

"Goodbye, Aunt." After saying goodbye to Shen Qiaoyue, Xiangxiang looked at Lu Chen and said, "Goodbye, Uncle."

"Okay, go to bed early tonight, see you tomorrow," Lu Chen said gently to Xiangxiang.

"Second Uncle, be careful on the road. When we arrive, if the child is still awake, have her call her older brother and sister." Shen Qiaoyue said to Shen Yuanyi.

"Well, we'll see. Let's go back." Shen Yuanyi carried Xiangxiang a few steps, and after reaching the main road, the driver opened the car door and they got in.

Watching the car drive away, turn at the end of the road, and leave the family compound.

After the car drove away, Da Nian and Xiao Nian happily turned around and walked inside.

When Li Qingming and Xia Xiaoli returned, Da Nian and Xiao Nian played together like they did with Zao Zao.

My little sister is less than three months old and can't speak at all. When she sees other children, she just smiles.

Kids love to hear funny jokes with a magnetic voice. As soon as I left, they immediately turned around and ran back inside to play with Zaozao.

"If you knew, you would be very sad." Shen Qiaoyue looked at the children's retreating figures, both amused and exasperated.

Looking at Lu Chen's expression, he said helplessly, "Xiao Nian just said that he would only play with Xiang Xiang, but now he's running away so fast."

Lu Chen watched the children running under the lights and smiled, a rare sight for him. He said, "The children are still young. They won't remember what we're talking about now when they grow up. When they grow up a little longer, they'll play with other children too."
