Lu He was pulled into the Xu family's living room by Yu Qingce.
"Xiao He, sit down first." Yu Qingce led Lu He to sit down on the sofa, then turned around to pour Lu He some hot water.
Lu He had a very bad feeling about the situation.
"Mom, I can do it myself." It's so embarrassing to have an elder pour water for her.
"It's alright, you sit and wait for Mom for a while." Yu Qingce placed the water he had poured in front of Lu He and went straight back to his room.
Yu Qingce took out a small box and sat down in front of Lu He.

Inside the box was a small savings book and several envelopes, all of which were bulging.
Lu He looked at Yu Qingce with a puzzled expression.
“Xiao He, we discussed it with your father Jiang and Lu Chen in Fucheng. Originally, the bride price was supposed to be 1,000 yuan, but they said we couldn’t break the rules, so we agreed on 200 yuan.” Yu Qingce took an envelope out of the box and handed it to Lu He, saying, “There’s 1,000 yuan in here. Consider it your mother’s gift for changing your address to Lu He.”
Lu He was shocked. Looking at Yu Qingce, she lowered her head and whispered, "Oh, this envelope, so much money."
To Lu He's shock, Yu Qingce took out a bulging envelope and a small coin from the box and said, "Feiming is my only child. This money is for his wedding, furniture, and house. Now there are requirements for marriage, and we can't buy a house. You've already bought your own furniture. You can keep this money and use it to help with household expenses. Spend it however you want."
Yu Qingce smiled broadly and said, "After I married Fei Ming's father, Fei Ming's maternal grandmother left us a sum of money. This money was meant for Fei Ming, and now Mom is giving it to you too."
"Mom, this money is for Fei Ming, I can't accept it." Lu He put the money back into Yu Qingce's hand.
This money was left to Xu Feiming by his elders, and he felt uneasy giving it to her.
"Mom, I'm married to Fei Ming, and we'll work hard together. We're doing pretty well now. Although my salary isn't as high as Fei Ming's, we're doing just fine. I'll write down that the money belongs to Fei Ming, so you can leave it to him or use it yourselves."
Seeing Lu He's politeness, Yu Qingce looked helpless and put the money back into Lu He's hand: "Xiao He, this was originally for your wedding. Why get married? Because you want to build a family. In a family, the wife is the most important person. So, this money is for you."
