Chapter 25 Executing the Mission

In just a few days, so much has changed in this lifetime. Shen Qiaoyue is eager to see her sister, Shen Qiaoying.

I bought a gift and went home.

"Sister, is sister home?" Shen Qiaoyue and Lu He returned carrying large and small bags.

The house we live in has three bedrooms, one living room, and one bathroom, and it's on the third floor.

The house was provided by my work unit; my family's old villa was completely donated.

My uncle lives in the building next door.

When I got to the door, I found no one there.

Shen Qiaoyue knocked on the door a few times.

"Sis, are you home?"

Lu He looked at him without saying anything.

Shen Qiaoyue thought that since she hadn't informed her sister in advance, her sister might have gone out.

"Qiaoyue is back?" At this moment, Aunt Li, who was also a teacher, saw Shen Qiaoyue and greeted her.

"Aunt Li is back from grocery shopping? I just came back to see my sister, she might not be home," Shen Qiaoyue said somewhat awkwardly.

Aunt Li was just as I remembered—energetic, with a hint of gossip flashing in her eyes.

"Your sister went hiking with her colleagues early this morning. Let Grandma Lin get the keys for you," Aunt Li said.

Shen Qiaoyue smiled and said, "Okay, thank you, Aunt Li."

Aunt Li looked at the girl next to Shen Qiaoyue and asked curiously, "Who is this girl?"

Shen Qiaoyue glanced at Lu He and explained to Aunt Li, "This is my husband Lu Chen's younger sister, named Lu He."

"Hello, Auntie." Lu He was also polite and greeted her directly.

Aunt Li looked at Lu He, her pretty face, and nodded with a smile, saying, "This girl is really beautiful."

“Lu He is indeed beautiful, but she is still in school and is only sixteen years old.” Shen Qiaoyue could tell that Aunt Li had a plan in mind.

"She really is a beauty," Aunt Li praised, then whispered, "What a pity! She's too young."

"Then Auntie will go back first; she still needs to cook."

"Okay, you go ahead and get back to work."

After Shen Qiaoyue finished speaking, she watched Aunt Li return to her own home.

Put your things down.

"Lu He, wait a moment, I'll go get the key." Shen Qiaoyue went to find Grandma Lin, who was in charge of the room, and got the key.

The door was opened very quickly.

When I came in, I found the house spotless.

It looks exactly the same as it did back then.

It feels so peaceful to be back home.

Lu He looked at the house and saw that it made good use of space, unlike the house in his hometown, which, despite its large size, was cluttered with miscellaneous items and looked messy.

The houses in the family compound, like this room, are very clean.
