"It's alright, Xiaohe will understand." Shen Qiaoyue spoke up for Lu He: "You must prioritize your work."

They started working shortly after their child was born and never had time to take care of the child. When the child needed their parents the most, they couldn't be there for them. Now that they are old, seeing their daughter become a mother, they feel really bad.
Shen Qiaoyue took her father's hand and shook her head, saying, "No, I'm fine. Mom and Dad, you haven't wronged me."

“My sister-in-law teaches Yuanyuan to be sensible, but for a child to be too sensible is a burden. Precociousness means he doesn’t get to enjoy the joys of childhood.” Shen Qiaoyue just felt sorry for the child because she was a mother, and both she and Lu Chen would subconsciously favor the other child. She was really trying to change this.
