Chapter 161 Sign the Divorce (2/2)

Su Yuelan pushed open the door to her yard in a daze. As soon as she put her hand on the handle, the door opened.

"You're here? Why did you go to our daughter's hospital? Our Xia Xia is already so old, there's no need to worry about her." Jiang Weijia opened the door, glanced at Su Yuelan, and welcomed her into the house.

"I..." Su Yuelan looked at Jiang Weijia and felt very complicated. For a moment, she didn't know whether she should tell Jiang Weijia that she wanted to divorce him, or tell him about the examination in the hospital.

After all, they are husband and wife, and if there are any problems between husband and wife, they have to discuss them with each other.

Jiang Weijia also had something on his mind, and he didn't notice Su Yuelan's strangeness. He waited in this room for a long time, going over what he had said over and over again in his head, but in the end he still didn't know how to start.

"Why are you cooking so early?" Su Yuelan smelled the fragrance of rice coming from the kitchen and spoke. Usually, whoever of the couple is free cooks, so one cooks and the other washes the dishes.

"Xia Xia has to work the night shift at the hospital today. It's getting dark soon now. If she has a fever at three o'clock, it will be cured in an hour. It will be dark after dinner, which is just right." Jiang Weijia spoke, his eyes falling on Su Yuelan's face.

"Remember when we were dating, you especially liked the clay pot rice I cooked. I learned this from a classmate when I was in school. Back then, in the winter, we would sit together, holding hands and putting them in our pockets." Jiang Weijia spoke, taking the food off the stove and putting it on the table.

"We didn't have money to buy meat, so we used some vegetables, a little bit of lard, and some soy sauce. It was delicious after mixing them together. The rice crust at the bottom was also crispy. If you couldn't scrape it off, you could add water and boil it to make another meal of porridge."

"When I saw the sausages our mother brought, I thought of making them and trying them again." Jiang Weijia said.

Su Yuelan looked at the food on the table, probably thinking of the past, and her eyes were moved.

"Yes, even though it was so bitter back then, I still felt it was sweet." Su Yuelan said.

But now that life is so good, she doesn't feel sweet at all.

"Yuelan, didn't I go to mom's place this afternoon? Mom told me something. She said that Hongjiao is now dating Yan Shaojun from the Yan family. The Yan family gives a lot, so they can't give less, otherwise Hongjiao will be bullied and looked down upon after she marries him." Jiang Weijia finally spoke.

"Wei An and mom said they wanted to borrow some money from us. Dad passed away early, and I'm the eldest brother. I think I should help them at a time like this. Wei An said that this money is just for show and he will return it to us immediately later." Jiang Weijia spoke and looked at Su Yuelan.

"If Hong Jiao is really engaged, and decides on it earlier than our Xia Xia, then lending it out won't affect anything, right..." After Jiang Weijia finished speaking, he looked at Su Yuelan, as if he wanted to wait for Su Yuelan's answer.

He thought that if his wife disagreed, he could think of other ways, or try to persuade her in a roundabout way.

Unexpectedly, the next second, Su Yuelan quietly put an agreement on the table.

"Jiang Weijia, let's get a divorce."

When Jiang Weijia heard Su Yuelan's words, he was stunned and suspected that he was hallucinating.

Otherwise, how could he hear that his wife wanted to divorce him and even signed the divorce agreement?
