Jiang Xia nestled in Lu Yuanting's arms. At first she pretended to be dead and didn't dare to move. But later she was really sleepy and fell asleep unknowingly. When she was half asleep, she felt someone patting her face gently.
"Huh? Missing us?" Jiang Xia opened her eyes and saw Lu Yuanting's face. She instantly came to her senses and remembered what she was here for.
"Yeah, it's done." Lu Yuanting nodded and helped Jiang Xia up.
Jiang Xia then noticed that it was almost dawn and it was now around six o'clock. The department store was about to open. The people who had been lying on the ground, sitting and dozing off in line had now stood up, obviously preparing to rush in the moment the department store opened.
This is the first batch of color televisions to be put on the shelves of the department store. They are sold out and we don’t know when the next restock will be. There are quite a few people here, and I guess they all came just for this.
Looking at this situation, Jiang Xia was a little nervous and didn't know if he could beat others.
"Come up." Lu Yuanting straightened his clothes, bent down slightly and motioned Jiang Xia to lie on his back.
"I'll be in charge of the rush and you'll be in charge of the buying. Let's try to be the first buyer." Lu Yuanting said.
"Tang." Jiang Xia listened to Lu Yuanting's words, hooked her hands around Lu Yuanting's neck, and leaned on Lu Yuanting, with her legs clamped around Lu Yuanting's waist. Lu Yuanting hooked his hands around her knees and lifted her up slightly, so that she could see farther while lying on his back and it was also easier for her to reach out her hand.
Jiang Xia rubbed his hands together, looked serious, stared straight ahead, holding the ticket in one hand and the wallet in the other.
Lu Yuanting raised his eyes slightly, saw Jiang Xia's appearance, and smiled silently. If there weren't so many people around, he would have kissed his wife.
As they were talking, the door of the department store finally opened. As soon as the sign was hung up, the people who had just lined up rushed into the department store. Lu Yuanting was young, strong, and quick on his feet. Even though he was carrying someone on his back, he still rushed in first.
Jiang Xia couldn't help but look back behind her. Seeing the crowd pouring in, she felt a little nervous. She put one hand around Lu Yuanting's neck and subconsciously tightened the grip.
"Wife, are you going to murder your husband? Hey." Lu Yuanting's voice sounded at the right time. Jiang Xia listened to Lu Yuanting's words and quickly loosened her hands. She looked at Lu Yuanting's neck nervously, afraid that she had really hurt him.
Lu Yuanting himself didn't feel any pain, he just wanted to tease his wife. Seeing Jiang Xia so nervous, he silently supported Jiang Xia's butt and lifted her up a little.
"It will be ready soon." Lu Yuanting said.
After hearing what Lu Yuanting said, Jiang Xia focused his attention on what was in front of him. Almost at the moment when Lu Yuanting approached the counter, Jiang Xia propped himself up, handed the color TV ticket in his hand to the person at the counter, and pointed to the color TV that had just been put on the shelf.
"Bring one!" Jiang Xia said.
"Hey, one pound is sixteen hundred." The salesperson took the TV ticket and checked it. He glanced at Lu Yuanting who was carrying Jiang Xia on his back, obviously waiting for Lu Yuanting to pay.
"I don't have any money on me. My wife is in charge of all my money. Wife, give me some money!" Lu Yuanting spoke in a loud and clear voice, especially the word 'wife', which sounded particularly loud among the noisy crowd. The corners of his lips curved, and there was no hint of malice when he said he had no money.
And a little proud and showing off.
Lu Yuanting's voice was so loud that the tribesmen around him subconsciously looked over at him.
