"I'm hungry." Yun Xiulan smiled and took out a box of cakes from the net bag on the table and opened it. "Mom bought your favorite mung bean cakes. Come, eat some first to fill your stomach. I'll stew pig's trotters for you later."
"Thank you, Mom. You eat too." Ning Xiyue took a piece of cake and handed another piece to Yun Xiulan.
After the mother and daughter finished eating a piece of cake, they went to the kitchen to cook lunch together. Of course, Ning Xiyue was just helping out, washing vegetables and passing things. Yun Xiulan would not let her do anything, no matter how much work was done. The mother and daughter talked and laughed while working, making the whole kitchen very warm and cozy.
At lunchtime, the original owner's father, Ning Hai, came home from get off work to eat. Seeing Ning Xiyue coming out of the kitchen with dishes in hand, looking very energetic, he pushed his glasses, his face softened, and said to Ning Xiyue gently, "Does your head still hurt?"
"It doesn't hurt anymore, Dad." Ning Xiyue shook her head and looked at Ning Hai with a silly smile. Ning Hai had a refined temperament and was simply the father of her dreams.
Ning Hai pulled the bench aside and asked Ning Xiyue to sit down next to him. He said earnestly, "Think twice before you act in the future. Don't be so impulsive, understand? My daughter."
"Got it, Dad." Ning Xiyue sat down and nodded, "I won't let you worry about me anymore."
"Okay, let's eat. My daughter has done a great deed today. She earned back several hundred great unity and also got rid of her anger." Yun Xiulan picked up a piece of pig's trotter with the most meat for Ning Xiyue: "Come, have some meat to celebrate."
"Oh, what's going on?" Ning Hai asked with interest, "Tell me what's going on."
"Let your daughter tell you." Yun Xiulan said with a smile while holding chopsticks.
