Chapter 65 Dragon

Chapter 65-65- Dragon

Because she didn't sleep for too long during the last part of the dream, Yvette slept in the RV back in the Puppet Town until the afternoon of the next day. She woke up with blurry eyes and yawned loudly.

It was a cold afternoon. The late autumn sky was gloomy, and the gray light fell on the dead leaves on the ground, bringing a depressing gloom.

When Yvette got out of the car, she saw the Great Elder sitting on a stool at the town's entrance, sipping a cup of steaming tea and gazing at the distant skyline. Beyond his outdated mechanical form, he looked like a lonely old man in a human village, his every move bearing the vicissitudes of time.

"You're a little late today, Miss Yvette. Is this the secret of your cultivation?" The elder raised the teacup toward Yvette and poured the hot tea over himself, signaling a swig. Although the scene was abstract, Yvette had already completely adapted to it and was accustomed to it.

"Almost." Yvette said, "Great Elder, I'm ready to leave."

"Are you leaving now?"

"Um."

"I'll go and inform everyone." The Great Elder quickly stood up.

"No need. I only notified you because I don't want to see such a scene." Yvette shook her head calmly.

"Okay... I understand what you mean, Miss Yvette." A sighing voice came from the Great Elder's loudspeaker. He sighed and said, "Since you wish your departure to be less grand, I will comply with your wishes. I wish you a safe journey. In our small kingdom, it may take more than ten years before we have a visitor from outside. I hope that one day I can see you again and hear the stories of your journey."

"I certainly will... And please don't forget to keep an eye on that blonde girl for me."

"Haha, don't worry, I have a good memory and I won't forget."

"Thank you. I'm leaving now."

"Bon Voyage!"

"Well, bye."

After a brief farewell, Yvette didn't return to town. Instead, she got behind the wheel and drove the RV off in a distant direction. That was her long-planned next stop, the ruins of another metropolis within the New Eden United States.

Looking in the rearview mirror, at the great elder who was still standing at the village gate and waving goodbye to her with clumsy movements, Yvette's dark red eyes showed no sadness or joy, and no emotion was revealed.

She had never really known whether the various emotional reactions of a puppet dedicated to imitating humans were genuine or simply a powerful mimicry. This suspicion permeated every moment of her life in the puppet town, and instead of fading over time, it only intensified.

But perhaps, in future travels, she will get the answer to this question.

Yvette was heading towards the northern part of Kuroshio Island. In her travel plan, she would travel from top to bottom, covering the three parts of Kuroshio Island, namely the north, central and south, before planning the next sea crossing.

The north is naturally relatively cold, especially the Kuroshio Island, which is in the northern hemisphere. In addition, it is late autumn, which is close to winter. Therefore, not long after they moved forward, snow began to fall from the sky, and the deformed creatures on the road became increasingly scarce, as if they were hibernating.

When driving into a stretch of rolling mountainous area, she parked the RV beside a snow-covered wood, then picked up the repair fluid material she brought out from her dream and began to spray paint the RV, so as to prevent it from hitting something in such a narrow view and breaking the RV, which was already just scrap metal, into pieces.

I have to say that the material repair fluid of the unicorn creature is really magical. After spraying and drying, the applied part is only a layer of translucent hard film, but the hardness is surprisingly high. If it is attacked by a low-level deformer, it is likely that it will not be able to leave a scratch.

When she finished her work, it was already dark. She went back to the RV to take a nap and didn't plan to set out again until the next morning.

However, before leaving, she planned to see if there were any wild animals nearby. If she could hunt some rabbits or something and make some roasted game, it would effectively increase her happiness during the trip.

She opened the car door and wandered around in the snow-capped mountains. She didn't see any hares, but she did see a few gray wolves.

But their posture was extremely vigilant, as if they thought Yvette was a deformed monster. When they saw a slender silver-haired girl, they had no desire to attack. Instead, they ran away immediately. It was really shocking how cowardly they were.

Yvette had no interest in hunting gray wolves; at most, she wanted to pet one. But seeing the wolves wouldn't approach, she sighed helplessly and gave up. However, just as they were setting off peacefully, the sound of a motorcycle blasting from afar, accompanied by a woman's piercing scream, caught her attention.

She turned her head and saw a familiar-looking blue-haired girl on a motorcycle suddenly rushing out from the opposite ridge. She was screaming as she raced down the snowy slope. What was even more outrageous was that not long after she rushed down the slope, a...

dragon?!

Yvette stood still, taking a closer look. She saw it was a dragon, a small black dragon with a wingspan of about ten meters and two horns on its head. Flames billowed from its mouth, continuously spewing flames at the fleeing Bingyu. Bingyu, relying on his motorcycle skills, was in imminent danger.

Yvette's eyebrows furrowed, a little confused as to what was going on.

Although archaeological research on the origin civilization has proven that giant dragons roamed the earth at least 30,000 years ago, and even clear skeletal fossils have been discovered, this is irrefutable evidence. However, the problem is that this is a post-apocalyptic world, and humanity has been extinct for less than a thousand years. Where did this black dragon come from?

Could it be that this is a special evolutionary deformity that simply looks like a dragon?

Or...traveled through time?

She immediately flew up and approached the direction of the ice rain. Seeing that a ball of flame was about to fall on the puppet girl, she summoned a simple defensive spell composed of water elements from afar, in the form of a water shield, to completely block the ball of flame.

This sudden change startled the black dragon's pursuit. It let the puppet girl escape on the motorcycle, and instead cast its cold gaze on Yvette. Then, without hesitation, it opened its mouth and exhaled again.

Yvette stood still, the red runes quickly spreading all over her body, even covering her black dress.

After taking a bath in the flames, she stood in mid-air unharmed and heard the black dragon let out an angry roar.

This seemed like a clear sign of an attack, subconsciously raising one's guard and making every effort to prevent it. But just as Yvette prepared to continue the attack, the next second, the black dragon suddenly turned, flapped its wings, and sprinted along the ridge - the dragon's roar was just a bluff, its true intention was to escape!

But... this naturally wouldn't work. As the black dragon gradually receded, Yvette narrowed her eyes. A blue rune ring lit up around her, and a strong cold current rushed out from it, sweeping towards the black dragon.

—Now, Frost Bullet is no longer restricted to a single bullet form; it possesses a wider variety of capabilities. Simply calling it "Frost Control" might be more appropriate. The same is true for the other spells. After all, the architecture has been completely restructured, essentially like programmers ripping out a mountain of code and rewriting it. The only connection might be the shared elemental properties.

In this pure white chill, the black dragon, having flown only a short distance, suddenly stiffened and plummeted to the woods below, smashing several saplings and sending up a cloud of snow. When Yvette landed in front of it, she could clearly hear its screams and wails.

"Damn it, how could such a powerful human mage exist in this damn place... and a female mage at that... Could she be that evil god? Could she really be that evil witch? It's over, it's all over..."

He could actually speak human language, and it was standard Glow Language. He was indeed a black dragon that traveled through time... Upon hearing the familiar words of the evil god, the corners of Yvette's mouth slowly curled up, revealing a tiny arc that seemed to be a smile.
