Chapter 4 Going Crazy and Consuming Others

After hearing this, Mrs. Wu's calm face showed no emotion.

She brought Tao Yuwei and followed the nanny to Songmingtang where her mother-in-law Fang lived.

As soon as I entered the door, the mother and daughter of the second wife were sitting next to the old lady and talking about something funny.

Seeing the mother and daughter come in, the old lady Fang put away the smile on her face, and snorted coldly with a gloomy face.

"Big Boss's wife, you are so bold that you selfishly had someone tie up Qing Ya and then lynch her without authorization. What are your intentions?"

As the stepmother of the general, Fang had been dissatisfied with her eldest daughter-in-law for many years.

She was determined to find a wife for her eldest son, a woman from a small family, so that she would be easier to control.

When she chose Wu, she wanted to marry her to her own son and was looking for a strong supporter for her son, but the Wu family had their eyes on the eldest son.

She can only feel at ease if her eldest son's family is not doing well.

Sun from the second house quickly stood up and said to Fang, "Mother, Qing must have done something wrong, so sister-in-law is punishing her. Please don't be angry with sister-in-law."

She was considerate and took the initiative to help out, with a sincere look on her face for fear of causing conflict between the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.

Mrs. Wu has been married for many years and has always had a good relationship with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Sun.

At the beginning, my younger brother's wife, Sun, was just the daughter of a poor scholar. She insisted on marrying into the mansion, but her mother-in-law was against it. It was Wu who helped her. After much negotiation and effort, she successfully married my second brother, Tao Jingyu.

After Sun came into the family, she treated Wu with more respect. The two sisters-in-law were as close as sisters. Whenever Wu got something good, she would give one to Sun.

Mrs. Wu felt very warm-hearted that her brother-in-law and sister-in-law spoke up for her.

My sister-in-law has been trying hard to please my mother-in-law for many years and has achieved some results. I am really happy for her.

"Mom, do you know what Qing did wrong today? She almost killed Yuwei." Mrs. Wu always said whatever she wanted in front of her mother-in-law.

"In order to marry the Sixth Prince, she actually attacked Yu Wei, pushed her into the lake, and then used Yu Wei's name to arrange a meeting with the Sixth Prince in the backyard chamber. She even lit that shameful incense in the chamber and got away with it."

"She's doing it for her own sake, regardless of reputation, and will do anything to get what she wants. If this gets out, how will our General's Mansion be able to maintain its dignity?"

The biased Fang disagreed after hearing this.

Her son is a famous general guarding the country in the Great Zhou Dynasty, and her eldest granddaughter marrying into the prince's mansion as the prince's consort is a perfect match.

"There's no legend about that. She wants to marry the Sixth Prince. As his aunt, you should help her."

After years of being together as a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, Wu knew that her mother-in-law would be like this. She never judged right from wrong, but only by the closeness of the relationship.

Any young person he likes will be protected to the end, no matter how ridiculous they are.

[Those who are biased become fools. Oh, let’s separate as soon as possible! ]

[If we don't split up, these idiots will sell us out for profit.]

When Mrs. Wu heard her daughter's thoughts, she was shocked.

Could it be that my mother-in-law and the second wife's family did something terrible behind my husband's back?

When she gets back, she'll have to get someone to investigate thoroughly.

"The Sixth Prince doesn't like her. He asked my husband to marry Yu Wei as his principal wife."

Mrs. Wu collected her thoughts and focused on dealing with the matter at hand. Her words made Mrs. Fang look unhappy.

The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law have been fighting for many years, and Fang is very clear about the methods of her eldest daughter-in-law.

In order to protect her eldest granddaughter, she did not ask her eldest daughter-in-law to produce evidence and completely tear off the veil.

"How can that be possible? Qing girl is already the Sixth Prince's person. When Yu Wei marries into the Sixth Prince's mansion, she will bring Qing girl with her and become his concubine."

Fang naturally made unreasonable demands.

The second wife's mother and daughter sat nearby, watching silently and coldly.

Wu didn't indulge her mother-in-law at all and directly retorted, "Yuwei won't marry into the royal family. Qingya has gone too far this time. I will punish her by sending her to the ancestral temple for a year of rest. If she dares to implicate Yuwei again, don't blame me for being merciless."

The prince's concubine is on the Royal Jade Butterfly. Not everyone can be a concubine. The old woman is too self-righteous.

If you want your granddaughter to climb the social ladder, you can do so, but don’t take advantage of the eldest daughter. If you have the ability, you can also help the second daughter to make a name for herself.

Don't do nothing but hang out all day.

"Old eldest daughter-in-law, you are so unfilial that you dare to contradict an old woman like me. Come, take me to kneel in the ancestral hall."

Qing girl has already passed the age of coming of age. If we delay any further, it will delay her marriage.

The eldest brother’s wife is so cruel that she actually wants to destroy Qing Yatou’s happiness.

Fang always liked to use this excuse to make things difficult for Wu.

He used filial piety to pressure others and punished his eldest daughter-in-law by making her kneel in the ancestral hall for several days.

When Sun heard that her mother-in-law was going to punish her sister-in-law by making her kneel in the ancestral hall overnight, she lowered her eyelids to hide the expression in her eyes.

[The old woman is a scoundrel. She always uses the same tricks, relying on my mother not to disobey her. She punishes my mother by making her kneel in the ancestral hall. Humph, watch me.]

Tao Yuwei smiled knowingly when she thought of the original owner's personality.

"Grandmother, if you dare to let my mother go to the ancestral hall, I will tear Tao Manqing's mouth apart and then make public her plot against me and the Sixth Prince. Then, forget about marrying into any so-called good family."

Being arrogant and domineering is good, she likes it very much. Whoever makes her family suffer, she will make them suffer.

It feels good to use internal energy to consume others.

As soon as Tao Yuwei finished speaking, the mother and daughter of the second wife were so frightened that they quickly stood up to persuade Tao Yuwei.

"Yuwei, Qing girl is still your sister after all. It won't do you any good if her reputation is ruined."

Second cousin Tao Xueqi ran up to her, held her arm affectionately, and said with a worried look on her face, "Sister, how could you speak to Grandma like that? Apologize to her quickly. If Grandma gets sick from anger, it will be very bad for your reputation."

Fang's face was awful. She pointed at Tao Yuwei and cursed, "You conscienceless little bitch, how dare you threaten me?"
