They filled another bottle with spiritual spring water for Huo Junshan and placed it on the table.
Huo Junshan came in from outside and said, "Why don't you skip this afternoon and stay home and rest?"

Today was Huo Changlan's first day of work. She was so tired after working all morning that she didn't want to go back and cook.
They went directly to the Huo family's house. Li Xiangyun was cooking in the kitchen, and Wang Cuihong was tending the fire.

She continued cooking without turning her head, leaving Huo Changlan utterly embarrassed.

Li Xiangyun turned her head and spat, her eyes full of mockery: "You wish! You earn your own work points and eat our family's food."
Seeing that she wouldn't give him any face, Huo Changlan simply went to Li Xiangyun and Huo Changgen's room to find her second brother.
"Second brother, I didn't cook lunch, can I eat something here?"
"It's my first day at work, and I'm not used to it yet."

Huo Changgen sighed. Because of Huo Changlan's situation, he now had no say in the family.
