The Huo family has already begun preparations for the Chinese New Year.
We'll all celebrate the Lunar New Year together again this year.
Huo Changgen tended the fire, Li Xiangyun cooked, and Huo Junshan helped with chopping and washing vegetables.
Huo Jianguo and Huo Jianshe also helped out.
Huo Jianjun and Huo Jiandang tidied up the house and cleaned it.
The snow in the yard was shoveled flat.
Zhang Hongying and Yun Ningyan looked after the three children together.
Xiao Huzi and Daya were also in Li Xiangyun's room.
The two little ones are asleep now.
Yun Ningyan was also very bored, so she wanted to go out and have a look.
She gave birth two months ago.
She has never been outside.
Going outside to get some fresh air is also an option.
She said a little shyly, "Second sister-in-law, I want to go out for a walk. Could you watch the house for me for a while?"
Zhang Hongying laughed and said, "Go ahead! They're both sleeping, it's alright."
Yun Ningyan went out happily.
She came into the yard and saw Huo Jiandang and Huo Jianjun shoveling snow.
She did not see Huo Junshan.

Li Xiangyun was startled when she saw her coming: "Ningning, go back quickly, don't stand in the wind."
Huo Junshan put down the dishes and said, "You should go back quickly. It's windy outside, and you're not fully recovered yet."
He doesn't dare touch her now, afraid that she hasn't recovered well, afraid that she's in pain.
I had no choice but to keep it to myself and endure it.
Yun Ningyan pouted: "It's been two months already, and I'm much better now. I can stand for a while without any problem."
"I was so bored! So I came out for a walk."
"I'm wearing a hat and a cotton-padded coat, so I can't feel the wind."
Huo Junshan couldn't persuade her otherwise, so he had no choice but to pull her into the kitchen.
"Then you can stand next to me; I'll block the wind from the door."
Li Xiangyun also laughed and said, "Let's go and light a fire in front of the stove! It'll keep us warm."
"I'll cook two more dishes for lunch, and also make some dumplings."
Yun Ningyan smiled and said, "Today is Lunar New Year's Eve, we should have a good meal."
She didn't stay in the kitchen for long before the two children woke up.
Luckily, they didn't poop. Both kids were wearing diapers, which made things much easier.
After a while, Li Xiangyun called for dinner.
Every household was emitting delicious aromas.
This day was spent eating, chatting, and enjoying delicious food.
They were having a great time.
Only Li Xiangyun still cared about Huo Jianguo's matter.
After lunch, she went to see Aunt Niu Er again: "Niu Erhua, what's your niece's decision? Is it a good idea?"
"I'm so anxious, I just want to find a wife for my eldest son as soon as possible."
Aunt Niu: "They were cold that day and exchanged a few words here. My niece went back home, and I haven't gone back to ask about her these past few days."
"But at the time, I thought things were going well; my niece's face was even red! Now there's nothing happening again."
"I'll go back to see my mother on the second day of the Lunar New Year. If that doesn't work, I'll try to sound her out again."
"Xiangyun, you don't know, if I had a daughter, I would wholeheartedly want her to marry into your family."
"Unfortunately, I don't have one."
"My older brother is incredibly stubborn! I'll ask him again when I get back!"
Li Xiangyun then went back.
She was still not giving up, and pulled Huo Jianguo back into the house.
"Jianguo, do you have feelings for Aunt Niu Er's niece? Would you like her to be your wife?"
Huo Jianguo was utterly shocked!
His mother's idea was really good.
How could a young, unmarried woman possibly become his divorced wife?
"Mom, what nonsense are you talking about? I'm a divorced person, how could anyone be willing to marry me?"
Li Xiangyun waved her hand: "Alright, I didn't ask you to say so much. I just wanted to ask if you were willing?"
"If you're willing, I'll do my best to help you. You should also try to make something of yourself."
Huo Jianguo remained silent!
He never even considered things from my perspective, so why did his mother ask about this?
He's only been divorced for a few months, so he doesn't want to find a wife so soon.
"Mother, I have nothing now. What do I have besides my two children? I have no money and no skills."
Why should she marry me?
"And I want to wait until I make money and have the ability to make money before thinking about personal relationships."
"Right now, all I want to do is raise my two children."
"Besides, what's the use of just asking me? How could a grown woman possibly be interested in me?"
Li Xiangyun waved her hand: "Alright, stop talking. I can't listen. You'll regret it if she gets married later."
Li Xiangyun left, waiting for Aunt Niu Er to return so she could ask her again.
The only thing that worries her now is her eldest son.
The fourth brother has a job and won't have trouble finding a wife, but the fifth brother insists on studying.

Huo Junshan took Yun Ningyan and the two children back home: "Mother, we'll come back tonight."
"If you're sleepy, take a nap! We'll be staying up late tonight."
Yun Ningyan took off her cotton-padded jacket and trousers and got into bed.
"It's still warmer at home. My parents' house is only a little warm inside; the main room is always cold."
Huo Junshan laughed and said, "They wouldn't be willing to burn firewood like we do."
"You go to sleep! I'll watch the child."
Huo Junshan placed the two children at her feet, picked up a book, sat down beside her, and began to read.
Yun Ningyan laughed and said, "Can't you take a break? You're so busy every day, don't you get tired?"
Huo Junshan rubbed her head: "It's okay, you go to sleep, I'm not sleepy at all."
Yun Ningyan slept straight through until dark.
Li Xiangyun came to call them for dinner, and only then did the two of them carry the child over.
After the New Year's Eve dinner, melon seeds and peanuts were placed on the table.
