Chapter 512 I Miss You

"Huo Junshan, didn't you want to go out for a walk? Go ahead! But come back quickly. Aunt Zhang and I can take care of things at home."

"I'm not going out today."

Aunt Zhang looked at Huo Junshan somewhat awkwardly; she always felt that the son-in-law of this family was a bit fierce.

Huo Junshan smiled and said, "Here you go, Aunt Zhang, thank you for your trouble!"

As Huo Junshan walked away, Aunt Zhang busied herself at home.

She cleaned the house inside and out.

Although she was supposed to be there to help take care of the children, she was just a nanny because she was paid by the staff.

Work still needs to be done.

The two children were still playing on the bed when Yun Ningyan had already dressed them.

Each of them held a baby bottle and drank it down.

Yun Ningyan discovered that Aunt Zhang was very good at coaxing children.

She could make both Yun Chuan and Yun Xi laugh heartily all by herself.

Yun Ningyan suddenly felt much more relaxed.

By the end of the day, she had learned about Aunt Zhang's situation.

Aunt Zhang is a good person, but her life has been a bit tough.

She has lived alone for over twenty years; her husband passed away when she was in her thirties.

The couple had no children; she lived alone and sometimes helped others.

With everyone taking care of me, life is going quite well.

Huo Junshan has been going out almost every day these past few days to check out the local market and consumer spending.

I spent the whole day there and didn't get back until the afternoon.

Yun Ningyan complained, "You, why didn't you come back for lunch? Did you eat out?"

Huo Junshan smiled and nodded: "I ate. How could I let myself go hungry?"

Huo Junshan smiled mysteriously, and Yun Ningyan knew he had definitely gotten what he wanted!

When Yunxi saw her father come home, she stretched out her little arms for a hug.

My stomach keeps bubbling and mumbling something.

Yun Ningyan smiled and said, "Go and hug your daughter quickly, I miss you."

Huo Junshan changed his shoes and quickly went to wash his hands and face.

After running around all day, my hands and face were covered in dust.

After washing her clean, he came over and hugged his daughter.

He gently kissed his daughter's cheek.

Aunt Zhang smiled and said, "Are you hungry? If you are, I'll go cook right away."

She didn't know how to address Huo Junshan, so she simply asked him directly instead of calling him by name.

Huo Junshan shook his head: "I'm not hungry, Aunt Zhang, you rest for a while, I'll take care of it."

Although they weren't hungry, Aunt Zhang was a woman of color, and the young couple probably had something to say to each other.

She went to the kitchen.

It'll be time to get off work soon.

She needs to hurry up and cook the meal.

Huo Junshan took out two land deeds. He had gone out for a walk today and bought a large piece of land.

This piece of land is quite large, and there's a lot that can be done in the future.

Or you can do nothing and just leave it there to sell later, or build a house to sell it.

A few days later, Yun Qinzhi and Wen Yingqiu were given a holiday.

The Chinese New Year is just around the corner.

Wen Yingqiu and Yun Qinzhi went out to buy vegetables and meat, and Huo Junshan and Yun Ningyan went with them.

Yunlang and Yungan were originally going too, but the two children needed someone to look after them at home.

They were left to stay home and look after the child with Aunt Zhang.

It's almost Chinese New Year, and the streets look very lively.

The family bought a lot of things, which Huo Junshan and Yun Qinzhi carried.

I didn't get back until almost noon!

The two put down what they had bought, and Wen Yingqiu said with a smile, "Mom is cooking today, Yunlang and Yungan, you two can help me out."

"Let me show you my cooking."

"Little Huo hasn't eaten any of my cooking yet?"

"Perfect timing, today is the Little New Year, we'll have rice and braised pork for lunch."

"Then, we'll prepare a few side dishes, and we'll enjoy them."

Huo Junshan washed his hands and took the child in his arms.

Aunt Zhang stood up and said with a smile, "The two kids don't need to bother. You two watch TV, and you don't need to do anything either. I'll cook!"

Wen Yingqiu nodded: "That's fine then. Yun Lang, Yun Gan, you two help take care of the child so that Xiao Huo can rest."

"I'm exhausted from carrying so much stuff back."

Yun Lang took Yun Xi back from Huo Junshan's arms, and Yun Xi was still a little unhappy.

Yun Lang made her laugh with a grin, and that's how she stopped crying.

Yun Qinzhi took out his chess set: "Come on, Xiao Huo, let's play a game together!"

Yun Gan laughed and said, "Little Huo, do you even know how? Your dad is a terrible chess player, bad at it but loves to play!"

Huo Junshan nodded.

Yun Qinzhi was somewhat pleased to see his son expose his shortcomings.

He slapped Yun Gan on the back: "What the hell are you? You dare to laugh at your old man! Little Huo can't beat me."

Xiao Huo definitely had never played chess; they never saw him play it during the time they stayed at the Huo family's house.

Although Huo Junshan hasn't played it now, he used to!

However, I haven't played for a long time, so I might be a little rusty.

Huo Junshan got used to it after a while.

They killed Yun Qinzhi without leaving a single piece of armor.

"Oops, I made a mistake, I made a mistake, just this once."

Yun Qinzhi realized he had put it in the wrong place and quickly regretted it.

Yun Gan chuckled and said, "Dad, you won't let me say it. Look at you, a true gentleman who never regrets his chess moves!"

Yun Qinzhi rolled his eyes: "Haha, I may not be a gentleman, but I am your father, so shut up."

Yun Qin's energy almost made him attack Yun Gan.

Luckily he ran fast, otherwise he would have been stopped.

Huo Junshan saw his father-in-law keep taking back his moves, but he wasn't annoyed. He figured it was just a game.
