Huo Junshan found a chair and sat down, holding Yun Ningyan's small hand in his large one.
His forehead rested on their clasped hands.
This is what Li Xiangyun saw when she returned.
Huo Junshan said in a low voice, "Mother, you should get some sleep first! I'll stay here and watch over you."
Li Xiangyun nodded and lay down on another empty bed.
Huo Junshan sat by the hospital bed and pulled Yun Ningyan into his arms.
He could only get close to her when she was asleep.
When she wakes up tomorrow and sees him, she'll probably get emotional again.

At night, the nurse came to administer the IV.
