That evening, Huo Junshan convened a meeting at his home with his brothers.
Yun Ningyan also participated, of course.
Huo Junshan felt that although they had donated grain, the severe drought in the southern province was a relief.
But that's still far from enough.
Ideally, someone would go there to sell grain.
Of course, the market price is fine.
They won't profit from national disasters.
Yun Ningyan nodded.
Who will go?
“We all have jobs, even the fifth brother has a job, only the eldest brother, the second brother, the fourth brother, Guodong, and Guoliang.”
Huo Junshan looked at Huo Jianguo: "Brother, why don't you take the fourth brother over there?"
Huo Jianguo nodded: "Okay, what about the shopping mall?"
Huo Junshan looked at Yun Ningyan and said, "Wife, you can keep an eye on the mall!"
Yun Ningyan nodded: "Okay, anyway, it's the subordinates who do the work."
Huo Jianguo thought for a moment and asked, "Third brother, are you coming along too?"
Huo Junshan nodded: "I have to go with you; you have no experience selling grain."
If he doesn't go with them, there's no way to get the food out of the space.
Yun Ningyan was a little worried, as he was at the research institute every day.
They can't do without him over there either.
I don't know if leaving for a few days at once will be okay.
"Huo Junshan, what about your work?"
Huo Junshan rested his chin on his hand and thought for a moment.
"It's alright. We just broke through a difficult problem recently, and everything went smoothly. With Ning Wenhao here, and Dad here too, I should be able to take two days off."
"Once I got there, I made the arrangements and came back."
Yun Ningyan nodded.
Huo Junshan looked at Huo Guodong and Huo Guoliang: "Brother Guodong, Brother Guoliang, you two take care of Lao Si's work for now."
The two nodded.
At this moment, Huo Junshan felt that he still had too few brothers.
If we had another ten or eight, that would be enough.
They set off on a whim, bought tickets the next day, and boarded the train that afternoon.
Yun Ningyan was a little worried and kept telling them to be careful.
After arriving in the southern province, Huo Junshan got off the bus and felt that there was still something there.
Perhaps because this is the city, it's easier for employed people to buy food.
They found a guesthouse.
I inquired about the situation here.
Some grain dealers, intending to make a fortune quietly, actually closed their shops and stopped selling altogether.
Huo Junshan was wandering the streets with a few people, but he felt that the three of them probably weren't enough.
He needs some help to avoid trouble.
And so, I strolled around the streets.
I met a few young people who seemed carefree and irresponsible.
Huo Junshan asked, "Young man, can you tell me about the situation here?"
Those people looked at their clothes and appearance.
They thought someone from above had come to rescue them.
They immediately started talking.
Huo Junshan nodded repeatedly.
"Look, I need a few people to help me. Do you want to come? It's three yuan a day."
The group was surprised by this unexpected good fortune.
But they remained vigilant, fearing that Huo Junshan and his group were bad people.
Huo Junshan said, "I have a batch of grain that I want to sell here, but I don't have enough manpower."
The men nodded.
Huo Junshan said, "Do you know where we can rent a warehouse? Take us there!"
"Your wages will be calculated starting today."
A group of young men immediately led Huo Junshan through a maze of twists and turns until they found a large warehouse.
Huo Junshan looked at the warehouse with satisfaction.
It was a bit dirty.
But at least it works.
They found the warehouse owner and negotiated a price.
I rented it for a month straight.
Huo Junshan asked Huo Jianjun to buy some food and bring it back.
They finally found a place to stay.
Huo Jianjun went directly to the state-run restaurant and bought a lot of steamed buns.
With the current food shortage, even steamed buns at state-run restaurants have increased in price.
There are nine of them in total.
He bought forty steamed buns directly.
He carried the steamed buns and headed towards the warehouse.
I encountered several children on the road; they were so hungry they looked pale and thin.
He couldn't bear to do it, so he gave one to each person.
But this can't go on forever.
He quickly took the steamed buns and went to the warehouse.
Several young people drooled when they saw the delicious white steamed buns.
They've only been eating one meal a day for the past few days, and it's still just thin porridge.
I haven't had steamed buns like these in a long time.
Now, smelling the aroma of the steamed buns, their mouths are watering uncontrollably.
Huo Junshan smiled and said, "Let's eat first. We were in a bit of a rush today, so let's eat this first. We'll have a proper meal later when we've finished cleaning up."
The young people were a little touched; they hadn't even started working yet.
They've already given them such good meat buns!
"Brother, food is precious these days, we don't need to eat so well, just enough to fill our stomachs."
“We used to eat only one meal a day.”
As they talked, Huo Junshan felt a pang of sadness.
He nodded: "It's alright, eat up! Don't be shy, we'll buy more if you need more."
The group didn't stand on ceremony; the steamed buns were just too delicious!
One person took two steamed buns and squatted down to start eating.
The young men ate two, then chuckled and wanted to eat a third, but were a little embarrassed.
Huo Junshan took out two and gave one to each of them.
"Fourth brother, let's buy some more! I don't think they've had enough to eat."
The young men waved their hands: "Brother, no need, this is already very good, we haven't even started working yet."
"We're full, let's get to work!"
They felt a little guilty for eating the food but not doing any work.
