Huo Junshan was carrying the person and was about to walk out.
Director Liu in the courtyard shouted, "Arrest those two men right now!"
He brought so many people just to arrest the two of them today.
The group rushed towards Yun Ningyan's hut. Seeing that things were not going well, the captain shouted angrily, "What are you doing?"
Director Liu sneered, "Why are you criticizing me? Those two are dangerous elements! Of course they should be arrested!"
Meng Zhenzhen was sitting on her bicycle in the yard.
She laughed heartily, "Yun Ningyan, Huo Junshan! You never expected this day to come, did you? Today I'll turn your joyous occasion into a funeral!"
The captain trembled with anger. "Meng Zhenzhen, what are you doing here again? Today is a joyous occasion, what are you trying to do?"
Meng Zhenzhen ignored him and looked at Director Liu, "Hey Lao Liu, are all your men just freeloaders? Why are you taking so long to arrest someone?"
Just then, a piercing horn sounded, and two cars stopped at the gate of the educated youth settlement.
Director Liu was startled. The people he had invited should all be in the county. Why were they here?
A middle-aged man in a Zhongshan suit got off the bus; he looked very imposing.
He immediately put on a fawning smile and went to greet her, "Secretary, what brings you here?"
The Party Secretary raised his hand and slapped him across the face, angrily saying, "If I hadn't come, I wouldn't have known what you'd done!"
Director Liu was stunned by the beating, but he was no match for the Party Secretary.
He smiled obsequiously, "Yes, yes, I must have done something wrong to offend the secretary. Today is my big day."
The Party Secretary sneered, "I wouldn't have come if it weren't for your joyous occasion!"
He waved his hand and said, "Bring it up!"
Whoosh!
Several people carried several large boxes and put them on the ground with a thud.
The Party Secretary sneered, "Director Liu, take a good look at this."
Director Liu's face turned deathly pale in an instant.
He was still trying his best to change the subject: "Secretary, whose thing is this?"
The Party Secretary waved his hand and said, "Take them all away! And his bride must know a lot too, take them all away!"
Meng Zhenzhen was too scared to speak, but when she heard that she was to be taken along as well, she cried out in terror, "I don't know anything! I've only known him for a few days! I don't know anything at all!"
She started to run outside as she spoke.
But no matter how strong she was, she could outrun men, and the two men captured her without breaking a sweat.
Yun Ningyan and Huo Junshan looked at each other and smiled.
Huo Junshan carried the person home, giving Director Liu a cold look.
Director Liu has already been pulled into the car.
But he clearly saw Huo Junshan's contemptuous look.
His heart skipped a beat!
With Meng Zhenzhen and Director Liu arrested, the crowd returned to its lively state.
Huo Junshan carried her around the village the whole way, and Yun Ningyan asked him, "Aren't you tired?"
Huo Junshan really wanted to kiss him, but there were too many people following him, and he thought they were in the way.
"I would never tire of holding you for a lifetime."
The children followed behind, asking for wedding candy. The brigade leader was in charge of distributing the candy, and he gave two pieces to everyone he met along the way.
Everyone along the way praised Yun Ningyan for being beautiful.
Huo Junshan carried her directly to the front door of the new house, where a brazier was placed, symbolizing a prosperous future.
Huo Junshan carried him over and went straight to their bedroom.
The firecrackers outside were deafening.
He put down Yun Ningyan, who had been enduring the urge to kiss him the whole way, and finally kissed her.
He only touched it lightly, not daring to go any further, afraid that he wouldn't be able to control himself.
Yan Hua, Yang Dasheng, and several of his brothers were all peering through the window.
He could only leave the person behind and say, "I'll go out first, and I'll bring you some food later."
"Brother Huo, congratulations! You've finally married your sister-in-law!"
Yan Hua and Yang Dasheng grabbed his arms on either side, saying, "Come on, let's go have a couple of drinks. Today is your big day, you have to drink!"
Huo Junshan waved his hand. "Wait a minute, go find my father and mother."
There's still one ceremony that hasn't been performed yet!
Li Xiangyun and Huo Changgen were summoned, along with a room full of people. Huo Junshan held Yun Ningyan's hand, and the two bowed deeply at the same time, saying, "Father, Mother!"
Li Xiangyun and Huo Changgen nodded, and the red envelopes were on the ground.
The simple ceremony of changing one's address was then completed.
As soon as the ceremony ended, Huo Junshan was dragged out by Yang Dasheng.
The front and back yards of the Huo family's house were very lively. The yard was large, and people were crowded together. Everyone who came would say that the house was very well maintained.
They prepared ten dishes and two soups.
Zhang Hongying didn't look too good. His wedding was a feast of eight dishes and a soup, and it had only been a few days.
My in-laws are so biased!
Huo Jiandang told her several times that the third son had contributed the most to the family, so this was a way of compensating him.
But she still felt uncomfortable. Why was she so different from others when they were all daughters-in-law of the Huo family?
Huo Junshan was held back by Yan Hua and Yang Dasheng, who kept pestering him to drink.
The courtyard outside was bustling with activity, while Yun Ningyan drifted off to sleep.
Li Xiangyun was busy outside, her face smeared with makeup by several old women. Worried that Yun Ningyan was hungry, she went to the kitchen and made her a bowl of shredded pork noodles and brought it in.
When Yun Ningyan saw her face, she almost burst out laughing.
Yun Ningyan asked, "Mother, why don't you wash your face?"
Li Xiangyun touched her face and said, "Oh, it's alright. I can't wash my face until the guests leave. That's our custom. You eat quickly, and I'll have Lao San bring you food when the banquet starts."
Yun Ningyan nodded and started eating her noodles.
At exactly twelve o'clock, the Huo family's banquet began on time.
