Chapter 116 Re-entering the Space

After returning to the manor with her father and elder brother, she couldn't wait to go back to her own courtyard and lie down on the soft couch.

After a long day of navigating the formalities of the court banquet, she was exhausted both physically and mentally. At this moment, she was filled with joy at being able to relax.

Moreover, she doesn't need to go to work from now until the seventh day of the Lunar New Year. Thinking of this, the corners of her lips unconsciously turned up, and a sense of relaxation and ease appeared in her eyes.

Ling Xue and the other two entered the room and looked at their master, who was lying there lazily and without any of his usual composure. They exchanged glances and couldn't help but chuckle softly.

Seeing that Qin Qianluo was extremely tired, with her eyes closed and her breathing even and deep, they were afraid that she might fall asleep and feel unwell.

So they quickly and quietly summoned a maid, ordering her to bring a basin of warm water at just the right temperature, and swiftly helped Qin Qianluo wash her face, rinse her mouth, and comb her hair.

Qin Qianluo let them do as they pleased. Her eyelids felt as heavy as if they weighed a ton. As soon as she touched the bed, drowsiness came over her like a surging tide.

At this moment, all she cared about was sleeping, as if nothing in the world mattered to her.

After finally finishing washing up, Qin Qianluo, forcing herself to maintain her last bit of clarity, took out three red envelopes that she had prepared in advance from her spatial storage and handed them to Ling Xue and the other two.

He mumbled "Happy New Year" and then drifted back into a deep sleep.

Ling Xue and the other two held the red envelopes in their hands, their faces full of helplessness, but their hearts were filled with warmth by this small gesture.

Even though their master was in such a predicament, he still remembered to give them red envelopes. This sentiment was like the warm sun in winter, how could it not soften one's heart?

The three of them carefully checked again to make sure the doors and windows were closed, tucked the blankets around Qin Qianluo, and gently lowered the bed curtains before tiptoeing out to their respective rooms to rest.

The moonlight, like water, spilled into the tranquil courtyard, as if draping this place in a silver veil, enveloping it in peace and foreshadowing the harmony and tranquility of the new year.

After returning from the palace banquet, Prime Minister Qin couldn't wait to tell Lin Ruoqing everything that had happened at the banquet, down to the smallest detail.

Lin Ruoqing's understanding of the distant and unfamiliar Japan was only superficial.

However, upon hearing that her own daughter Luo'er expressed such strong disgust for this country, she was greatly surprised.

Looking back, even when facing the Xuanyuan Kingdom with whom she had a past conflict, Luo'er only felt slightly annoyed, and her face showed only a little impatience.

Never before had she expressed such undisguised, profound, and intense dislike, but Lin Ruoqing knew that her daughter had always acted with composure and method.

Therefore, she secretly thought that no matter what Luo'er was planning, she, as her mother, would definitely give her her support without reservation.

Prime Minister Qin shared the same thought, believing that if Luo'er were to mention anything about Japan in the future, he would do his utmost to help her in the court.

Even in the face of opposition from all the court officials, he would stand firmly behind his daughter, becoming her strongest support.

The next morning, the morning light shone through the carved window lattice onto Qin Qianluo's bed.

Qin Qianluo slowly woke up, but instead of dressing up as usual, she lazily nestled in the elegantly furnished study, holding a book and immersing herself in the fragrance of ink.

Her mind was made up. During these few days of leisurely rest, she would not hesitate to risk even the presence of a powerful and extraordinary deity at her residence.

And don't even think about dragging her out of this warm, pleasant, and book-filled room.

She just wanted to enjoy this rare time at home, not going anywhere, like a weary bird resting in its little nest.

Seeing her daughter like this, Lin Ruoqing was overjoyed, and watched as Luo'er and Yu'er obediently stayed by her side.

With two adorable little children in the household, their lives were warm, harmonious, peaceful, and comfortable.

Qin Jiyuan stood aside, watching this scene with a face full of doubt, thinking to himself that his mother was treating him like air and ignoring him completely.

Qin Xiang stood aside, looking at his son's bewildered and aggrieved expression, a hint of disdain on his face.

She thought to herself that she hadn't even said anything yet, and this silly boy was already acting all wronged. He was really spineless.

Looking at the happy and warm scene of the mother and her two daughters, Qin Xiang's lips unconsciously turned up, forming a soft curve.

My heart is filled with contentment and happiness; I feel that life is peaceful and the world is stable.

Time flows like a gentle stream, passing by in a flash; a day passes in the blink of an eye.

Because General Lin was stationed far away on the wind-swept frontier, Lin Ruoqing was filled with concern and longing for her father, but she was unable to return to visit him immediately.

I could only bury this longing deep in my heart and wait for the right opportunity.

Qin Xiang once offered to accompany her to the frontier with great concern, in order to alleviate her longing for her family.

However, Lin Ruoqing knew that the court was currently very busy with many complicated matters, and that she could not do without her beloved husband and Luo'er.

Therefore, she politely declined her husband's offer, saying that there would be another opportunity to discuss the matter in the future.

Qin Xiang understood his wife's thoughts perfectly; he knew she was a woman of great principle, thinking of the whole family and the state of the court.

Thinking of this, I couldn't help but feel a little guilty, realizing that I was too busy with government affairs and had spent far too little time with my wife.

He secretly planned to find some free time, put aside those trivial matters of the court, and embark on a journey to the frontier with his wife and children.

He went to visit his maternal uncle to comfort his wife's deep homesickness and to make up for what he had neglected in the past.
