Chapter 23 The Real and Fake Heiress (Part 1)

The honor guard quickly arrived at the farm gate. Qin Qian dismounted, glanced at the plaque above, and thought it was time to change the name of the farm. She walked into the farm, pondered for a while, and instructed the servants to let everyone come in and rest, as she would go back later.

As soon as they entered the courtyard, they saw a group of people kneeling down and bowing: "Congratulations, Your Highness! We, your humble servants, pay our respects to Your Highness and wish you all the best!"

Looking at everyone in her farm, Qin Qianluo smiled and said, "Thank you all for your congratulations. I, the princess, also wish you all a happy life and to share in this peaceful and prosperous era."

With a wave of her hand, Qin Qianluo led Shi Xingbai and the others to the red mud biogas digester. It was being cleaned today, which would allow everyone to see inside better.

The workers eagerly gathered around, watching the craftsmen at the farm operate the equipment, and occasionally trying it themselves. Seeing that everyone was learning seriously, Qin Qianluo nodded and went to the plowing area.

Thinking about the well, he had 001 explore several suitable locations for drilling, carefully noted them down, and handed them to the craftsman who was with him. Satisfied, he looked at the vibrant farm, his mind at peace, and gazed into the distance.

Judging that everyone would need to study for a while longer, he returned to the main hall, without letting the maids follow him, closed the door, and slipped into the training space.

The training was just finished, and the people from the Ministry of Works had almost mastered the skills. All that was left was to build the biogas digesters. Qin Qianlu thought for a moment and said, "I also need to design a few biogas digesters for the Princess's residence. You can all come and build them together. Building them yourself will help you remember them faster."

The workers were overjoyed upon hearing this and nodded in agreement. Seeing that there was nothing else to do, they took their leave and returned to their duties. Qin Qianluo arranged the well at the farm and then went home as well.

Upon arriving at the mansion, she saw her mother standing in front of the gate with her older brother and sister. Qin Qianluo thought something had happened and quickly dismounted from the ceremonial procession. She then saw her mother and older brother and sister bowing and saying, "Your Majesty, I/Your Highness, pay my respects. Your Highness is so elegant and graceful, it is truly an honor for our family."

Qin Qianlu hurriedly helped Lin's mother up, scolding, "Mother, what are you doing? Aren't you making me feel bad? And my brothers and sisters, they didn't stop you, they just followed you."

Lin's mother smiled and patted Qin Qianluo's hand: "Etiquette should not be disregarded, but please don't be angry today, Luo'er."

Qin Qianyu also took Qin Qianluo's arm and said cheerfully, "Let's be more formal today. Today, Luo'er is being conferred the title of Princess. I am proud of Luo'er and happy for her!"

Qin Jiyuan nodded in agreement, the gentle and refined young man looking tenderly at the three people in front of him, feeling satisfied.

Qin Qianlu helped her mother and sister into the mansion. The maids and servants knelt down in neat rows and said happily, "This servant greets Princess Qingyun. May the princess live a thousand years! This servant congratulates the young lady on being named a princess. May the young lady be blessed with good fortune and have everything go smoothly."

With a smile, Qin Qianluo asked everyone to stand up and instructed her maid to reward them with half a year's worth of silver. The maids and servants in the house happily said, "Thank you for your reward, Your Highness!"

Qin Qianlu followed her mother to the main hall and said that she would not move to the princess's mansion and would still live at home. Lin's mother was very happy, and Qin Qianyu's eyes also crinkled with laughter.

Qin Qianyu preferred business to officialdom, and the Qin family wasn't one to restrict their children. As long as the children were happy and didn't break the law, that was fine. In recent years, Qin Qianyu's business had spread throughout Tianxuan Kingdom, making her a very well-known and wealthy businesswoman. She was always busy. The reason she hadn't left the house for the past few months was because of what happened to her younger sister. Now that everything had settled down, she was preparing to go out and expand her business again.

Thinking about her sister's business of fabrics, clothing, and cosmetics, Qin Qianluo pondered for a moment and then had 001 print out books on fabric dyeing methods, clothing design drawings, and cosmetic recipes, which she planned to give to Qin Qianyu.

After printing 001, Qin Qianluo pretended to take out some paper from her sleeve and handed it to Qin Qianyu: "Sister, these are some fabric dyeing recipes that I got from the traveling merchants, as well as other book recipes. You can take a look when you have time."

Qin Qianyu smiled and accepted it, then patted Qin Qianluo's little head and said softly, "Thank you, Luo'er."

Qin Qianlu shook her head with a smile, then pretended to take a mirror out of her sleeve and handed it to Qin Qianyu: "This is the latest mirror made by my glass factory. Do you like it, sister? If you need it, you can go to the factory to pick it up anytime. You don't need to pay. Mine is yours."

Qin Qianyu took the mirror and was overjoyed to see herself so clearly. Seeing Lin's mother's disappointment, Qin Qianluo hurriedly took out another mirror and gave it to her. Lin's mother was happy and patted Qin Qianluo's head.

Qin Qianluo squinted her eyes happily. She continued, "There are many kinds of this mirror. Before you set off, sister, you can go to Luo'er's farm first and get more samples."

Qin Qianyu smiled and nodded, not insisting on giving money, since she knew she wouldn't shortchange Luo'er with the money she earned.

After chatting for a while, Qin Qianluo returned to her own courtyard and slipped into her spatial dimension to design the blueprints for the Princess's Mansion.

The next day at court, Qin Qianluo was acting as a mascot on the side. The court officials were discussing matters when a guard reported that someone had struck the Dengwen Drum. Upon hearing this, everyone looked outside the hall, wondering what grievance had caused someone to be willing to suffer twenty strokes of the cane to reach the emperor's ears. The emperor also ordered the guards to bring the person up.

Qin Qianluo also looked over curiously and saw a little girl about her age. Following the guards to the front of the hall, she was still wondering whose daughter this was, and what grievances she had suffered that made her beat the Dengwen Drum, refusing to even report to the authorities.

The girl walked in, knelt in the hall, and kowtowed, saying, "I, Qin Yuecheng, risked my life to strike the Dengwen Drum, begging to see the Emperor, just to plead my case and seek justice."
