Chapter 308 Blue Eyed Woman

It felt as if his blood had frozen instantly, and he couldn't help but shiver several times, his back drenched in cold sweat.

On her forehead, there were two small bumps that stood out conspicuously.

At first glance, it looks like a horn hidden under delicate skin, not yet fully emerging from the ground, exuding a strange and peculiar quality.

But when he mustered his courage, he trembled as he reached out his fat, filthy hand and gently touched it.

The touch from my fingertips was unusually soft, as if I were touching some kind of rare and exotic creature full of vibrant life.

This bizarre discovery immediately set off alarm bells in the heart of the Emperor, who had always been a firm believer in ghosts, gods, and demons and was extremely superstitious.

An indescribable fear, like a rapidly spreading vine, instantly wrapped around his heart, sending chills down his spine.

Back on the day the woman was discovered, the sea breeze, carrying a strong, salty smell, howled across the quiet, empty beach.

It emitted a sharp, piercing sound, like the howl of a demon.

A group of Japanese fishermen, dressed in tattered and rough hemp clothes and wearing straw sandals covered in mud and sand.

As usual, on the mudflats of the beach, covered with pebbles of varying sizes, he bent over, carefully searching for his day's catch.

Suddenly, a fisherman walking at the front found her unconscious in a depression on the beach, carved out by the waves.

At first, they all thought it was just an unidentified corpse that had been brutally swept ashore by the merciless waves. One of the hot-tempered fishermen spat impatiently.

Muttering, "Pah, what bad luck! We'll have to go through all that trouble to throw this thing back into the sea, ruining our fishing time!"

Just as they rolled up their sleeves, ready to get to work, a sharp-eyed young fisherman suddenly widened his eyes and exclaimed, "Wait, come and look at her face!"

Upon hearing this, the crowd hurriedly gathered around out of curiosity. When the woman's breathtakingly beautiful face, seemingly otherworldly, came into full view, it was as if she were truly a sight to behold.

Everyone gasped in astonishment, momentarily stunned.

Her skin was as white as snow, and under the dazzling sunlight, it seemed to faintly radiate a soft and holy halo, as delicate as the finest mutton fat jade.

Her eyebrows, like distant mountains, were slightly furrowed, as if they held endless sorrow and a mysterious story.

Beneath her tightly closed eyes, her long eyelashes, like butterfly wings, trembled gently in the sea breeze, as if they were about to take flight at any moment.

Even in her coma, her natural beauty and otherworldly charm were undeniable, like a fairy who had mistakenly entered the mortal world and was untouched by worldly affairs.

Just as everyone was captivated by the stunning beauty and marveling at it, an experienced old fisherman quickly squatted down.

He gently placed his finger under the woman's nose and exclaimed in surprise, "She's still breathing! She's alive!"

So the fishermen immediately changed their minds and did not throw her back into the deep, mysterious sea.

They began to discuss it heatedly, with some people greedily suggesting that she be offered to the Emperor, who might then reward her handsomely and ensure her a life of comfort and wealth.

Some people hesitated, worried that this woman of unknown origin might cause trouble.

Ultimately, driven by the powerful lure of profit, greed triumphed over reason.

They used rough, barbed ropes to tightly bind the woman's hands and feet, and pushed and shoved her all the way to the Japanese Emperor.

The Emperor was an extremely lustful, licentious, and utterly incompetent man.

He indulged in wine and women, living a life of extravagance and decadence, and was never satisfied even with a harem full of beauties.

Upon seeing the woman's stunningly beautiful and rare appearance, he was instantly awestruck, his eyes widening as if they were about to pop out.

His face showed an expression of wild joy bordering on madness, his mouth stretched to his ears, and he almost drooled.

Without hesitation, he decided on the spot to keep her and bring her into his already chaotic harem, making her yet another plaything of his.

However, the strange bulges on her head and her icy blue eyes caused some ministers who were still relatively clear-headed and well-versed in folk supernatural tales and ancient taboos to feel deep worry and fear.

They knelt down solemnly and earnestly remonstrated with the Emperor, their words filled with tears: "Your Majesty, this woman is so extraordinary and different from ordinary people."

It was discovered in a mysterious and unknown place by the sea, which makes it highly likely that it was transformed from a demon.

Throughout history, any offense against evil spirits has been met with terrible calamities, ranging from rampant plagues and crop failures to the destruction of mountains and rivers and the collapse of nations.

Our nation of Japan is too weak to withstand such a burden! We earnestly hope that Your Majesty will not allow momentary greed to bring utter destruction upon Japan!

Although the Emperor usually acts in an extremely absurd manner, his mind is full of absurd and foolish thoughts, like a puppet controlled by desires.

But faced with the ministers' tearful and earnest advice, and seeing the woman's mysterious and dangerous aura, he couldn't help but feel fear and a chill down his spine.

A flicker of hesitation and struggle crossed his eyes, his heart tugs wildly between desire and fear.

After much deliberation, fear ultimately prevailed, and he dared not act rashly.
