Chapter 340 The Dark Moon Awakens (Part 1)

Ling Xue had originally longed to join the search team, and on that day, she took the initiative to find Qin Qianluo, her eyes filled with determination and eagerness.

With her hands clenched into fists, her knuckles turning white, she said earnestly, "Qianluo, I want to go with Qianchao and the others to find the culprit who harmed Dark Moon. I want to do my part."

Darkmoon is my most important companion; I cannot bear to watch her suffer such a terrible injury and be powerless to help her.

However, Qin Qianluo looked at her with worry and concern in her eyes, gently shook her head, and said earnestly, "Ling Xue, I know you care about Dark Moon."

You have the courage and determination, but your martial arts skills are not considered top-notch among the crowd; only your lightness skill is outstanding.

If I were to send you off alone to face unknown dangers, I would be very worried. What if something unexpected happened? How would I explain it to Dark Moon?

Please stay here and take care of Darkmoon. She's so weak right now and needs your meticulous care most. Your company might be the best medicine for her.

Upon hearing this, a hint of disappointment flashed in Ling Xue's eyes, like a shooting star streaking across the night sky, fleeting in an instant, but she quickly understood Qin Qianluo's good intentions.

She nodded solemnly and replied, "Qianluo, don't worry, I will take good care of Anyue. I will stay by her side until she wakes up."

Recalling these things, Ling Xue's hand paused slightly, then she continued massaging Dark Moon, muttering to herself, "Dark Moon, Master is about to get married, to Prime Minister Su."

Su Xiang treated his mistress exceptionally well, always thinking of her needs, and was gentle and considerate.

You need to wake up quickly. When you wake up, you will see your master's happy face.

We'll celebrate together for our master then, and maybe we'll even get to drink at his wedding banquet.

I was thinking that once you're better, we could go to the market together and try all the delicious snacks.

As she spoke, a smile appeared in Ling Xue's eyes, as if she could already see that happy and blissful scene.

Her smile was full of anticipation for the future, like a flower blooming in spring, brimming with vitality and hope.

After an unknown amount of time, Ling Xue finally stopped talking. After finishing the massage for An Yue, she gently put down An Yue's arm, slowly got up, and walked out of the room to wash her hands.

Her back view, bearing the weariness of a long wait, yet unwavering, seemed to carry a deep sense of protection for the Dark Moon.

In the brief moment after Ling Xue left the room, An Yue, who had been lying quietly on the bed without any sensation, twitched her fingers slightly, as if touched by a gentle breeze.

Immediately afterwards, her eyelids began to tremble slowly, as if struggling to break free from something, and her eyes slowly opened.

A deep sense of confusion filled his newly awakened eyes, like a lake shrouded in fog.

She seemed to be trying to figure out where she was, or perhaps she was still trapped in the vortex of that long dream, unable to break free completely.

She slowly looked around. The familiar room layout made her feel a little more at ease, but her extreme weakness made her dizzy.

It felt as if the whole world was spinning, and my throat was as parched as dry, cracked earth, about to split open.

When Ling Xue returned to her room, she didn't immediately look at the bed. Instead, she went straight to the table and picked up the martial arts manual that Yao Guang had given her.

This manual was carefully selected by Yao Guang from many ancient books, based on her exceptional lightness skills.

For Ling Xue, it was of extraordinary significance, like a beacon in the darkness.

Ling Xue opened the manual and began to study it with great concentration. Although she was not particularly quick to understand and had practiced diligently over the years, her progress had been quite limited, but she never gave up.

Yao Guang was usually very busy and couldn't find the time to personally guide her.

She didn't want to bother others with her own affairs, so she could only rely on herself to study it repeatedly.

Her gaze was focused and resolute, and at times her brows furrowed tightly, as if she had encountered a difficult problem.

At times, he seemed to be deep in thought, as if he had gained some insight, completely immersed in the wonderful world of martial arts manuals.

He was also muttering the moves to himself from time to time, as if he had become one with the manual.

Upon hearing the sound, Dark Moon struggled to turn her stiff neck, each movement feeling as if it carried a tremendous weight, making it incredibly difficult.

When she finally saw that it was Ling Xue, her parched throat moved slightly as she tried to call out Ling Xue's name.

But the sound seemed to be stuck in his throat by an invisible force, and he couldn't make it out.

Left with no other choice, she could only use the last of her strength to slowly move her heavy arm, every muscle protesting in pain.

Her fingers trembled as she finally touched the bell by the bedside.

She was so thirsty, her throat felt like it was on fire, and her stomach was growling loudly.

At this moment, what she longed for most was to have a sip of sweet water and some delicious food.

"Ding-a-ling," the crisp sound of a bell suddenly rang out in the quiet room, instantly attracting Ling Xue's full attention.

She abruptly put down the book in her hand and eagerly looked up toward the bed.

With just that one glance, her eyes widened suddenly, filled with unbelievable surprise.

It was as if I had witnessed the most incredible miracle in the world, and my eyes instantly welled up with tears.

As if drawn by an invisible yet powerful force, she staggered a few steps to Dark Moon's bedside, trembling as she reached out and gently touched Dark Moon's face.

The moment her fingertips touched Dark Moon's skin, she felt as if she were in a beautiful dream.

And when he saw Dark Moon's lips curl slightly, revealing a weak yet incredibly familiar smile.
