Then, he gently raised his beautiful, ink-black eyebrows, revealing a pair of eyes as bright and captivating as peach blossoms, yet also revealing a hint of cunning and sinister intent.
With a condescending air, as if scrutinizing prey, he leisurely turned to the trembling Yu Ying standing to the side.
Although his eyes held a seemingly gentle and friendly smile, this smile was like thin ice floating on the water, icy and piercing, not reaching the depths of his eyes at all.
Instead, a chilling coldness lurked deep within his eyes, as if it would transform into a sharp blade at any moment, mercilessly piercing through the person before him.
He gently placed the teacup back on the table, his movements light yet deliberately heavy.
The teacup touched the table, making a very subtle sound, yet remarkably clear in the quiet space.
This soft sound might have been just an insignificant, ordinary sound to others, but to Yu Ying, whose nerves were already on edge.
But it was like a deafening thunderclap that suddenly exploded in his ears, making her heart clench.
Yu Ying had barely managed to steady her trembling body when the sudden sound startled her, causing her to tremble violently again as if she had been electrocuted.
My legs went weak, and I could barely stand. It was as if I was being held tightly by an invisible hand of fear, unable to break free, and I could only struggle bitterly in the abyss of fear.
The man took in Yu Ying's disheveled appearance, and a smile slowly curved his lips, full of mockery and ridicule.
That smile was like an incredibly sharp knife, piercing straight into Yu Ying's already riddled heart.
His voice seemed to be squeezed out coldly from between his teeth, carrying a chilling coldness that seemed to come from hell, like a raging wind in the dead of winter.
The chilling coldness of ice and snow echoed eerily in the almost deathly silent attic.
"I underestimated you. I never knew you had such extraordinary abilities. You have truly broadened my horizons and made me look at you with new eyes."
The voice was like a venomous snake's tongue, every word carrying a deadly aura.
It was as if a mere touch would inject a deadly poison, causing the temperature of the entire attic to plummet below freezing, a truly chilling sight.
The voice, though not loud, was like a thunderbolt carrying destructive power, exploding unexpectedly in Yu Ying's ears.
It was like a heavy hammer, crashing down on her heart with the force of Mount Tai.
In an instant, her face turned ashen, as if struck by frost, devoid of any color.
Like a withered flower ravaged by the biting winter wind, fragile and helpless.
Fear, like a surging, icy tide, engulfed her completely with overwhelming force, making her legs feel as if all the strength had been instantly drained away.
With a "thud," he collapsed heavily to his knees as if weightless.
Her body trembled uncontrollably, like a sieve, and her teeth chattered with extreme fear.
Her voice trembled like a withered leaf falling in the autumn wind, filled with endless fear, regret, and pleading.
She said in near despair, "Yu Ying truly knows that she has committed an unforgivable mistake. Yu Ying is utterly foolish."
Little did I know that my rash and ignorant actions would be like a misplaced piece thrown into a carefully laid-out chess game, shattering your plans.
I beg you, with your great mercy, to give Yuying another chance. Yuying will certainly be careful in her words and deeds from now on, walking on thin ice, and will never make the same mistake again.
"If there is even the slightest mistake, however you wish to punish me, even if it means my death, I will not utter a single complaint."
Upon hearing Yu Ying's tearful pleas for mercy, the man slowly curled a chilling, icy smile onto his lips.
That smile was like a sharp icicle hanging on the edge of a cliff in the dead of winter, gleaming with a chilling light.
It exudes a bone-chilling cold, as if it could instantly freeze the surrounding air into ice.
He first narrowed his eyes slightly, a sharp, ruthless glint and undisguised disdain flashing in them.
That gaze seemed to be scrutinizing an insignificant ant that dared to offend the might of heaven.
Then, he slowly raised his hand, the movement seemingly casual and lazy, as if he were swatting away an insignificant mosquito.
Yet it carries an innate, unyielding authority inherent in those in positions of power.
Like an emperor issuing an irresistible decree to a lowly subject, it casually yet undeniably signaled for Yu Ying to approach.
Upon seeing this, Yu Ying felt a surge of despair and fear, as if she were falling into an abyss.
However, under this overwhelming and suffocating power, she was like a flying insect trapped in a spider web, daring not to disobey in the slightest.
She bit her lower lip so hard that it turned white and almost bled; the deep teeth marks seemed to be the brand of her inner pain and humiliation.
She suppressed the humiliation and pain churning within her, as if carrying a thousand-pound burden, and moved inch by inch toward him with great difficulty on her knees.
Each step forward seemed to drain the last bit of strength from her body.
Every inch of my skin trembled in agony, every nerve convulsed wildly in the abyss of fear, and every breath was accompanied by unbearable torment.
Finally, Yu Ying, like a puppet completely controlled by fear, laboriously moved in front of him amidst extreme pain and terror.
He looked down at Yu Ying with a condescending gaze, his eyes filled with superior disdain and scrutiny, as if he were examining a worthless toy.
