Chapter 52 Opium (Part Two)

Seeing that Qin Qianluo had calmed down, 001 was relieved. "Don't worry, Luo Bao, I'll keep an eye on things and won't let this thing harm the people of Tianxuan."

Qin Qianlu nodded in relief. 001 could keep an eye on things. It was no problem to leave this to 001. Then, thinking of something, she added, "I wonder what the founding emperor of Xuanyuan would think if he knew that the country he built had become what it is today."

"Xuanyuan" is such a wonderful word. In Chinese civilization, it is the title of the Yellow Emperor, who pioneered Chinese civilization. Now, this country has tarnished it; they are unworthy to use this word as their country's name.

001 agreed, saying, "They certainly don't deserve it. This country exudes decay from the inside out, just like in the late Qing Dynasty, or even more so."

Qin Qianluo pondered seriously. She needed to quickly understand the entire Xuanyuan Kingdom, return to Tianxuan as soon as possible, and let the Tianxuan army destroy the country so that it would not tarnish the name of Xuanyuan.

Those outside who heard this held their breath and secretly resolved to do everything in their power to help Princess Qingyun obtain the necessary information as soon as possible and to destroy this rotten country to the core.

Ling Xue and the other two thought the same way. Although they didn't know about China and Huaxia, they knew the significance of the words "the pioneer of civilization." The words "Xuanyuan" were indeed unworthy of them, as they were firsthand witnesses.

If they hadn't witnessed the status of women in Tianxuan Kingdom, they might not have known how bad their previous country was, and would have assumed that everyone was the same, and that fate was similar no matter where they were.

But they had seen the women of Tianxuan Kingdom, and every woman there was confident and flamboyant. They didn't have many restrictions; they could pursue their ideals and choose a different life.

In Tianxuan Kingdom, no one believes that women should be good wives and mothers, and should keep having children. If they cannot give birth to a boy, they deserve to be beaten and scolded. Even if they want to take the imperial examinations, no one will think it is inappropriate.

The group clenched their fists silently. They were now members of the Tianxuan Kingdom and followed such a good master. They were determined to help their master gather information as quickly as possible.

The dozen or so women who couldn't hear were puzzled. They didn't understand why the guards and Ling Xue and the other two had such changing expressions. Had they missed something?

When it was time for dinner, Qin Qianluo returned to her usual self and ate with everyone. In the past few days, the three of them had learned to cook many dishes through video lessons, and everyone had gained a lot of weight, most obviously the dozen or so women, who had visibly gained weight.

Originally, those who came in later didn't dare to eat with Qin Qianluo and the others. They had been instilled with the idea from childhood that women should not eat at the same table as men or see men from outside the family.

However, during their extended stay here, they witnessed the female and male bodyguards joking and training without any hesitation, and Ling Xue and the other two were the same. No one reprimanded them for this.

This was a scene they had never seen before, and they were extremely shocked when they learned that Qin Qianluo was also a woman. After all, she was like a little sun, lively and cheerful, and spoke with great poise and confidence, unlike the timid and submissive women of the Xuanyuan Kingdom.

Although this place is beyond their understanding since childhood, they really like it and have recently become much more relaxed. Even when eating together, they are no longer as anxious as before.

After dinner, Qin Qianlu pestered An Yue to teach her martial arts. Lightness skill requires internal energy, which she didn't have. She could only improve herself by using faster sword techniques. She didn't need to be very powerful, but she needed to be able to protect herself and not become a burden to others.

After training, Qin Qianluo went to wash up. When she came out while drying her hair, she saw Ling Xue and the other two with the guards watching TV in the living room. She walked over while drying her hair and sat down between An Yue and Ling Wei.

Ling Wei naturally took the towel and helped her dry her hair. She didn't refuse. Thinking of the wanted poster she saw during the day, she said to Ling Xue and the other two, "Xuanyuan Kingdom has issued wanted posters for the three of you. If you want to go out, the three of you should disguise yourselves."

Ling Xue and the other two nodded in agreement. They had also seen their wanted posters on the light screen, and it seemed they would have to be more careful in the future.

Qin Qianlu's hair dried in no time. She asked Ling Wei to sit down and rest for a while, and Ling Wei smiled and agreed. Everyone in the room watched TV together, creating a warm atmosphere.

As Qin Qianluo watched, she leaned against An Yue and fell asleep. An Yue couldn't help but chuckle, feeling a pang of heartache. Ever since arriving in Xuanyuan Kingdom, Qin Qianluo had been on edge, fearing something might go wrong.

He gently picked her up and carried her to her bedroom. After placing her on the bed, he quietly closed the door. Everyone else went to rest, and the space fell into silence.

Emperor Xuanyuan, however, discovered the inn where they had stayed when they first entered the country, as well as the horses hidden outside the imperial city. Upon learning that there were six people, Emperor Xuanyuan pondered: Who are the other three? Who did Ling Xue and the others bring back?
