Chapter 67 Confirming the Source of Merit

Since learning from 001 that the secret guards had not told anyone about her secret trip to Xuanyuan Kingdom, Qin Qianluo felt even closer to them.

Upon hearing this, the guards exchanged glances. Xuan Ying stepped forward and respectfully said, "Your Highness, we will follow Your Highness's arrangements."

Upon hearing this, Qin Qianluo nodded and said softly, "Let's talk about it when we get to the capital. I can sneak back alone without drawing attention, and I'm sure I won't be discovered."

Stepping into the Tianxuan Kingdom, Qin Qianluo's tense nerves instantly relaxed. Here, she no longer needed to be constantly vigilant and finally had the mind to appreciate the scenery along the way.

The closer they got to the capital, the more noticeable the changes became. The roads were clean and tidy, and the houses in the villages were beautiful and unique. Qin Qianluo even made a special detour to the farmland and saw the vast fields of autumn-sown grain.

Looking at these changes, Qin Qianluo suddenly realized the source of the merit required for 001's upgrade. It turned out that the things she had taken out earlier had already been implemented in Tianxuan Kingdom.

Qin Qianluo had a vague idea in her mind. Although she was not in a hurry to upgrade 001 again, she had finally figured out the upgrade pattern. She just needed to find an opportunity to test it in the future to confirm it.

She wasn't in a hurry to return to the capital. The journey, with its stops along the way, took about half a month. This was the first time Qin Qianluo had carefully observed the counties outside the capital; she treated it as a trip.

The scenery in ancient times was breathtaking; such opportunities are rare. This trip is definitely worthwhile. Once I return to the capital, I'll be busy all the time, and there won't be any more leisurely days like this. Taking advantage of this time to enjoy the scenery will also help soothe my tired mind and body.

Meanwhile, Youming was not so leisurely. He rushed to the palace to petition Emperor Xuanyuan. Considering the amazing abilities Qin Qianluo had displayed, Emperor Xuanyuan finally agreed to let him go to Tianxuan Kingdom.

Emperor Xuanyuan was truly taken aback; his meticulously constructed defenses had failed to contain a mere girl. This enraged him, and he flew into a rage, holding many officials accountable. In a short time, countless soldiers and officials within Xuanyuan died unjustly as a result of punishment.

Having received permission, Youming set off for Tianxuan Kingdom without a moment's delay. He secretly vowed to capture Qin Qianluo, seize the treasure in her possession, and avenge his humiliation.

Just as Qin Qianluo was leisurely making her way to the capital, Youming was galloping towards Tianxuan territory, preparing to lie in wait and find the best opportunity to strike.

The horse stopped outside the city gates of the capital. Qin Qianluo found an inconspicuous corner and casually put the horse into her spatial storage. After all, she had sneaked out, and it wouldn't be appropriate to swagger into the city to return home now. It would be better to wait until nightfall to take action.

Finally, at midnight, Qin Qianluo and Ling Xue emerged from the space together. Like ghosts, they silently infiltrated the Princess's mansion without disturbing any of the servants and successfully returned to their bedrooms.

Upon entering the space, Qin Qianluo led the guards out. Considering that the remaining dozen or so women might panic, she asked Ling Xue and the other two to stay and accompany her for the time being, and to find an opportunity to take them out of the space to register their household registration after she "recovered".

The guards, having just emerged from the spatial dimension, were momentarily disoriented. After a brief respite, they each used their movement techniques to conceal themselves. The guard responsible for relaying the message waited until Qin Qianluo fell asleep before quietly leaving, so that he could inform the Emperor and Prime Minister Qin of the Princess's return as soon as they awoke in the morning.

The next morning, Qin Qianluo was still fast asleep. She had gone to bed so late the night before that she was too sleepy to get up. Xuan Mei glanced at the princess who was still asleep, called the steward, and instructed him to have the kitchen prepare breakfast and keep it warm so that the princess could eat when she woke up.

When the steward saw Xuanmei suddenly appear, he was taken aback. After Xuanmei finished speaking, he came to his senses and realized that his princess had returned. He quickly responded and walked happily towards the kitchen.

My princess has been gone for half a year, she must have suffered a lot. I must make sure to nourish her properly, otherwise she will have to return to the Left Prime Minister's residence in a few days, and I will not have the chance to serve her.

In the palace, the Emperor had just risen when his secret guards reported that the young lady from the Qin family had arrived in the capital. The Emperor was overjoyed, even eating more than usual for breakfast. With the young lady's return, he could finally send troops to Xuanyuan Kingdom to expand his territory.

Back at the Left Prime Minister's residence, Prime Minister Qin also received the message from his secret guards. In an instant, the atmosphere throughout the entire mansion became cheerful. After the masters finished their breakfast, smiles adorned their faces, and the servants, seeing this, were also pleased.

Upon hearing the news, Lin Ruoqing couldn't wait to go straight to her daughter. She hadn't seen her youngest daughter for half a year, and her longing for her was overwhelming. However, Prime Minister Qin stopped her, insisting that his wife must have breakfast first; she couldn't go hungry.

In truth, Prime Minister Qin himself was also extremely anxious, but he could only go to "visit the sick" after the court session. Qin Jiyuan also missed his younger sister, but he could only wait until after the court session to go with his father.

Qin Qianlu slept soundly until 4:45 AM before finally waking up. Rubbing her sleepy eyes and yawning, she was taken aback by the antique-style bedroom decorations around her, before realizing that she was no longer in the spatial dimension.

She got up to wash and prepare her meal; she was starving. If she hadn't been woken up by hunger, she would have slept a little longer. Qin Qianluo had breakfast brought to her bedroom; she didn't want to go to the dining hall for food and just wanted to be lazy.

The maids brought in the food, arranged it neatly, and then withdrew. They all knew that Princess Qingyun did not like anyone serving her while she ate; this was a special instruction given by the people of the Left Prime Minister's residence.

After Qin Qianluo had breakfast, the steward came to report that Lin Ruoqing and Qin Qianyu had just come by. For the past six months, the two of them had come to visit the princess every day, but they had always been turned away at the door on the grounds that "the princess is worried about the illness," and told to wait for news.
