Qiyun Mountain

Qiyun Mountain

If there is such a place, mysterious and alluring, renowned in the martial arts world yet keeping a low profile, it must be the Bright Moon Sect on Qiyun Mountain.

It had just rained all night on the mountain, and the air was so fresh you could smell the bamboo leaves. The whole mountain was shrouded in mist, like a landscape painting.

"We have mountains, but water is not guaranteed."

A woman was strolling leisurely along a path through a bamboo forest in the mountains, muttering to herself. Her hair was tied up high, and her outer robe only covered the left side of her body, while the right side was covered only by a breast wrap. She didn't even care about shoes and socks, walking barefoot in such a place.

The bells hanging from her ankles rang out in harmony with the rustling of the bamboo leaves, creating a sense of tranquility.

Of course, this refers to people without malicious intent.

For bad guys, this bell is like a death knell, a signal warning them not to come near.

Just then, a commotion arose below. A boy was seen stumbling and running uphill, followed by three or four people who didn't look very friendly.

After several days of travel, Shen Ci finally arrived at the Mingyue Sect to become an apprentice. However, he was cheated out of all his money by a dishonest merchant on the way and then encountered a group of bandits. With no other choice, he had to run up the mountain without even noticing that someone was standing in front of him.

Looking at the young man in white before her, the woman simply sighed softly, then lightly leaped and landed between Shen Ci and the bandit.

"Pretty arrogant, huh? Now you even dare to come up the mountain." As she said this, the woman drew her sword from her waist, its cold gleam flashing in everyone's eyes. "Is your next step to go up into the Bright Moon Sect?"

The group of men were taken aback at first, but when they looked at the woman in front of them, they didn't seem to be afraid at all.

"That brat stole our things, heroine, you must stand up for us!" The leader put on a pitiful look, but anyone could tell he was faking it.

Shen Ci also became anxious: "You! You're talking nonsense! You were the ones who tried to rob me, that's why I ran away." He jumped up and down several times in his anxiety, "Look, heroine, I clearly have nothing on me."

After looking at these things, the woman turned to the robber and said, "See? He has nothing on him. Hurry up and leave."

The man narrowed his eyes: "Oh dear, are you protecting him? Even the Bright Moon Sect can't operate like this."

"It's not that I'm trying to protect him, but he's already entered our sect's territory, so logically I should protect him," the woman said calmly.

"Don't think I don't know, this place is still half a mountain away from your sect, so where did this 'inner territory' come from?" The bandit was clearly getting impatient, and his voice gradually lowered.

The woman raised her sword and slashed it across the stone steps beneath her feet. Sparks flew as a boundary was drawn: "Now it's there."

"Who do you think you are? You think you can just say you have something and then it doesn't matter?" The man had lost all patience and raised his hand to strike the woman in front of him. However, she simply dodged to the side and then quickly leaped up, striking him hard in the face with the hilt of her sword. The bandit was forced to stagger backward, and if it weren't for the person behind him supporting him, he would have fallen down the mountain.

The woman looked down at them and said, "Here, no one dares to ask me who Jiang Yingyue is, and no one dares to act arrogantly in front of me."

Upon hearing the name Jiang Yingyue, the bandits trembled violently: "Heroine Jiang... we were blind and didn't recognize your greatness. Please, Heroine Jiang, spare our lives!"

"Don't let me see you again."

After saying that, the bandits fled down the mountain as if their lives depended on it. Jiang Yingyue sighed and was about to leave when she heard Shen Ci suddenly speak: "Thank you for saving me, heroine."

Jiang Yingyue was also startled, she had forgotten that there was someone behind her: "It's nothing, it's nothing. If you have something else to do, go ahead and do it. I'm in a hurry to get down the mountain."
