Chapter 123 I am a weak woman, I fear... loneliness.

Chapter 123 I am a weak woman, I fear... loneliness.

She was like a lost child in a misty jungle, bewildered, helpless, yet curious, trying hard to break through the thick fog and see the sunlight overhead.

After returning to China, Su Meng hovered on the brink of life and death several times, and had long since... grown accustomed to this situation.

She calmly untied the rope and flicked two silver needles out of her fingers.

The two people arguing in front of her with their backs to her were immediately frozen in place.

In an instant, one person fainted and another stood frozen in place.

Su Meng stepped forward and calmly instructed, "Go to Huangyan Island."

She wanted to see what secrets Huangyan Island held.

The person who couldn't move seemed to hear the voice of the devil, and tried desperately to turn his head, wanting to kill Su Meng.

Wanting to break free from the shackles of the silver needles.

He seemed not to hear, staring straight ahead, secretly gathering his strength.

His eyes bulged out from the effort, his breathing was long and deep with extreme repression, and the veins on his forehead stood out.

The muscles on his strong back were taut and bulging, stretching his clothes straight and revealing the clear outline of the muscles.

Su Meng clicked her tongue in amazement and scoffed, "I advise you not to make a futile struggle."

If I can subdue you once, I can do it again.

Or perhaps it will lead you to meet the Dragon King, just like him.

She calmly removed all the items from the unconscious man's body and threw him into the sea without hesitation.

With a loud "thump," the water completely shattered his defenses.

He glanced at Su Meng, his voice hoarse but still steady, "What do you want?"

Su Meng turned her head and smiled innocently, "Let's go to Huangyan Island!"

Didn't you say you'd take me to Huangyan Island so I could make the most of it?

I want to go, will you come with me?

Her clear eyes were full of smiles, just like a simple young girl yearning for poetry and distant places, her longing, curiosity and excitement shining through.

The dim light flickered on her face, light and shadow swaying freely in her dimples.

He looked away. "Aren't you afraid I'll turn around and kill you?"

Su Meng didn't even look up. "Why don't you give it a try?"

The man gave a disdainful snort and stood aside like a wooden statue.

He can't do anything to her now, and he doesn't believe that the silver needles can keep him immobilized forever.

The boat lost control and drifted aimlessly on the water, floating about an unknown distance.

Su Meng was unfamiliar with this place and didn't even know where Huangyan Island was.

She glanced at the stubborn man, toying with the pills she had just made, and said, "If you don't want to die, then obediently go to Huangyan Island."

Otherwise, to reduce fuel consumption, you wouldn't need to keep it.

She didn't ask who he was, nor who he served.

Her biggest concern right now is how to get to shore safely.

The fuel gauge on the fishing boat showed that the fuel level was low, with only two bars remaining.

She didn't know how much diesel fuel she would need to return the way she came, and she felt a pang of anxiety.

His gaze involuntarily fell on the last ten liters of diesel fuel in the room, and his fingers curled up nervously.

When the man heard her mention fuel consumption, he couldn't help but glance at the fuel gauge, a fleeting look of panic crossing his face.

Then, a smug smile appeared on his lips.

"Then let's die together!" He glanced at Su Meng again and said with certainty, "You shot me last night, so you'll die with me today."

This is the best arrangement from God.

Haha! I've been single my whole life, so I guess I've lived a fulfilling life.

He laughed triumphantly.

Su Meng shoved the pill into his mouth.

After removing the silver needles, I quickly inserted a few more needles into him.

"Don't even dream about it! If you take my poison, you'd better behave yourself if you don't want your intestines to burst open."

If she weren't incapable of steering the boat, she would have kicked the man overboard long ago.

She didn't care whether he was an enemy agent or not; anyone who threatened her life deserved to die!

The man suddenly realized he could move his right hand and immediately attacked Su Meng.

But as soon as he moved, he was horrified to discover that only that arm could move.

"One arm is enough to steer the boat, right? Hurry up!" Su Meng said impatiently.

The man was filled with murderous intent, his teeth chattering with hatred, and he uttered a chilling sentence: "You'd better beg not to fall into my hands."

Su Meng chuckled, "Heh! Thanks for the reminder. Brother, do my pills taste good?"

Upon hearing this, the man's face immediately changed, and he knelt down in pain.

His stomach felt like it was filled with fire, burning him so much that he bent over, like a fully drawn bow, unable to let out any shout.

Cold sweat trickled down my face, down my cheeks, and splattered onto the boat.

He clenched his teeth, suppressing his groans as they slid down his throat and into his stomach, hoping to ease the burning sensation.

He had thought Su Meng was just a delicate researcher, but he never expected her to be a master of drug production.

This torture was even more agonizing than his three-day, three-night non-stop training.

In the final, blurry moment, his unyielding spirit softened, and with all the strength of his life, he managed to utter through clenched teeth, "I... will listen to you!"

Su Meng pretended not to hear, playing with the silver needles in one hand and propping her head up with the other, looking at him with a mocking expression.

"Do you think someone who does mechanical research like me wouldn't recognize a compass, or wouldn't know how to tinker with ships?"

You must have investigated me.

That means forgetting that the Shanghai Shipyard was once my family's business. Do you think I, having grown up surrounded by it, wouldn't understand ships?

She appeared completely calm and collected, with no trace of lying on her face.

"I just don't want to do manual labor."

And also, the sea is so calm at night, and I, a frail woman, am afraid of... being alone.

She casually exposed her weakness, looking at the man with a mocking gaze, and offered him a choice: "Start the boat or continue to enjoy the feeling of being gutted?"

"sail."

Su Meng snapped her fingers with a smirk, "Alright! Let's set sail!"

The man, hunched over, was about to ask for the antidote when he noticed that the burning sensation in his stomach seemed to have lessened somewhat.

He looked at Su Meng incredulously and asked in a trembling voice, "You are proficient in poisons?"

Su Meng snorted and rolled her eyes at him. "Didn't you see it?"

The man's facial muscles twitched uncontrollably as he gripped the helm with his right hand.

The ship finally sailed smoothly, moving from darkness into the morning light.

Su Meng didn't sleep a wink all night. She sat cross-legged to the side, her hands supporting her chin, sometimes looking at the instrument panel, sometimes looking into the unknown distance, silently memorizing his actions in controlling the ship.

The man remained silent the entire way.

He stole several glances at Su Meng, the fear and hatred in his eyes slowly turning into doubt and curiosity.

"Aren't you afraid I'll lead you into another country?"

He looked at the girl stretching her limbs in the morning light and managed to utter a hoarse sentence.

"Another country? Just this little fishing boat? You're kidding me!" Su Meng scoffed, pointing to the island ahead. "I have a feeling that's where we're going."

"Have you been to Huangyan Island?"

“No! But you have been here.” Su Meng stated calmly, without any panic. “Isn’t that Huangyan Island ahead?”

Tell me, what secrets does Huangyan Island hold?

Is it to imprison researchers serving other countries, or to hide a secret military base?

The man, expressionless, tapped the fuel gauge and said something completely irrelevant: "Out of fuel!"

Su Meng didn't even glance at it, pointing to the island not far away, "It shouldn't take more than half an hour to swim across from here."

I could leave you behind in less than a second.

You said, even if you could move freely, could you survive being poisoned?

Just when Su Meng thought he wouldn't speak, he suddenly sighed heavily and began to speak to himself.
