How ironic! She had traveled across the ocean to learn medical skills and treated so many people. She clearly had the ability to save the child, but because of a lack of medical resources and medicine, she watched her child die in her arms.
In the last moments before Yueyue's life faded away, he struggled and desperately used his last bit of strength to comfort her and smile at her.
"Mommy, don't cry, Yueyue... loves Mommy..."
The next moment, the little girl who said she loved her, the last relative in her life, was completely dead.
Yangyang and Yueyue are gone one after the other.
At that moment, Shu Ying's heart broke.
That feeling of helplessness, that pain, haunted her almost every night, tormenting her repeatedly in her dreams.
After that, although she was clearly in the human world, it felt like she was in purgatory, suffering every day.
After losing her child, she was like a walking corpse.
She dared not recall that memory, and had no idea how she got through it. All she knew was that the pain, as if her heart was being torn apart, was something she never wanted to experience again, and could not bear.
Shu Ying thought to herself, then stepped forward and hugged the two children tightly in her arms. With a mix of relief and choked emotion, she kissed each of their little faces, desperately trying to feel their warmth through her embrace.
She repeatedly comforted herself, telling herself that God was still kind to her and had given her another chance to see her two children again.
In this life, she absolutely cannot let her two children leave her again, and she absolutely cannot let the tragedy of her previous life repeat itself.
She wanted both her children to live a good life with her, grow up safely, and have a happy life!
Yueyue and Yangyang were held tightly by Shuying, looking somewhat bewildered. Although they didn't know what had happened, they could sense that their mother was in a bad mood.
The two little ones looked up worriedly and immediately noticed their mother's red eyes.
When their mother cried, the two little ones, who are extremely empathetic, almost instantly burst into tears and sobbed loudly.
Yangyang clung tightly to Shuying's arm and asked anxiously.
"Mom, what's wrong? Mom, don't cry. Yangyang doesn't want you to be sad!"
Yueyue's senses were noticeably sharper. She immediately thought of something and, mimicking how her mother used to comfort her, reached her little hands behind her mother and gently patted her back.
"Mommy, don't cry. Even though Grandpa and Grandma have passed away, Yueyue will always stay with you and will never leave you!"
Yangyang nodded quickly in agreement.
"Yangyang will not leave his mother!"
After saying that, the two little ones buried their heads in Shuying's arms and pressed themselves tightly against her chest.
Seeing the two children crying so sadly, Shu Ying couldn't bear it and lovingly kissed the tops of their heads.
"Okay, okay... Mom won't let you leave Mom again. The three of us will never be separated."
It's just a pity that, even though she was reborn and could save the lives of her two children, she couldn't save the lives of her parents.
My parents were taken away so hastily that they didn't even have time to say goodbye properly.
Those people said they were sending their parents on a study tour, but they never came back...
She is a mother of two, and also a child of both parents.
Is this a cruel twist of fate? Giving her a second chance at life, making up for some of her regrets, but leaving behind the other half.
If she could choose, she would love to be reborn before her parents' accident.
She will do everything in her power to rescue her parents, Yueyue, and Yangyang from the crisis, so that her family can live together in harmony and happiness.
How blissful that would be...
Shu Ying sighed inwardly.
It's a pity... There's probably no such thing as perfection in this world. At this point, Mom and Dad probably won't be able to come back.
However, she was able to have a second chance thanks to the jade left by her mother, which saved her and her child.
Now that her mother has given her this chance, she must live well, make the most of this life, and try her best to make up for the regrets of her previous life.
Shu Ying rallied herself and gently comforted the two children in her arms.
"My darlings, I'm sorry, it's all Mommy's fault, Mommy made you cry."
"The fact that the three of us can be together is already the best and happiest thing. We should be happy."
When the two children heard Shu Ying apologize, they immediately frowned and looked up.
Yangyang wiped away his tears with one little hand while looking at her earnestly, and waved his other chubby little hand.
"No, Mom, you don't need to apologize. Yangyang and Yueyue are crybabies. We cry because we want to. It has nothing to do with you."
The little guy, all serious, wiped away his own tears, then struggled to stand up from Shuying's arms and wiped her tears with his wet little hands.
Yueyue watched from the side, her little eyebrows almost knotted up, and quickly stopped her.
"Oh dear, you naughty Yangyang, you've wiped your tears all over Mommy's face!"
The little girl's soft, baby voice tinged with a sob, each word deliberate and earnest, yet adorable.
Yangyang stuck out his tongue shyly, chuckled, and rubbed his hands against himself.
"I'm sorry, Mom, Yangyang didn't mean it."
Yueyue was too lazy to look at him. She took out her little handkerchief and carefully wiped Shuying's face clean. Then she hugged Shuying's neck and carefully kissed his eyelids.
"Don't cry, Mommy, Yueyue loves you the most!"
Upon hearing this, Yangyang immediately stood up again and, mimicking Shuying's actions, kissed her other eyelid.
"Yangyang loves his mom too!"
Shu Ying was kissed on the left and right, and shook her head with a smile.
