Li Qingqing shook her head. She had just changed Tuantuan's diaper and didn't know what was going on in the car.
"The flight attendant didn't go into details, and we weren't sure how long the delay would be, but we're not far from Beijing, so it shouldn't be too long."
Shu Ying stretched and picked up an extra-long scarf from the side: "Tuantuan has been drinking formula all this time. Everyone is still asleep right now, so while it's not too noisy, you can breastfeed Tuantuan first. I'll wrap the two of you in this scarf, and no one will notice."
She specially bought a very large scarf, which can be used as a shawl when it's cold. She also thought that it might be inconvenient to breastfeed on the train, and it can also be used as a privacy curtain at night.
Li Qingqing sat back down. Shu Ying separated her from the people outside, holding up her scarf with both hands, giving her a relatively private space.
Yangyang and Yueyue lay on Shuying's lap, their cheeks flushed from sleep. There was constant movement around them, so the two little ones got up and rubbed their sleepy eyes.
Tuantuan drank formula an hour ago, but didn't drink much milk.
Shu Ying put the shawl away and took out some steamed buns from her bag.
"Yangyang, Yueyue, are you hungry? Have a couple of bites of steamed buns to tide you over. After we get off the train, Mom will take you to eat something delicious."
The two little ones cooperated well and obediently finished the buns that Shuying gave them.
The sky outside gradually brightened, and the train didn't start moving again until the sun was fully shining in.
The journey wasn't very long; it took about half an hour to reach the final stop.
Shu Ying packed her things, but the two children were still reluctant to leave.
"Mom, when can we ride the train again? Trains are so much fun! They're so long, and we just took a nap and suddenly we were all the way to a faraway place."
Li Qingqing was amused by Yangyang's adorable appearance: "Kids have so much energy. They can't eat or sleep well in the car, but they're still thinking about having another chance."
Shu Ying put a hand on her son's shoulder: "There will be opportunities. Before you and your sister go to school, Mom will take you out to play, okay? We'll go to a place that's a bit far away, and you can decide what to do then."
The two little ones cheered with joy.
Song Zhaodi followed behind. Although she didn't know where they were going, the train had arrived at the station, and there was nowhere left for her to stay.
"Well, Song Zhaodi, you heartless spendthrift woman! I've been feeding and taking good care of you, and you still want to run away? You eat my food and drink my water, I think you've been living a good life for too long, you've forgotten who you are!"
Just as Song Zhaodi stood up from her seat, hurried footsteps came from the carriage behind her.
Hearing the nightmarish voice, Song Zhaodi's back stiffened, and her hands began to tremble uncontrollably.
The light in her eyes gradually faded, replaced by fear.
"I've been your family's slave for so many years, I really can't take it anymore. I beg you to let me go, or you can just beat me to death and give me a quick death."
Song Zhaodi instinctively tried to back away, but Zhou Dawei grabbed her hair with one hand and started cursing.
"I've been looking for you on this train all night, searching one by one. I finally found you, you jinx. You think you can run away? Let me tell you, you were born into our family, and you'll die a ghost in our family."
Song Zhaodi dodged backwards repeatedly, but didn't notice that she had slipped and fallen to the ground.
She instinctively covered her head with both hands, wanting to resist, but her body was completely out of control due to fear.
The man's image was reflected in her pupils, and memories of the past flashed before her eyes like a movie.
"You damn woman, you ate half a pumpkin by yourself today. Are you a pig? You're useless at everything, but you finish everything you eat."
"I married you so that you could carry on the family line. If you can't give birth to a son, you can go out and sell yourself. We don't support idle people who just eat for free in our family."
"I think you're asking for a beating, you're so slow with the work in the fields!"
In that family, she took on the roles of nanny and wife.
She was responsible for the farm work, cooking the meals, and washing the dirty clothes.
She didn't dare to slack off for even a minute, but Zhou Dawei still beat and scolded her at the drop of a hat.
She stayed in this house, and she was really dying!
The man next to him couldn't stand it anymore and stepped forward, blocking Zhou Dawei with one hand.
"How could a man like you lay a hand on a woman?"
Zhou Dawei sneered: "This is my wife. Even the police station can't handle our family matters, so what right do you have to interfere?"
The man hesitated for a moment, then finally gave up.
Zhou Dawei sneered, stepped forward from his superior position, and grabbed Song Zhaodi by the hair.
Song Zhaodi wailed in agony, "I beg you, just kill me."
Zhou Dawei raised his arm high, about to slap Song Zhaodi across the face.
Shu Ying, who was standing next to him, grabbed a thermos and slammed it hard on Zhou Dawei's head.
"Are you out of your mind? Hitting a woman in public! You've terrified my children! If anything happens to my two kids, even if it means going bankrupt, I'll drag you to the police station!"
Yueyue and Yangyang exchanged a glance and immediately understood Shuying's intention. The two children then burst into tears in perfect unison.
Tuantuan was fast asleep when the noise outside startled him.
The tiny baby cried his heart out in his swaddling clothes.
Before Zhou Dawei could react, he was hit hard on the head and had to lower his hand, turning his attention to Shu Ying.
Before he could even see clearly, Shu Ying rushed over.
She pressed his head down with one hand and continued to smash the thermos cup down hard!
"You scum of society, are you only brave enough to lay a hand on women? You're even glaring at my child, are you planning to lay a hand on the child too?!"
Shu Ying was furious, but the group of people didn't understand what was going on and only thought that Zhou Dawei had hit someone else's child.
Shu Ying hated domestic abusers more than anything in her life. She didn't let Zhou Dawei turn around, but grabbed his hair instead.
"Not only did you scare my child, but you also dared to bully a woman. What's wrong with your wife? Does she deserve to be beaten to death by you? You're her husband, after all! If you accidentally killed her, would you deserve it too?"
While coaxing Tuantuan, Li Qingqing also became bolder when she was with Shu Ying.
She quickly darted through the crowd and kicked him hard twice.
"You scoundrel! You even beat your own wife. You're a complete loser! You deserve to live a life of poverty and misery!"
