Chapter 17: Washing Dishes

When the man came out of the bathroom, he saw the clerk standing outside the men's bathroom.

"Sir, I'm sorry, it was the lady who told me to yell like that. She said you could come out and pay the bill."

"I pay the bill? It's obviously hers? She said she treated me."

"No, the lady and her puppy have already eaten and left. So, would you like to pay in cash or by card?"

"Well, what are you going to do if you don't have either of them?"

The clerk took out a walkie-talkie from somewhere and was talking babble next to his mouth. Then, several guards took the man away. One of them was the one who had just gone to the toilet and was looking left and right.

"Well, boy, it's really a narrow road for enemies to meet. You fell into my hands. It's God's will. I want to see what you are capable of. Come on, bring the torture instruments."

"You dare?"

The man shouted loudly, thinking it was a beheading knife or a needle to pinch his fingers, but it turned out to be a stick.

"I thought it was something else. I'm not afraid. Come on, I want to watch the martial arts champion's final performance. I want to meet him. If the stick hits me, I will turn it into slag in an instant. Come on."

The guard didn't want to hit him at first, but seeing how confident he was, he inexplicably had the urge to try.

“Hiss!”

Blue sparks flew from the electric baton.

“This, this is…”

Before the man could react, the stick hit him gently in the stomach, and it felt very painful.

It's like a monkey climbing up a tall tree, thinking it can jump into the water, but falling onto a hard rock.

With a scream, the man fell down. When he stood up again, he was in a place full of pots and pans. He was soaked and his prince's clothes were gone.

"Hurry up and wash up. There have been more and more people eating and dashing lately. Are you awake? You two should come together."

The man was pointed at the nose by a man wearing an armband, and then greasy plates, cups, chopsticks and other tableware were put into a large basin of clean water.

And beside him, there was a girl.

"You also ate a free meal?"

The man tried hard to adapt to modern life and spoke in vernacular. Worried that the girl might not understand, he explained it again.

“Woo…”

The girl cried so hard that the man didn't know what he had done wrong. Maybe he shouldn't ask her. Maybe she was sad about something. After all, she was a girl, so he should be gentle with her, lest after the girl's outburst, she would take away the good things and leave the bad things to herself like Ji Nianqin did.

The man became angrier and angrier as he thought about it, and he actually broke one of the plates in his hand.

The foreman who heard the noise immediately ran to the kitchen.

"How much is this dish and plate? I'll wash a basin later and see if you dare to do it again. Why come to eat if you don't have money?"

"Why can't I come to eat if I don't have money? Can't you lend me a loan? I don't have money for school, and my homeroom teacher told me the same thing, saying I can't afford to study. Aren't there student loans? Aren't they there to help poor students like us?"

"I think you're a student. If you keep talking back, I'll notify your homeroom teacher. I think he's right. If you don't have money to study, and then you become someone who takes advantage of everyone, is that your contribution to society? And you, what are you looking at? If you glare at me again, I'll dig your eyes out and wash them out."

"It's just a few stinky silver coins. If I could successfully travel back in time, I'd bring a sack and throw it in your face. How dare you insult a student like this? As the ancients said... I tell you, you won't understand. Anyway, I've made up my mind. Let her go, and I'll wash her basin for her."
