Chapter 45 Coffin

"Go a little over there."

"You squeezed me."

Ji Nianqin and the prince were lying in a cabinet that was placed across the middle.

"Are you sure we can get back here? I was behind the big cabinet before, but now this is a coffin."

"No, you'll just have to make do with it. I want to stand this up, too, and I'm thinking about the back of it. The problem is, it's too heavy. It's not like we didn't lift it just now, so we have to work together to lift it. I'll count to 1, 2, 3, and we'll just stand up and it'll be done."

"Are you sure this thing can lift? It's heavy."

"Listen to me, it's true. I once raised a praying mantis, and it could support tens of millions of pounds with its tiny arms.

"Then why don't you bring it here? Haven't you traveled through time?"

"Don't even mention it. He was still trampled to death by the top scholar."

Speaking of this, Ji Nianqin became extremely angry and was about to start a rant when someone came into the room.

"Dad, you died so tragically. I'm so sorry. I'm studying abroad and can't come back to see you often. How could you leave me like this?"

Ji Nianqin covered the prince's mouth and blocked his nostrils. If the prince had not bitten his finger, he would probably have suffocated and died.

It’s like whales communicating with sharks. They don’t understand the language and are so angry that they are about to die.

"Let's not waste time talking to her. Let her help us."

"I think so."

Ji Nianqin decided to go all out and was ready to ask for help from the person crying in the house, but as soon as she opened the coffin lid a little, she saw a woman putting on makeup, with her head held high, applying some eye drops.

Then another man came in.

"Hubby, I really cried."

"Honey, you've worked so hard. It's all because of your husband's incompetence that you've worked so hard to make money. After we're done, we'll go traveling abroad and never come back to China. We won't let you think about your sad memories anymore."

Ji Nianqin and the Crown Prince whispered cautiously in the coffin, believing the girl to be a mourner. This profession existed in ancient times, though it wasn't recorded in many historical records. It was understood that when the Queen's mother died, she hired some mourners to make a grand entrance. In reality, the truly heartbroken had already wept silently or fainted, while those weeping and wiping tears were truly distant outsiders.

"Look at my dad. Why did he die so late? He had no insurance a long time ago. He had to live a miserable life. If he didn't die soon, he would have killed me."

"Don't say that, honey. I know he doesn't want to, and we're kind, aren't we? If it were someone else, they might have done something wrong. Anyway, Dad's body will soon be placed in this coffin and then taken to the crematorium. We should send him off properly, as a way to repay him for raising us."

"Assholes! What kind of children are you? How dare you say such nonsense? What kind of insurance are you talking about? How can you give you money if your father dies? You are so unfilial, of course you hope your father is dead. Is it worth it for a little girl like you to fight for a man? He must be whispering in your father's ear every day. Why don't you die? Do you know what happened to people like you in ancient times? You didn't live long."

Ji Nianqin used both hands to lift the lid, looking for the figure as she spoke, but the two people in the house seemed to have left, and her teaching was in vain.

"Dad, you died tragically."

After a while, the same woman's voice was heard again, and it seemed like there was a lot of noise, as if many people were carrying a corpse, preparing to put it into the coffin.
