Chapter 67: Entering the Tiger's Den Again

"You still dare to run? If you run again, I'll beat you to death."

The prince was helpless and hid in the corner. Why did he leave the palace? After traveling through time, he encountered such a tragic fate and was always beaten. Could it be that as a prince of a country, he could not survive in modern times?

Of course not. He was trying to gather his strength and think of a solution, but his head was a mess. When he opened his eyes, he saw an ant moving. It was walking very smoothly, as if it was actually moving.

"Hey! Your house is on fire."

The prince mistook the ant for a ladybug and was joking about it, but he didn't expect a lizard to come over, stretch out its tongue, and swallow the ant into its stomach.

"Spit it out."

The prince was holding a lizard in his hand and trying to pry its mouth open, but unexpectedly the lizard bit his finger.

"It hurts so much."

The prince lay on the ground. It was not known whether it was because of the pain or the strong sunlight, but after a dizzy spell, he was hurriedly carried away.

"Let me go."

The prince shouted weakly, but a gentle voice woke him up.

"He's already been given injections, and there are four more to come. Make sure he comes on time. His condition is quite serious. Fortunately, he was brought in on time."

The doctor in a white coat in front of me looked like an angel descending to earth. Her big eyes were blinking.

The prince felt itchy in his heart and faced her with a smile.

"How is my illness?"

"I just gave you an injection in the butt. As long as you come on time, you'll be fine. But you were already foaming at the mouth when you came. You must pay more attention to your nutrition and buy some slightly more expensive nutritional supplements, such as..."

The female doctor was prescribing medicine for the prince and took out a large box of health products, but she found that the group of people behind the prince had left in a hurry. She thought they were going to the toilet, but they never came back.

"Doctor, thank you for saving me. What should I call you?"

"Hmm? Just call me doctor. How many boxes do you want to buy?"

The doctor cut open a large box with a knife, but he never put the knife down and just held it up, facing the prince.

"Well, how about I have a course of treatment first?"

"One course of treatment is ten boxes, but I don't have that many right now. You can take these back first. Give me an address for the rest and I'll mail it to you. If it doesn't work, I'll give you a full refund."

"What should I do if I can't find you?"

The doctor was stunned for a moment. What she was selling was a one-shot deal. After someone finally ordered a course of treatment, it was inevitable that it would be ineffective. He even wanted her contact information. That was simply a dream. The doctor was not that stupid. She quickly changed the subject.

"Were those people just now your friends? Why did you say I saved you?"

"They opened a school, but they're actually just a bunch of scammers. They asked me to apply for a membership card, but they wouldn't let me leave unless I paid. My fellow villager had already fled. She lied to me, saying if I ran away separately from her, we'd both be able to escape. But when I counted to three, I ran, but she didn't. I was caught, but she got away. Anyway, she and I have an irreconcilable hatred now. She's so disregarding my life, there's no need for me to bother with her anymore. I don't want to jump into the fire pit again. I'm always being tricked by her, and it's time to put an end to it."

The doctor pursed his lips, feeling that the prince was quite pitiful. He had just escaped from the wolf's den and entered the tiger's den again...
